I've eaten at Nopalitos many times while in Nuevo Vallarta out of convenience. I wouldn't make plans to eat here, or go out of my way. It's located in the Paradise Mall, and moderately priced food. I recently had the octopus taco and shrimp taco. Of couse I've had better, but it satisfied my starving tummy. The pico de gallo is also...ok. My husband had a piña colada and that tasted very fresh and delicious. If you are at the mall and you're wanting something a little more Mexican than McDonald's or Domino's, you might want to consider Nopalitos. read more

Avoid This Place! My parents and I came here to enjoy a nice dinner after our relaxing day at the beach but unfortunately we got the worst service EVER from the waiters here. It started horribly when a family that arrived after we had where getting seated before we even got acknowledge by the waiter. Horrible service, the food is Mexican but looks and taste like Baja Fresh in the states. My parents and I were so disappointed. If you want overpriced unseasoned Mexican food come here. read more

The steak was tender and delicious. Served with on a bed of spinach with a balsamic vinegar reduction. I had shrimp as well. With one beer, my order came to 352 Mexican pesos. I asked for a frosty, cold glass and a cold beer. Cost 32 pesos. The service was fast, timely and friendly. This restaurant serves basic, tasty food in a pleasant environment. This is not a gourmet restaurant. However, it does the job well. There was live music. I have eaten at this restaurant many times and over a decade. This restaurant has been a favorite restaurant when we visit our place in Paradise Village. Do not let the fact that the restaurant is in a shopping mall make a decision for you. The menu selection is excellent and everything from Tacos to a 2 pound lobster for dinner and pancakes at breakfast. The service is always top notch and they accommodate requests even for a youngster who wanted mac n cheese. The atmosphere is casual since most of the seating is on the upper level of a shopping mall. And another outstanding quality is the pricing. Inside the mall near Paradise Village, makes this an easy place to visit. The food was OK. The service was OK, but the wait for what we got was rather long. Seemed that we had to remind the server what we ordered (for drinks) to get them coming. *I should probably note that with most food in NV or PV, that the local cooking style was a bit off my palate, so it was probably better than I rate it, but it tasted a bit oily overall. read more

Moralities is walking distance from the resort where we stay. This is usually the place we go for dinner on our first night in Mexico. The service is friendly and the food has never disappointed. Don't get turned off by the fact that it is inside a small shopping center. It's definitely Italy worth the visit. read more

We've been here a few times because it's walking distance from Paradise Village Marina where we are currently docked. There's a few decent things on the menu but some are just terrible! We ordered the fajita nachos last trip and they were really bad. Essentially nacho chips covered in retried beans and small cubes of beef topped with melted cheese that cooled down to a "blanket" over the other items. They were impossible to eat! We were at Paradise Village for a week and ate there three times. Great food at an incredible price. Last time we had a lobster shell filled with creamed lobster in a wine sauce. Truly Amazing. While staying at Paradise Village we came here for lunch almost everyday. It is truly a five minute walk from the resort. The lunch and dinner menu is delicious. I recommend the arrachera (angus flank steak) cooked at medium. A little weird that it's situated in a mall so not a great view or anything but the price makes up for that. We've been coming here for many years because of Paradise Village, and we've had some really good times and food there. However, this trip it didn't go well. My son ordered Eggs Benedict for breakfast, and the waiter asked bacon, ham, or carnitas? My son, "Carnitas? That sounds good, I'll try that." Then it comes out with ham. The waiter is oblivious and my son said he'd rather not say anything, that it was good at least. The younger assistant waiting on us was pleasant, but the main waiter just seemed like we were taking up his time and we were the only people there! The check came and was 213 pesos. I put 300 in, the waiter took it, and just never brought any change. I was pretty surprised that he would do that, and he wasn't even pleasant then. No "Gracias!" for taking a 40% tip.
