We're not super familiar with options in the area, so Google led us here as the most convenient choice. Definitely a no frills spot, but the girl behind the counter was nice and since we were eating in, she brought the food to our table and didn't have us pay until the end, which was sweet of her. My husband did the double dog, which came with chili, cheese, and bacon, and it satisfied his craving. I did a plain dog and a Texas dog minus the chili. Loved that they were footlongs! Stopped here for a quick bite on the way back from running an errand and that side of the state. I always like to try a little hotdog joints. This place is a family owned no frills type of hotdog stand. They have inside Dining and outside dining. You order at the counter and then grab a table and they bring it out to your table, this roadside spot has hotdog and empanadas and gyros so I'm not sure they know what kind of place they are yet they're trying a little bit of everything but the plus is they serve a Hummel hotdog? That's a long dog and they are very accommodating. I order the Chicago dog, which is their version of a Chicago dog. Give them an A for effort for doing the best they can with the ingredients that they Had. It's definitely not a traditional Chicago Dog, but it was tasty and they put effort into making it. Food sucks. DO NOT waste your money here. I ordered 3 hot dogs with diff toppings to try them out. One was a chili cheese dog. What cheese? There was none and their chili was not chili; it was overcooked ground beef with some chili powder sprinkled on it. Their pastrami was so overcooked I couldn't eat it, hard as a rock thought I would break a tooth. I came here because of the reviews. I ordered a Texas Dog, onion rings and a shake. The dog was definitely a fork kinda dog. Large and full of extras. The onion rings were very tasty and the shake was great. My only issue was after eating, it left my hands greasy and it left a greasy taste in my mouth. It was almost like the oil was either old or the food had a lot of grease left on it. I didn't finish the onion rings because of the oiliness and the chilli on the dog was a little greasy as well. I just may not be used to it since I'm not really a fried food person, but it definitely passes as fast food. I would eat here again, just skipping the food cookef in oil or grease. read more

Stopped by here yesterday for a quick hot dog. This place has been around in Bethel with various versions for as long as I can remember. This current iteration is just as good as the last. The Hot dogs are great. The French fries and Onion Rings are great. The interior of this place is very strange. This establishment isn't even worthy of one star. We ordered through Uber eats and the food we received was inedible. The Pastrami in the Ruben was so over cooked it was like rubber and the hamburger tasted like the meat was bad, it had an awful taste to it. Only things that were edible were the fries which we didn't even eat because of worry of getting sick. We called the restaurant and the woman said maybe you have bad taste and hung up on us and said to call Uber Eats. To top it off, Uber eats couldn't issue our money back. The chili dog had a New England chili texture BUT with jalapeños-- spicy as opposed to sweet-- delicious ! Nice touch! Hot dogs were classic foot long CT skinny dogs -grilled and flavorful. The buns were toasted on the grill - also adding flavor and texture. The atmosphere is simple -eat in or out. Nothing fancy. Folding chairs inside. The food was satisfying and well priced. $6.95 lunch special includes fries and 16oz drink w/choice of hot dog (my selection). Cheeseburger, veggie burger, chicken cutlet or grilled cheese. Food was good but I paid for extra dressing on my salad and didn't get it and when I called to address the issue I was hung up on also while I'm eating my hot dog with chili it's falling apart, maybe the bread should be thicker? I'm not impressed at all with this place OMG I can't even! After I wrote another bad review which was because I placed an order here through door dash and an hour later was told they were closed for a family event ( not mad they were closed for an event but it took them an hour to let me know???) I took the post down because the manger or owner emailed me to make it right so he offered me a free meal next time I ordered through door dash. I placed my order today and called in to the restaurant to let them know it was me and the lady that answered said yes no problem your hot dog will be free. 10 min later the manger or owner called me and said he couldn't give me a refund because I ordered through door dash! That's what he told me to do! I told him to forget it cancel my order and be done with that place. He said he couldn't do that because the driver already left with my order. I tried calling the driver and he didn't answer so I texted him and went on the door dash app to cancel my order. Then the owner called me back and said he could have door dash refund my hot dog! You think?! I told him that in the first place!! Long story short because I canceled my order on the app I will get a full refund and the door dash driver will have a great free lunch and the restaurant looses out on their money all because they do not know how to give good customer service.
