During our week-long stay in Baja, we decided to dine at this restaurant for New Year's Eve. We assume that this restaurant would give us the same outstanding experience that Hotel Lucerna gave us. But, boy, we were wrong. When we walked in here that evening, we found the ambient to be nice. The whole place had a low-light intimate feel, and the place was well presented. The staff seated us promptly, and brought us our drinks. We sipped on wine while we waited for the first course. The first course, then the second, were more show than taste. They were rather bland, but we still held out hope that the main course would blow us out of the water. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The whole meal was way too bland for our tastes. In fact, the only thing they got right was the wine and the cappuccino I ordered after the meal. The customer service was ok, but slow. This would normally be excusable during a NYE event, except that there were only 20 people that signed up to dine here that evening, and we were not all there at the same time. I'm someone that's willing to pay for a quality time, but I also know where a place is not worth the price tag. And this is definitely one of them. The stand to learn a few things from the hotel that hosts them. You know they're doing something wrong when you can get a better tasting meal less than a block away, for a fraction of the price. This place needs new management, or needs to pack up an leave. They give a bad image to Lucerna and K Tower. Get it together, people!

Super fun, was great to try. Had a pasta. So, this place is inside a hotel, I stayed at the hotel, not sure how they operate with the general public right now, but we showed up and were seated shortly.

    Beef Carpaccio is AMAZING!

I stopped by this place for the first time this weekend to check out the steaks. Ordered the ribeye, cooked medium-well, which came with mashed potatoes (no gravy) and vegetables. Only 300 pesos (around $15) which was good value. One neat thing about this food truck is you can watch them grill all the steaks they're preparing right in front of you. Received my order about 15 minutes later. The steak and mashed potatoes were good/very good, though can't say it was great. Was very tasty but not terribly filling - I was able to eat another smaller meal just a few hours later. They do have more expensive steaks that are much larger, such as their "tomahawk" steak (a little over 1200 pesos, or around $60 dollars). Didn't get to try that one. But the food truck was cool. Waitress who took my order was friendly and spoke pretty good English. Would definitely come back and eat here again, though there are better food trucks at Telefonica, such as the Humo truck close by. Creta is actually a Greek-themed food truck, so they do also have other offerings besides steaks...

My other friend suggested the arrrachera pita, so we ordered that, took our number, and grabbed a seat upstairs. The pita looked delightful with a salad on the side, but didn't come with a lot of meat like I was hoping. It still tasted great though! I would probably ask for some steak next time I come here LOL. Too bad one of my friend's order never came though, so he ordered something tacos when we were all finished eating...
