I hate to give this place a bad review because I know they just opened, but my coffee was terrible this morning. I stopped in Koffeewagon instead of my usual Starbucks stop to try this location out. The atmosphere isn't your regular coffee shop; lounging and enjoy your coffee with a sandwich and play on your laptop. I don't even think they have WiFi here. They actually don't even have food there! Only on Fridays and Saturdays which they offer two different sandwiches and mostly an array of crepes. There were boxes sitting around, no light music in the background either. Not a place you want to hang out at and enjoy your coffee. I ordered the Ethiopian coffee and asked if there were any flavors offered which they don't offer besides a Belgian chocolate that wasn't very good. When I received my coffee, I took a sip and looked up at the barista because I wanted to ask her what this was ( referring to my coffee). Perhaps it turned out so bad because the barista stood there talking a mile a minute with her friend there. I was reluctant to complain since they were busy talking. Anyway, It tasted like dirt water and I couldn't believe I paid for that. It was disgusting and I ended up throwing it out. I am a big coffee drinker and know this is not good coffee. Clearly, there is no reason to me to continue going to this location since my experience was so bad. I hope the owner figures out how to market this place better in order to survive in this area. read more

We stepped in due to the crazy good reviews on yelp. They are not wrong at all. This is one of the few places I've seen that have 5* with more than 10 reviews. I got the nitro brew and let me tell you, that cup of coffee was the smoothest and creamiest black coffee I've ever had. It didn't need anything additional, no sugar no milk. It had a great foamy head and Creamy mouth feel. The man behind the counter was very friendly and spoke with us about the store and how they were. Amazing coffee and the people who own it and work there are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Their coffee surpasses Starbucks right down the street. The Ethopian Yirgacheffe is my favorite, a medium body and not acidic. The avocado smash toast is also delicious and highly recommended. I met a friend of mine yesterday at Koffeewagon. Both of us used to live in Brooklyn & instantly fell in love with the atmosphere. It had the feel of being Park Slope but it's in a strip mall off of Route 17 in NJ. I LOVE that they do a pour-over for each cup & the blends of coffee were spot on. We were there for so long just chatting that I ended up getting another beverage while there. The Berryblast, or whatever it was called, fruit iced tea was so flavorful & hit the spot. read more

I am truly perplexed at any negative review of this coffee shop. This establishment has in fact been in operation for 2 years and has not only survived but thrived in this area. The atmosphere as well as the people are always warm and inviting. It is a small shop but the decor is eclectic and every piece picked out with love and pride for the shop. You can certainly sit at the beautiful "community" table with your computer and enjoy your coffee, conversation and one of their scrumptious pastries from Balthazars in Englewood. They do not offer flavored coffee and if you are a coffee connoisseur, you know that good coffee stands on its own. The beans are roasted in house and to perfection. They do offer WiFi and their network and password are clearly displayed. This really is a small treasure. Stop in and judge for yourself. read more

I've only gotten the almond milk latte and a few pastries, but the coffee is rich and flavorful, as the pastries are too. More importantly, the service is excellent. Ever since I got into coffee two years ago in the southern California, I've been looking for a legit coffee place in NJ. Well I didn't find any, and so when my coffee cravings got to be too much I would have to make a trip out to blue bottle in New York. Well good news for you New Jersey dweller (who have always been shunned as the armpit of America, and cursed with never really being able to boast about your state) koffeewagon is here. It's probably the only coffee (real coffee, like pour overs, cold brew, nitro cold brew...) you will find in New Jersey. A pound of beans for about 12-14 dollars, is a super deal. Oh and did I mention they carry 10 different kind of beans at one time? Yea. Legit. I would recommend one thing for the future (humbly, because I want you guys to stick around!). In most of the high end coffee shops I've been to (blue bottle, portolas, revolver, taste and see...etc) they have a ratio of coffee per grams of water, and they keep it consistent by timing the brew, and using a scale. Here they do 35g of beans whether you get 16oz or 20oz. That means one day you would get a nice cup of coffee and the next day you might not, because you're not controlling the amount of water or the brewing time. Anyway, just a suggestion. The coffee might be more expensive than Starbucks, but the customer service was top notch. Guy at the front asked me if it was my first time there and explained succinctly where the beans are ground and how fresh it all is. He then asked me what kind of flavor profile I preferred (never had that kind of conversation when buying coffee from Starbucks!) and he recommended a bold blend which was real good. I was able to see then as they carefully prepared the pour over. A lot more love for a cup than just pushing a button or level to get coffee that was brewed hours ago like everyone else. Amazing, food, drinks and people! I usually order their iced herbal, green tea! It's my new favorite tea! They even have Homemade Raw liquid sugar, for the cold drinks! As for the coffee, I'm not a coffee drinker myself, but I bring my boyfriend here, and he loves the Light brews, he said there's no coffee like it! And they brew each cup individually, so you won't ever get that burnt, bottom of the pot taste! For food they have really great granola bars for sale as well as some homemade pastries. New Jersey is super strange so far. Everything is off a highway. Also, very challenging to find a good place for coffee around here. We were not expecting much, but this was a surprise! Came here with my friend Nick C. during our lunch break. He wanted me to drive but I refused because he is rich and has a nicer car than me. I waited the whole week to try the nitro cold brew that Nick won't stop talking about. Upon arrival I was told that the nitro cold brew tap was not working. You can imagine my resentment toward nick when I found this out. Nevertheless the kind barista asked me if I wanted to try the coconut cold brew which she recommended. I tried it loved it and bought a cup. It was perfect for the hot weather we have been having. It left me feeling refreshed for the last hour of work on a friday. It also surprisingly enough pairs really well with ice cream. I know this because nick was in the mood for ice cream and I never pass on ice cream so we went. I don't come here often as I don't live in the area but I try to get this coffee as often as I can. I had a Sasini Estate pour over and it came out incredibly smooth and very rich in flavor. I would also recommend trying the nitro cold brew when they have it available. They do a really great job bringing out the flavors of the beans with this type of brew. My husband found this coffee shop while on the hunt for a cute place to grab coffee and a pastry ( muffin, bagel , pastry ). The parking lot is a little hectic. It's a busy parking lot I guess because there are multiple stores / vendors . The coffee shop is simple. There's a big table you can sit and drink coffee and use your electronic device. We were briefly greeted. A quick hello from the barista , since it was our first time we were really sure what to order. So she came to the counter and asked what we would like and we weren't completely ready so she took the guest behind us order and began to make their coffee. Finally she asked the other barista to take our order since she was occupied. We order the Manzi Mocha one iced one iced . The original barista then came over and said she would complete our coffee order after I had already paid. I was not given a receipt and when I received my coffee it wasn't a pleasant interaction. She kinda just put the coffee down and that's it. Not a thank you !!! The coffee was good , strong brew with a chocolate flavor. I would not return to this shop. I wasn't pleased with service . Oh and the pastries wasn't a large variety. There was banana bread and brownies . Didn't look appetizing honestly. But the coffee was good. read more
