No orthotics, kept my $$$, no TRUST Dr. Verille's policy requires $200 non-refundable deposit for orthotics. I ordered a pair and was told they would be in in one month (which is twice as long as others). They called at the four-week mark and said they were trying to get the insurance company to pay for them but wanted me to call and try to convince them to pay. I did and heard no more form the doctor. After seven weeks I called to cancel my order and get my $200 back since they obviously had breached our purchase agreement and had no interest in getting my order to me and they said they were protected by a non-refundable policy. They did not care if I had waited 7 weeks, no refund and hung up on me when I asked them to stop talking over me on the phone. IS THE PATIENT CARE YOU WANT? I went to Dr. Rachel Verville for help to diagnose my mystery foot issue. I'm very hard on my ratings of doctors and have to say this doctor and her staff were so professional. Dr Verville really listened to what my questions and concerns were. She is very knowledgeable, experienced, and very personable. She actually did all my steroid injections as well. I like that she does not send me to some PA or assistant. She is the real deal and does everything herself. We went into detail on all my options from medications to orthopedic inserts. After reading reviews on Yelp and meeting Dr. Verveille, I really thought I would have a great experience. She has a great personality and disposition. (That's why I gave 2 stars). But my procedure from her was very disappointing and front office staff was curt and almost rude. I have had an ingrown toenail fixed before. It was done perfectly. I showed her that right big toe as a guide to how I wanted the left big toe to look. The podiatrist who did the right one spent at least a half an hour sculpturing it, so I was a bit surprised it took her less than five minutes to do left one. But I liked her a lot, so I gave her benefit of doubt it was because she had more experience. After she was done I ended up with an infection. Which I do not blame her for as this is a risk I am aware of. But when I went in there to fix, I found again she was rushed in doing so and cut one side lopsided compared to the other. She said not to worry about it because the skin would grow around the sides, but this did not happen, you can see in photo attached. The side that was cut too short started digging into my skin and bothering me at night. I wanted to wait a couple months before I went back in to give a chance for the nail to grow out. But when I made appointment to go back in her front office would not let me see her as a previous patient. They said since I had waited I was going to be treated like a new patient and charged as such, despite that I told them the reason I waited was I wanted to see if it fixed on it's own first. They would not even let me talk to her about it so I just left without seeing her. This was a disappointing experience and I wished I had gone to the place that did my other toe. It was twice as far to drive so that's why I did not. I thought it was a pretty standard procedure read more

I brought my disabled father here to have an ingrown toenail treated, and Dr. Verville was just incredible. I live in DC and found her through Yelp, and thus felt the need to come back and leave her an outstanding review. My father is in a large electric wheelchair, and Dr. Verville performed the procedure on his toe while he was still seated in his chair. She was so pleasant, so comforting, and my father was stunned when the procedure was over because it was so quick and, according to him, he didn't feel a thing. Even though the procedure was quick, we never felt rushed in any way. Dr. Verville was patient and thorough, and gave us all the time we needed. My dad is the type to cringe at the though of seeing any doctor. It wasn't easy getting him to agree to go to a Podiatrist, but once we were there, the rest was so easy, thanks to Dr. Verville. I've never been one to write an on-line review, but felt my experience at RNV - Frisco was so unprofessional that I needed to join Yelp and inform others what they would experience if they visited RNV and Dr. Rachel Virville. My son has a fairly serious foot injury. We waited 2 weeks to see the doctor (not unreasonable for a podiatrist), but then only had 1 week left before he had to leave for a military academy he attends 6 hours away. The military likes to run you so it was important that he had his foot examined. When we arrived, my son forgot his ID since he just turned 18 (that was our fault), but it is what followed that left me shocked and in disbelief that a business would treat a customer this way. I asked if my son could run home and get it while I filled out paperwork; the woman apparently in charge of the front desk snapped back "no, you have to reschedule". I then asked if there was anything we could do to try and salvage the appointment and tried to explain our circumstance. She cut me off mid-sentence, got nasty and raised her voice while stating, and I quote, "If you are going to prolong this ordeal, you need to leave right now. I'm not going to put up with this". We stood there in shocked silence for a few moments. My demeanor is typically polite and cautious. I am always careful to respectfully ask for something, not tell someone I want something so I wasn't quite sure how to respond. The entire time this interaction was unfolding, Dr. Virville stood in the background willingly letting her staff demean a customer that was completely at their mercy without saying or doing anything. It was a very helpless feeling; I just wanted someone to help my son with his pain. Fortunately one person at this office understood businesses don't run without customers and spoke up offering a solution. Sadly, it was the new-hire receiving training at the front desk. I guess she hadn't had the "be rude to the customer" training yet. She suggested my wife text a photo of the ID to the office and we resolved the issue in about 2 minutes. Maybe they should fire the ill-mannered office manager and promote the new hire. The icing on the cake... after being embarrassed and intimidated, I had to sit in the waiting area feeling like a child in time-out while my son was rushed through the appointment and treated as an inconvenience. read more

Her facilities are excellent. I am really happy to have been a patient. My problem is resolved and I'm on the road to pain free walking. I called and made an appointment about 2 weeks ago with Shay. She was ultra sweet on the phone and I filled out my insurance paperwork online and sent it back same day. Fast forward to appointment day and I pull in for my 8 am appointment, I stay in my car and call per their protocols at 8 am when phone lines open. They ask for a payment over the phone and I was surprised since no one ever mentioned making a payment on the spot nor did I have my HSA card. (All of my other docs just bill us and we pay online afterward) I offer to pay it as soon as I get to work and they say someone will be right out to get me. Ten minutes later I call back to be told the doctor won't be able to see me without payment. Not even giving me an option to use another card. I started to back out of the parking lot upset that I wasn't even given a chance. I called back and asked to speak with the doctor and was connected to her medical assistant, Rachel. She basically made me feel like a piece of trash, even though they NEVER once said while booking payment was due on the spot. Shoot, I had the $20 co pay I just wanted to use my flex money which was on a card at home! Terrible customer service, rude office staff....not only did they lose me as a patient but they've lost my parents who were in the market for a new doctor also. read more

I've suffered in pain for 3 years with. The first Dr that I saw about the pain just wanted to do surgery. Nope, not an option. Left that doc, next Dr thought orthotics would do the trick, got the orthotics and went for a follow up. After sitting in the waiting area for 30 minutes, and another 45 minutes in the exam room, I just left. Another Dr said that I need to have surgery on my back before the heel pain would cease. Then I found RELIEF with Dr. Verville. We had a conversation about my medical history, she gave her opinion, I gave my concerns. Her pain relief plan worked!!! Amazing!!!!! I stepped on a piece of glass and had seen a Dr in the emergency room at Plano Presbyterian. The piece of glass was so small that it couldn't be seen and they unfortunately didn't try to remove it. I scheduled the next day with Dr.Verville. Words can't say how grateful I am!!! She took her time, listened to how painful it was to walk, talked the situation through, listened and began to try her best. Well, it worked!!! She found the piece of glass and removed it!!! I do not recommend Dr. Rachel Verville's office. During my visit, I met with the Dr. Rachel Verville for a short period of time (10 minutes) to examine my foot. Dr. Rachel Verville was unable to diagnose my foot pain and provided me with sample prescriptions, a boot, foot slip-ins, and a MRI order. I was told by the receptionist, who had spoken to my insurance provider, that the boot was covered under my insurance and there would be no out-of-pocket expense. In addition, the receptionist did not review the cost of the boot with me, which I later found out cost $300. Typically the admin in a physicians office will review what is covered under insurance and the cost of each procedure/item. That way the patient can make an informed decision on what they are purchasing. In this case it was not communicated to me and I am now paying for it. When Dr. Rachel Verville's office found out that the insurance did not cover the boot (20 days after the examination) they did not bother to call me to discuss the mistake and instead sent me a bill 30 days later for $300. That's poor communication and service. Fast forward two months from the examination, and I just received the bill for $300. After speaking with the Dr. Rachel Verville's office they said that the issue is with my insurance provider. When I spoke to my insurance provider they said the issue is with Dr. Rachel Verville's office, which I agree with. I plan to pay the bill because I have no faith that Dr. Rachel Verville's office will do the right thing and remove the bill. read more

Dr. Verville is so sweet and knowledgeable. I mean, not only does she know her stuff, but she's really warm and not intimidating at all. She helped me with a stress fracture on my 3rd metatarsal bone in my foot. She was excellent at explaining what was happening and how it happened. She also gave me practical lifestyle advice on how to go about my daily routine with a foot boot and a knee scooter. The front desk staff is also nice and there was no wait. The CMT was amazing as well. I'm so glad I found RNV; I was nervous to find out what was wrong with my hurt foot, but they made it easy and comfortable. read more

I would like to bring to your attention, the way I was atrociously and unfairly treated by the staff at RNV Podiatry (6300 West Parker Road, MOB 2, Suite 425, Plano, Tx 75093). The first and unfortunately, the only time I visited them for treatment was on 06/14/2016 for the treatment of a painful wart on my heel. I was rendered treatment which involved freezing of the wart. I was not told of the extra charges for the procedure and incurred a surprise bill of $140 that was sent to me a few days after the visit. However, that is the least of the concerns. At the time of checkout, I was given a follow-up appointment slot for the next treatment on 06/28/16, as warts require multiple freezing sessions as a part of the treatment plan. Also, before my first visit, I was told to get an x-ray of the foot at Touchstone Imaging Plano (Windhaven Plaza, 3304 Communications Pkwy #201, Plano, TX 75093). They have told me that they would only admit me as the patient after I got the x-ray done. I was in extreme pain when I visited them for my second appointment on 06/28/16 and could barely walk. I was late by no more than 5 min, but they were fine with it. However, as I was about to enter inside, they asked me to pay the previous bill. I asked them if I could pay it later, as I still had time left to pay it according to the bill. It took me by a great surprise and disappointment when Karina, the receptionist snapped back at me in an unexpectedly rude demeanor saying that I will not be provided treatment unless I pay the bill! I requested to give me 2 minutes to get the money from my pregnant wife who was waiting downstairs and get the treatment underway, but they said they were closing and had me reschedule the appointment to the following week even as I told them that the pain had aggravated a lot. Two things wrong about this. 1. The deadline for the bill payment was still 2 weeks away. 2. At no point did they mention anything about the previous bill having to be paid before the next visit as I would have paid it ahead of time, if I was told so. It was the most painful week of my life as I had a great difficulty walking because of the aggravated wart acted out due to the fact that they delayed the treatment. The worst thing is, that I couldn't go to other places as I had already started the treatment here, and since I was paying $140 for the first treatment, I didn't want to discontinue and let it be wasted. The atrocity in their attitude reached new heights when I showed up on 07/05/2016. I was late by 10 min, as I was held up in busy traffic. However, I had called them on the way informing that I will be running late. They said it would be fine, but asked me to try to make it on time. I made it 10 minutes late and when I entered the office, and paid the previous bill, I was hit with the extremely unprofessional act of Dr. Rachel Verville discharging me as the patient when I was in a great deal of pain, giving the reason that I was late. I never heard of patients being discharged for being late by 10 min in the middle of the treatment. I brought to their attention that I did make a call to inform them about it, but the receptionist Karina rudely remarked that they were a private company and they can choose to not treat a patient. This is especially unfair because of the fact that I was not a new patient, but a returning one who already started the treatment. I was in great deal of pain because of them postponing my second appointment to 1 week later and then refusing me a treatment altogether on the 3rd visit, citing absurd reasons. My wart has gotten worse and needed a treatment! In addition, I had already paid $140 (plus $35 copay) out of my pocket for the first part of the treatment. Disgusted by their actions, I went to a new place to start my treatment all over again. After having significantly aggravated the problem due to the delay caused by them refusing to render me service on twice in a row, which delayed the treatment by more than 15 days, which was enough for the wart to grow bigger and more painful. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone if you are looking for something involving second and further visits. read more

Purpose of visit: new patient, ingrown toenail Scheduling: appointments readily available, same day even available Receptionist: OK. Friendly enough and efficient. Bedside manner: Outstanding! Dr. Verville was incredibly nice and put my daughter at ease as much as possible before the procedure. The doctor did not seem rushed at all and answered all of our questions. During the procedure, Dr. Verville was wonderful at keeping my daughter engaged in conversation which kept my daughter's mind off what was going on and before she knew it the procedure was over. I also liked the fact that Dr. Verville was able to do the procedure on the initial visit instead of it just being used as a consultation time and having us return at a later date. read more

If your young daughter doesn't have her "government issued ID" she is not allowed to see the doctor for a consultation even if she is with her mother who does have identification!!!. Insurance card with daughter's name, other identification offered, license #, including offering to provide a copy once getting home.....but not good enough. Wow!. Waited two weeks for appt, on time and traveled a great distance.....but told CANNOT SEE THE DOCTOR without official government ID. No concern for the medical issue in which the appointment was made for in the first place. Appointment was for a consultation.....not surgery or treatment!!! Potential patients and concern for their medical issues are not top priority. Run..... don't walk away from this doctor's office! read more
