    Ronin Beef Bowl

Food was okay. The service was great and the environment was clean and spacious. I had the beef bowl & dragon roll which was pretty good. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the sushi. I feel like the beef bowl lacked flavor, but presentation was nice. I really liked that you can get a half roll of sushi.

I guess since this order was a Door Dash the restaurant thought it was ok to send out scraps and bits instead of waffle fries and sashimi, but paying a premium price for what should have gone in the garbage can't go without comment. The kids meal had more bottom of the basket bits than food in it and the $20 salmon sushimi was 4 quarter sized bites. The3 rolls (CA, Ocean, spicy tuna), but came with the tiniest bit of wasabi and 4 tiny packets of soy sauce. $120 (not including tip) for a very small and very disappointing meal

This is a great hidden gem. It's got an intimate feel in the smaller space and is very affordable in terms of sushi! I love the ambiance with the decorations and glassware. It has the small local business feel without sacrificing the little details. Our server Kase was very sweet and checked up on us the perfect amount. The food came out in good time and was delicious!

We stopped into Roaming Ronin for a last minute sushi date night and we are so glad we did. Walking in, it's a small and intimate type of spot, with majority of spots being at the sushi bar. The chef, Spaghetti Eddie, was super friendly and engaging. We love the name and idea behind it, as "Roaming Ronin" refers to a samurai with no master. It's a great way to describe this food and Eddie's creativity with the dishes. Hands down, the best spicy tuna roll I've ever had. It is non-traditional, and oh-so-good. The Suicide Edamame was delicious and was a fun take on the standard appetizer. I love the art adorning the walls, specifically the panda. Such a well thought out place. I would recommend perhaps a more robust picture menu to go along with the videos. My husband and I kept seeing additional things we wanted to try and we will DEFINITELY be back!

Really loved how intimate this spot was, had dinner with my daughter. The decor was pretty awesome, food was delicious and the tayaki ice cream was chefs kiss! Truly recommend, definitely coming back! Service was awesome!

Came here with a few friends awhile ago. Really good food, cool decor and good service. I recommend the tuna poke tostadas.

On the occasions I've gone in, the restaurant has always appeared clean and well kept. Customer service can be a little hit or miss, which matches what some other reviewers have mentioned. I've had visits where the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and others where I was simply stared at while waiting to order without so much as a greeting. It hasn't been bad enough to keep me away, but it's noticeable. The food is why I keep coming back. The bánh mì sandwiches are excellent, especially the short rib version. My wife is obsessed with the green onion pancake, and I wish I knew the recipe for the dipping sauce they serve with it. The pork belly steamed buns are absolutely worth ordering, and the crispy pork belly rice is still my favorite dish on the menu. The rich pork belly, fried rice, fresh salad, and vinaigrette all work really well together. If you haven't been, it's worth a visit. Try a few different dishes and you'll probably find a favorite of your own.

The prices are well worth it, a very good value. I highly recommend you come with at least 4 people but a party of six might be better. Why, because there is to much food for the two of us. You have to order 4 meats at a time, we had chicken, Beef Bulgogi, Spicy Pork and Octopus. Everything was excellent! Now Korean can be very very spicy, but here they use more mild heat and let you raise the temp with their sauce bar. Next time I will get pork belly and short ribs and skip chicken and octopus. All of the side dishes are at a self serve bar with lots of other items, like egg rolls which were very good. We will be going back with friends, that way we can get more choices and be able to taste many more dishes. Have fun, we did.

I order hibachi kinda often door dash because I spend a lot of nights in hotels and they make it through the delivery process pretty well. I ordered steak and salmon hibachi, medium cooked. Cooked medium was good, flavor was pretty bland. The vegetables weren't as cooked as I would like them, I barely ate them. They give you a huge portion of rice! (I chose steamed) I ordered salad which wasn't impressive but rarely is in a hibachi restaurant. As an appetizer I ordered spicy garlic gyosa ($6). It was ok, it had a lot of seasoning on it. It probably would have been better fresh and hot. I ate about half. See pics, I probably wouldn't order delivery from here again.

This our go to sushi restaurant in Corpus…read more I'm a huge critic when it comes to tempura, but theirs is perfect and even when we order for takeout, by the time we get home it still has a crunch. I usually get the Chirashi and it's the perfect amount and for the price I think it's justified. I will say though... they seem to get my husband's order wrong almost always. It's very rare they get it right and when they do, we have no problem, but when they don't... it gets kind of annoying especially when the waiter(s) repeat the order to us. He usually orders two rolls which are the Crazy Texan (spicy tuna, avocado, pickled burdock root, cucumber topped with tuna, with tuna, jalapeños, fried onions, and hot oil) and the Spicy Tuna Rainbow (spicy tuna topped with various fish). For some reason when our food gets to our table, the Crazy Texan is correct, but he always gets the Rainbow Roll instead of the Spicy Tuna Rainbow... or one time he was given just a Spicy Tuna Roll. Then we have to go through a whole debacle or calling our waiter over and having them fix this mistake. Not sure if it's a miscommunication between the waiters and the sushi chefs, but I think maybe having a paper trail would help with this problem since we noticed they almost never write down our order and just try to memorize it. Although the minor mishaps, we still return because it's one of the better places for sushi in this town full of chain restaurants.
