Massages with Nick are amazing! Other services I have had there are also above average (facials, body scrub, nails). HOWEVER Their front desk staff SUCKS! I have been mis-scheduled ALMOST as often as they schedule me correctly, I was left in the "relaxation room" for 35 minutes (and had to forgo my appointment) because the desk staff forgot to notify my therapist that I had checked in and I have been over-charged and double charged. If you can deal with the hassle (Nick is worth it IMO) schedule online, hope they don't have to reschedule you, and check your receipts. I also strongly recommend calling the day of to confirm before you drive over. Also the manager is generally helpful and less snooty. read more

I have been here twice now and loved it both times! Love - Lisa is the best masseur I have ever had. She asked great questions and listened to the answers. Both times I had different concerns and she adjusted the massage to fit what I was looking for each time. Like - complimentary wine, champagne or mimosas. After that your specialist comes out. I personally got an oxygen facial. I don't remember her name but the girl who helped me was a dark haired lady. She was amazing. She was super funny and gentle. She took everything I said and made suggestions and helped guiding me on my facial care. As she was doing my facial she was super gentle and took extra care in my problem areas. I will try to keep this short, sweet, $ simple. First things first, we made an appointment for 2 AND happened to show up 30 minutes late. I had spoken with one of the girls who called us to make sure we were still coming. We were only originally suppose to be like ten minutes late & then traffic happened. They still let us come in for our appointment and had to switch our time from an 80 minute massage to 50 minutes but that's way better than them canceling our appointment!! My technician Hailee was the best at identifying the best services and treatments to address my skincare concerns during my facial. She is such an expert and I felt her care in everything she did. When my wife and I arrived at this location we were not acknowledged nor greeted. The lady that walked in 3 minutes after us was nicely greeted and told that they'd be with her shortly. My wife called ahead and scheduled an appointment we arrived on time were told over the phone that only one form was needed. Different story when we were finally being helped. I filled out my own form which I guess would explain why our massage was not 50 full minutes but a little over 30 minutes. The couples room was extremely humid and hot. The massage my wife received was done before mine she was very dissatisfied. My wife was looking to find a home spa to visit close by home this will not be it. Was pretty upset to book an "oxygen facial", double confirm that it was a legitimate "oxygen facial", only to find out during my facial that they don't use any oxygen infusion machine. I felt that it was very deceptive advertising so I just want to caution people. They call it an oxygen facial but it's just a regular facial with "oxygenating" products. It will not plump your skin up like a real oxygen facial. I booked before a special event and was super disappointed. Real oxygen facials are amazing, theirs is just a regular facial (which has already started to cause me to break out one day later). I don't blame the girl who did my facial--she was very sweet. But the spa should make it very clear at booking that they do not use the machine--the high pressured push of oxygen into your pores is a defining feature of an oxygen facial and I think people will want to know that they do not do that here. Based on my recent "Spa Week" organic 50-minute facial, the service and knowledge of the staff is amazing for skincare! They use Eminence which is a high-quality mostly organic line that actually works well too! Some other high end spas' facials are just doing a 5-step process that I can do at home with the addition of using their steam mister. Riviera did the most relaxing mini face, neck, and ear massage which almost put me right to sleep (done after extractions which are not the most comfortable). You can opt out of the extractions, but I felt I needed more than just a mask to clean some of my pores up. All I know is that my skin was glowing afterwards! I think the name of my esthetician was David, and he was brilliant! I can't wait to go back! read more

As I was opening Yelp to check-in, I realized I haven't updated my review since 2015 AND I was surprised to realize that I've been a regular here for two years already! Time flies when you have a favorite massage therapist (Zheger) and always have a consistent, super relaxing, wonderful experience. I have been here 3 times so far and have loved it every time. The first was for a Yelp Event - OMG. Too cool. (You should read the Yelp reviews for the event and be prepared to get jealous. tee hee hee) When I returned a month later, I came in for a massage. It was much needed and a bit painful at times. (I was tearing up but those knots needed to be worked out badly) The masseuse told me I had too much stuff going on in my shoulders that I should really consider soaking in an epsom salt bath. I followed her suggestion and it helped out soooo much. Last week, I came in for a no chip manicure and another massage (I swear I'm not spoiled! I'm just taking advantage of their black friday deals- and courtesy of Paul H. - yay for bday gifts!) I came in a little early and they offered me some hot tea and allowed me to rock out their massage chairs. You should definitely come early to take advantage of those adjustable massage chairs. The manicure was by Trisha. I always thought I had decent nails and cuticles but this lady made me look like an OPI nail model. I can honestly say, it was the best manicure I have ever had. For their no-chip manicure, the spa uses the Gelish formula which I think great because that line offers a lot of different colors. Almost a week later and my nails still look great. The massage felt a lot better this time- epsom salt baths do work! Brad made sure I was comfortable and he tenderized me until I was as soft as Kobe beef. I love coming to Riviera for a relaxing experience, and definitely happy about the new move to this location. I've had nothing less but good service and it's nice to see many quality and varying services that's offered at Riviera Spa. I came in for a massage with Nickm and waited a few minutes during check-in since I arrived early. The waiting area had many different magazines to choose from, and I noticed the beautiful fish tank that added to the serene atmosphere. My massage therapist came to get me and gave me a mini tour of the new location and told me about the different services that's offered there-- I noticed a LOT of nail polish colors offered. The massages here are very relaxing from any massage therapist (My favorite is from the owner, Nickm), and I always leave feeling rejuvenated. What I also really appreciate about Riviera is that they take the time to make clients feel comfortable. I still recall the first time I came in and when we went to the massage room, he explained how things would work, asked what pressure I'd like, as well as had me let him know if I preferred to chat during the session or just relax-- I value this because I feel that sometimes massage therapists see so many clients that they forget to try to help clients relax. Also I remember earlier this year I came in around my birthday and when I left I got a Thank You card with a discount for my next visit! That's so thoughtful. The receptionists and other staff members are all friendly and nice. If you're looking for a massage or some beauty services, try Riviera Spa! I visited Riviera Spa once before during a Yelp event. The services & employees are great! Yesterday, I decided to use my voucher for a free facial. My esthetician was Gina, who I met on my prior visit. She was both informative and very professional. After informing me my skin was slightly dry, she advised which products she would be using. Usually, facials leave my skin extremely oily. Although my skin was well moisturized, it did not look oily even at the end of the day. I was very pleased with the results and highly recommend for those who can afford the $110 price tag. read more

One day..... it will be socially acceptable for hetero males to get facials and arm scrubs... no homo. I was fortunate to be invited to Riviera for a yelp event and I came away with my mind blown... How in the world did my nails possess such sheen? I was able to get my nails buffed, get an exfoliating arm scrub, and a therapeutic massage. Trisha did a great job and made sure i was comfortable while my nails were getting buffed. She stated that she had around 10 years of experience and it definitely showed. She was automatic with everything. The arm scrub was done by Rachel and after i felt my arms, i swear i went back in time during my pre-pubescent days.... my skin has never been so soft. The chair massage was performed by Audra. Despite her stature, she packs some heat with her massages. I'm pretty sure when she massaged my neck that my toes were curling up. I could see my brain since my eyes were rolling back so far lol. Riviera Spa has introduced me into the spa life...... and by giving us great rates for future services really put the icing on the cake. Found this place for a last minute treat when I discovered an old friend would be in town. With such great reviews, I was surprised that they were able to accommodate two massages and two mani/pedis for the next afternoon! Service was great. I had a 50min prenatal massage and they have the belly hole so that you can actually lie facedown - amazing! What a treat for a preggo. It was an excellent massage - relaxing but also vanquished all those terrible knots in my back. Friend reported a similarly excellent regular massage. On to mani-pedis. While I wouldn't say there was anything "extraordinary" about the process - the skill of the technicians was excellent. Time will tell, But I feel like my nails will last longer than usual. I came based on a referral from a girlfriend to get a facial and dermaplaning. Online would only let me book the facial, not the dermaplaning add on. So I added in the comments my request and heard nothing back or any call / email confirmation. Upon checking in I mentioned to the front desk that I had requested dermaplaning and she let me know that they happened to have availability to add on this service but would need to upgrade to an 80-minute facial. Going from my discounted rate of $88 to $128. Sure that didn't seem to crazy. Kind of annoyed that they didn't have any notes and acted like they were doing me a favor. But let it slide. I was taken back to a glorified bathroom. Told it was gender neutral changing room? I was not given a locker, a robe or anything. This was pretty much a bathroom with a few cubbies, a really run down shower and a sink like you would find in a rundown restaurant and some very basic supplies. Nothing spa like about it. So I used the restroom and headed to a seating area. Where everyone else was in a robe. The furniture was a little different from what I'm used to. Again no hot tea, no slippers, no heated neck roles. A few minutes later my gal came to get me. We walked thru what seemed like a remodeled business office or dr office hallway to a room. Again no robe, no strapless robe wrap. And was told to change and lay on the table. The table I was warned was not stable and to make sure I sat in the middle so it didn't flip. I started having hesitations at this point. It just felt a little dirtier in this room than an upscale spa should. I get the hebbies about dirty or pre used linens at spas and normally ask that they change them in front of me. But didn't bc I was just caught off guard. The pillow and the towel on the pillow has a smell. At first I couldn't place it but it wasn't a clean or herbal smell. When my gal came in she was sweet. I let her know I have very sensitive skin and was a bit nervous about dermaplaning and that my skin freaks out and peels easily from dryness and product. But I also try to trust these are professionals. She let me know it would help w the dryness and would use products and masks for my particular needs. The towel that she put on my head smelled even more strongly and I realize it was the smell of mildew laundry. Over all I was on edge bc of the blade on my skin but the service and the massage that accompanied was good. She was thorough. After my massage she asked me how I felt but didn't run down any need to knows for what to do / not do after. I was ushered straight out. No water, resting, bathroom or spa services like a steam room offered. The front desk then let me know that if I signed up for their membership I would pay even less today than originally quotes. Basically a $79 massage and the $30 upgrade plus my gratuity. I didn't see any receipt and agreed. They let me know they would be emailed. BAIT AND SWITCH! When I checked my account later they charged me $79 for the membership and another $90. Circle back to leaving, I asked for my gal to come back out and tell me follow up needs for my face to make sure it didn't react. She let me know avoid retin-a. Seemed easy. I walked out to Travis walk on a busy afternoon past tons of people and got in my car. Just to look at my face and notice I had hair, eyebrows, nose and face with a blue mask still on me that they didn't fully remove. I walked past 4 riviera employees in full light and not one said anything!!! I was pretty upset. Good thing I looked as I had planned on heading to do some errands and grab a class. My skin then felt tacky, sticky and just not good for days. It broke out in splotches for the full weekend and then peeled and is still not right 2 weeks out. I emailed their manager to let them know about my experience. While their manager did respond and apologized, he didn't fix my billing. He said that the front desk person must have quoted me wrong and he would follow up. He did offer a follow up complimentary service with a senior provider. While I am / was a bit skeptical about the cleanliness I thought I'll give it a try. Asking for a gentle hydra facial. I was given dates to schedule. However the manager then did not follow up for 2 full days and let me know that now my chosen provider isn't available until almost a week later + I'm going out of town. I have a membership at another higher end spa and really love their services and products and amenities. Plus drop in at several other med spas and luxury spas. This is just not one. They might have good people. But making it right doesn't mean offering an appointment times and then not following up letting someone know that they no longer can get you in with a senior provider.
