Went to this restaurant tonight, cause it was close to the Nederlander Theater, where we were going to see water for elephants we never went to this restaurant before this was the first time didn't know it was part of a hotel but we went there and we ordered salmon and french fries and brussel sprouts after we had house salads . Everything was top-notch. The menu is not very big. It's not like you have 100 items to choose from. We're done for what we had was all terrific. The waiter's name was Isaiah. He was terrific and the manager took a picture of us which I'll show you I'm wearing my Fourth of July shirt .

I popped in here to have dinner before going to CIBC Theatre for a show. Luckily for me it was still happy hour. I quickly ordered a happy hour drink then I ordered the salmon entree. They also have a prefix show menu that is $45 for 3 courses. I was short on time so I did not think I had enough time for 3 courses. The food was prepared pretty quickly and it was good along with the drink. I would recommend.

Oh man! $45 prie fix meal special. I wanted to check it out and it didn't disappoint. I sat at the bar and order an old fashion to start. Saw the prie fix meal and got it. First course, I chose the New England clam chowder. It was quite tasty! There were a lot of clam and decent size clams too. It wasn't too creamy and full of potatoes, which is a plus in my book. For second course I chose the rotisserie chicken, and oh man! They give you half a chicken. You heard me, half a chicken. It was so much. The sauce on it was delicious. The chicken was moist. The veggies were on point and plentiful, good veggies too. I truly enjoyed it. For my last course, I chose the strawberry gelato. It was a huge portion. I was not able to eat all my ice cream and ate 70% of the chicken. I recommend getting this if you can come on time. It's totally a steal. It could probably feed 2 people fine for dinner. Ended my night happy and went to bed right after the satisfying dinner.

Excellent service! Isaiah took fabulous care of us. Wonderful brunch! The food was stellar. The cinnamon roll was gooey deliciousness. I had the lamb hummus and it was phenomenal. The lamb was so tender, the hummus was perfect, and the toasted bread with it was seasoned well and a nice touch. I had coffee with Frangelico in it and it was very tasty. My best friend enjoyed her avocado toast and caramel latte, and my boyfriend loved his prime rib hash skillet and cappuccino. Really cool restaurant and decor. Fabulous chandeliers and lighting. Located on the ground floor of the Residence Inn in the Loop, great location. Fun relaxing vibes and I'll definitely return.

Stayed at the hotel above the restaurant! Came here for lunch one day and saw the menu and decided to come back for dinner. The place and service was VERY nice! I accidentally left my wallet and the people working kept up with it where they had it ready for me to pick up the next morning. I like that you can see the chefs in the back, next time I might eat closer so I can get a better look. A lot of people were there watching March Madness, but it didn't give bar vibes which is nice.

Popped in here on a Sunday afternoon while in Chicago for a work trip. Great solo dining spot! I was able to open my laptop and get some work done as it was not busy. The food was yummy. I love a salad + fries combo and both were tasty. The waitress was very nice and said I could stay despite her shift ending and me continuing to work. I appreciated that! The bathrooms are upstairs and around the corner which isn't convenient. Maybe this is typical for a city? But otherwise, everything else was great!

Craving a steak, but also trying to be healthy? Get the steak salad! The salad has it all: flavorful slices of steak cooked a perfect medium, sliced avocado, chopped egg, blue cheese, pickled artichokes, tomatoes and of course, lettuce. And it's huge! I could barely eat half even though I wanted to eat more. My fiancé got the prime rib and ordered it medium rare. As you can see from the pic, it's really rare, which wouldn't have been an issue, but it also was tough. This was disappointing. I tried some of the lobster ravioli that was overstuffed with chunks of lobster! I've never seen so much stuffing in a ravioli before. I think there were even some lobster morsels in the dish outside of the ravioli. I thought it was a bit bland. The house cheddar biscuits were really good. I'd pass on the mezze platter. Some winners and some not so much. Get the house cheddar biscuits and the steak salad. Service was ok.

First time here for breakfast. The coffee is really delicious and smooth. The food was great! Decently sized portions too. The restaurant was quite empty when we went on a Sunday morning so seating was not an issue at all. The staff was lovely :)

Nice old American style upscale restaurant. Was with a group of people so didn't get a chance to take any pics for you. Had a couple of items off the menu.... The lamb hummus was delicious. Braised lamb (fantastic) on hummus base and flavored with mint infused olive oil (exquisite). Top it onto the Zaatar pita bread...phenomenal. Highly recommend. Also ordered the chicken Parmesan which was mediocre. Don't bother with this one. Would try something different.

Great dinner spot before a theatre show if you are in Chicago Loop because service is fast & understands your time line. Indulgent and nutritious options. Plenty of seating inside or patio in the summer. Loved the rotisserie chicken salad which comes with a hefty portion of hearth, roasted chicken, mixed greens, egg, bacon, and blue cheese. Also, don't skip on the cheddar biscuits that come with an amazing honey butter with black sea salt.

-Had a company dinner at this restaurant -The upstairs dining area was dimly lit and had had TV screens projecting the news -took a while for the food to come (~40 min) -one person in our party had a gluten allergy and ordered the rotisserie chicken (which can be gluten free without the sauce), but when they came with our order, his rotisserie chicken had sauce on it --the restaurant was very polite about the mistake and immediately remade his dish without the sauce to accommodate the gluten-free dietary restriction Order: -appetizers: my favorites were the tuna nachos and the cheese curds -dish: lobster ravioli (4/5) lobster ravioli was quite saucy and heavy, good for if you're feeling hungry lobster meat inside the ravioli was not fishy at all, easy to eat, tasted like shrimp portions are good items were quite expensive (~$32 for the lobster ravioli), so not good if you're on a budget

This is the best choice for dinner before the opera. I guess I didn't realize how pretentious that would read, but there it is. The location is perfect, a very short walk from the Lyric, so you can park in one of the the four multilevel garages (you may need a substantial loan to pay for the parking) in the immediate vicinity and walk to both. The food here is pretty good, if you tell them you're going to a show and tell them what time you need to be done, they will make it so. Make reservations.

Enjoyable dinner option if you're staying nearby. Their prime rib is a total winner. Thick-cut and cooked to a perfect mid rare, it's juicy and meaty and steaky and makes it totally worth the giant knife they give you to cut into the thing. And it's got that wonderful bark on the outside that's loaded with cooked slow-and-low flavor. Served with some really flavorful mashed potatoes. Try the house old fashioned, too, with their house made fruit-infused whisky!

The last course was chocolate fondue served with marshmellows and a side of fire. It was as if you were making smores because it also came with some graham cracker sprinkles. A guitarist sits somewhere against a brick wall and plays music lightly but energetically. Service is friendly from start to finish and smiles are on everyone's faces. The menu is pretty easy to understand. You can get a three-course meal, or you can get each entree à la carte. You have two fondue candles in front of you, one for the cheese and dessert, and the other for the oil. We chose the three-course meal, and it was delightful. We started with the cheese appetizer. You get a basket of bread and fruit and we chose the seasonal cheese to dip. The oil for our meat was then left to heat, and we received a massive platter of veggies and meats for our main course. We chose the option for all selections of meat and seafood. After trying all the meats, I would opt for the lobster and shrimp. You can also substitute the oil for a broth. I would like to try the broth for next time. In one of the shakers, Gejas makes their own meat spice mix. It's recommended to put on the meats and even the desserts. It's a mix of tangy and savory and was a great compliment to the meal. We then chose the seasonal dessert, a white chocolate with vanilla cookies. Fruit, marshmallows, and churros to dip. We were so full by the time dessert came, but we enjoyed a few bites and took it home. The three-course meal, with five types of meat, came with about 10 pieces of meat. It doesn't look like a lot of food, but it truly is, with the apps, veggies, etc, your stomach will be full when you walk out of here. They also start the entire course with a mixed salad (so technically it's a four-course meal). It was very fairly priced, as well. Initially looking at the prices, you may think it's expensive, but it truly is a value with the amount of food they serve. This was rated as most romatic restaurant in Chicago. Its ambiance gives you the romantic feel, the guitarist adds to the atmosphere, and the staff is professional and friendly. This really was a great place and we enjoyed our time and meal.

The silverware and dishes were works of art in and of themselves, but our table was scratched up considerably. PARKING Parking on Halsted on a Saturday night can be a nightmare, and it did take a minute to find street parking. North of the 1800 block is busier because there are several restaurants within a two block radius. Side streets are permit parking after 6pm. Meters on Halsted are $2.50/hr. ATMOSPHERE Willow Room was pretty packed. We had a reservation for 8:15pm and my party of two was seated right away. The restaurant features a full bar, dim lighting and is nice and roomy. They have banquette seating around the perimeter, in addition to tables in the middle. SERVICE Our server, who was very nice and accommodating during our dining experience, came by and gave us our menu's. I had already decided on the RW menu and after review, my friend was interested in the Beef Wellington (not on RW menu). Our server informed us that normally the whole table had to order off of the RW menu if one person does, but said she would check with the kitchen since this was the last day of RW. Luckily, we were able to proceed with ordering from different menu's. FOOD I ordered a raspberry Cosmopolitan. I'm a Riesling/Moscato girlie, but I tasted the Riesling and didn't like it. RW dinner was priced at $60. I ordered: First Course: Caesar Salad (Typical salad, was good) Second Course: Mussels (Tasted fine, came with a baguette) Third Course: Short Rib (Could've been slightly more tender and better seasoned. I've definitely had better. Wouldn't order again.) Fourth Course: Orange Ricotta Donuts (Donuts were very good. Three were served, a few more would have been more filling.) My friend ordered a glass of Pinot Noir and: Truffle Fries (Fries were very tasty. I would order again if I went back.) Beef Wellington (The breading was buttery and very good. The beef could've been more seasoned. I wouldn't order.) Key Lime Pie (Was not sweet and had no taste. When our server came back and saw it was uneaten, she offered to take it off the bill. It should be removed from the menu altogether.) The busboys and server were very attentive. Our water glasses were always filled. OVERALL The atmosphere was nice, our server was great. Of all the food we ordered, I would order the truffle fries and Cosmopolitan again. I did leave full and did take my leftover Short Rib to go. Main dishes needed more seasoning. I would dine here again and try a different menu (brunch/lunch), or Happy Hour if they offer it.
