This may be THAT coffee because I def spent $10.58 on a turmeric coffee today. And I do not own a house. I'm also not a millennial so there's that. Anyway this was THE BEST COFFEE IVE HAD SO TAKE MY MONEY AGAIN AND AGAIN. Weirdly enough I was actually on the hunt for a Dunkin but my maps showed none within 20 miles. Which obvs is a lie since there's one on every corner but Whomdst am I to question the almighty Apple Maps in an unfamiliar town? It must have been kismet because as soon as I pulled into Pour City I saw DD across the street lol. But as I told my PhD advisor in year 8, I'm not a quitter so I will see this thing through (spoiler: I did quit). I was committed to the bit. Pour City had me at turmeric latte. A maple turmeric latter with espresso and oat milk to be exact. Of course the one time I don't bring my phone with me the place is super cute. I made it shake by taking pics of the coffee itself in the car. Super smooth, velvety even. Rich in flavor. Sensational. I legitimately live 60 miles away. First of all, we don't often visit coffee shops just to drink coffee. We go to buy fresh beans ground to order. To be sure, there are a growing number of coffee options in North Jersey and Pour City ranks at the top. Owners and staff are coffee experts who gladly share their coffee knowledge in detail. The shop is clean and hangout worthy. Most important, beans are excellent single source, roasted in house, packed and dated in one-pound bags, which is unique these days. Coffee beans are ground to order when sold, but not before two days after roast. This allows time for gasses to escape and a better taste. We usually choose a medium-dark roast that provides a balanced flavor. Not withstanding the 5-star there is a strong caveat that a few coffee enthusiasts may care about. The house grinder does not grind coarse enough for french press which produces residue in the cup and some bitterness in the brew. This is irrelevant if you have a burr grinder and grind to your liking. We buy the slightly too-fine ground coffee anyway, because we enjoy the beans and deal with it. So, if you are not a french press enthusiast or have your own burr grinder, or simply don't care, then ignore the gripe and go for it. Pour City is rich (pun intended) with great coffee. ; read more

I want to avoid my typical Yelp review cliches. Pour City Roasters is my ideal coffee shop. My wife and I enjoy sampling as many coffee shops as possible. This is a family run coffee shop, they give a friendly greeting and an appreciative farewell. The service in between is polite, extremely knowledgeable, and proud of their product. The shop is decorated really nicely and has some comfortable seating. What makes Pour City my ideal coffee shop is their pour over selection. Frankly, just the fact that they have pour over is great. In my tour of high end coffee shops, many are getting by with drip coffee and espresso based drinks. Pour over is the perfect way to extract flavor from the coffee bean and it typically signals a shop that is focused on quality beans. Pour City had 8 beans to choose from for the pour over, ranging from dark to light roast, even had decaf options. As if that wasn't heavenly enough, they also had "Melina" available. Melina done in the pour over fashion is one of the finest and most complex cups of coffee I've had. They aged coffee beans in a Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel for four months and then roasted the beans to perfection. The resulting coffee had the best traits of bourbon, without the throat burn. Absolutely fantastic cup of coffee that I didn't want to end. My wife had a strawberry brûlée latte with oat milk. I took a sip, the strawberry flavor was great, not at all artificial or overly sweet. My wife really enjoyed it. We definitely look forward to returning. Visited friends in the area and was hoping to find a sweet coffee spot that's dog friendly. Though the Yelp page says they're dog friendly, please note that they no longer allow dogs inside. What I loved about Pour City was that they have a wide selection of beans for pour over coffee, and very fun flavors for your coffee of choice. I did a 20oz dirty chai latte with pumpkin spice and white mocha ("pocha" flavor). I've been to many coffee shops and this drink makes my top 5 specialty lattes. Based on food and service, I'd say 5stars! AMAZING tasting coffee. And the staff foster a friendly and neighborhood-feel in the shop. They know customers' names, they have friendly conversations, and really greet you when you come in. I'm giving 4 stars because I'm always looking for cafes to work from. The seating is quite limited (especially during the morning rush) and the seating arrangement is a bit tight. This made it a little difficult to find a good semi-private spot to feel completely comfortable having my laptop up with work info. This shop does pour-over coffee only, and the quality is outstanding. They use true specialty-grade beans, and every cup is brewed with care and consistency. Prices are slightly higher than some places, but that's because this isn't rushed or mass-produced coffee (the quality absolutely justifies it). The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and happy to explain the coffee without any attitude. Now that I've visited Roast'd Coffee a few more times, I have to say that 4 stars is more accurate. I was the first one in the door on Saturday morning, and service was as friendly as usual. This time, I ordered a Coconut Cold Brew with Oat Milk, which was ready very quickly. The guy making it even asked how much oat milk I wanted, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I can't say I loved this drink. The cold brew was very watered down and I didn't really taste the coconut flavor. Would still return though, next time I'm in town. read more

Cute place! The only cafe we saw around (besides fast food coffees) that was open past 2pm on a Saturday. Such a cool concept to have several options of grounds for a pour over. Also awesome chart that tells origin of beans and ethics certification. Place looks to be run by mom, dad, and their kids. Friendly and smiling faces. Was told their mocha espresso with dark chocolate was their most popular, so I ordered that and it tasted really good - don't make mistake I did and ignorantly swapped to non dairy milk assuming it's no cost! Partner got a latte I think. Their coffee art looks great! They were pretty busy with come-and-go orders even at 4pm. Kind of tight inside so it makes sense. We were greeted with a warm welcome, the staff was super friendly! I got the cold brew with oat milk, it gave me the perfect caffeine fix. They made my daughter a hot chocolate with whole milk. The barista, I wish I got her name (who was so sweet), made the hot chocolate not so hot so she was able to drink it. It was so rich and delicious when I tried it.
