    Double meat plate

I come here pretty often and the portions are usually good, which is why I was disappointed this time. I'm not sure if they were busy over the weekend or what was going on, but the portion looked noticeably smaller than usual. There was barely any actual meat. Most of what I received was bone and skin, with almost no edible meat compared to what I normally get here. The food still tasted fine, but the value was not the same as before. As a regular customer, I hope this was just a one-time issue and that the portions can stay consistent. .

I stopped by on a Saturday right when they opened. It's takeout-only with a simple setup -- just BBQ meats and a couple of noodle dishes. The shop was clean, and service was fast. As soon as I ordered, they started chopping right away. I got a 2-item rice plate with crispy pork belly and roast duck -- both were spot on. The pork belly was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the duck was juicy with great roast flavor. The char siu was sweet, savory, and tender. The soy sauce chicken was flavorful all the way through, even the tender breast meat. I can't wait to go back and try the beef brisket noodle and dan dan noodles next. This place is a gem and officially my new go-to for Cantonese BBQ!

Came in and the menu is simple. I ordered two plates: one with roast duck and honey bbq pork and the other one with crispy pork and soy sauce chicken. The place was nice and clean, no chairs or tables because it is to go style. There's sodas and drinks available to purchase. There's a window where the ducks/chickens are hanging for show, reminds me of Oakland Chinatown because a lot of shops used to be like that too. I felt the price was great because of the amount of food you get. The honey bbq pork was really good. I love the soy sauce chicken as well, it was sweet. I'm a little disappointed in the rice, felt kinda hard like being in the rice cooker long or old? I'm used to fresh sticky rice. I felt like the roast duck didn't have a lot of meat? I had a lot of pieces just skin and bones. But the meat that I did eat, it tasted good. The service was good. And the food came out fairly quick.

Large servings! Pretty good BBQ pork and amazing garlic noodles. The chili wontons were mild. The duck skin was a bit rubbery but flavorful. The place is a little out of my way, but I might order the Garlic Noodles with BBQ Pork again when Im around the area during lunch.

Update 4/12/25 Roast Eatery continues to prepare excellent Chinese BBQ roast duck, roast pork belly, and BBQ pork ribs. The consistency of excellent flavor of savory Chinese BBQ meats that Roast Eatery in Brentwood makes gives pause for having to travel to the East bay or SF for similar Chinese BBQ meats. I highly recommend giving Roast Eatery a visit when you're in Brentwood.

Was pleasantly surprised to find Roast Eatery on a stop through Brentwood. Good roasted items. The containers were heavy but mostly bc there was more rice than protein. But it did the trick.

Quack , Quack, Oink, Oink, Cluck, Cluck Roast Eatery Co WELCOME TO BRENTWOOD Yummmy roasted duck, pig and chicken served locally right here in our city. The meats are roasted in house the vibe gives late night after club eats. The roasted ducks are hanging in the kitchen window dripping with juicyness. Vibe is giving San Fran and Oakland Chinatown. I'm excited for their opening no doubt they will be very successful. I didn't order the soy sauce chicken this time but it looked amazing. I will be back again and again. I ordered the two item rice plate with bbq sliced pork and bbq ribs. It came with a side of rice and slightly sautéd cabbage that was nice and crunchy. The STAR is the GINGER SAUCE it's something special that should be bottled and sold!! It's really really good make sure to ask for one extra. PRICE: worth every dollar FOOD: GOOD GOOD LOCATION: in Safeway parking lot PARKING: busy shopping plaza PAYMENT: debit cards SPACE: no tables, no chairs ORDER: walk in TIP: no side orders served with rice only no noodles or other options

Great friendly service, SUPER quick wait time, duck as good as I've had in SF and Oakland Chinatown.... I stopped in on my way to Mr Pickle's and was easily won over! It would be nice to have some seating or decorations, but I was in and out so quick it didn't matter! Check this place out! 10 out of 10!

First time there. The store itself was VERY neat and clean. I received quick and friendly service. And of course the food... I ordered the Roast Crispy Pork Belly. It was so authentic! The meat was so flavorful and tender. The skin was crispy. Delicious!

What a great surprise. I've been looking for a local roast duck place outside of Oakland and SF. This place has a very simple menu that is easy to navigate. The store has no tables or seats. Duck place in Brentwood that isn't dry or tasteless. The duck is juicy, fatty and very tastey. I would 100% fat this again. The chicken was ok. Not the best ginger chicken I've had but it will do out here in our area. BBQ pork, was ok also. Not the best nor the worse.

Unfortunately, my most recent experience completely changed my opinion. I ordered a roll for my daughter with no avocado and added cucumber. When we got home, the roll only had crab inside. There was no cucumber at all. I called and simply asked for a refund, but I was told the chef insisted the cucumber was in the roll, so they refused. Instead, they told me to drive back so they could remake it. After driving another 20 minutes back (40 minutes of driving total), the employee inspected the roll herself and immediately saw that there was, in fact, no cucumber. So the issue I reported from the beginning was real. What disappointed me most wasn't the mistake. Mistakes happen. It was being treated like my word wasn't trustworthy after years of supporting this business. Rather than believing a loyal customer or offering a simple refund, I had to waste my time and gas proving that the order was incorrect. It makes me wonder if one roll was really worth losing a long-time customer. Customer service is about how you handle mistakes, and unfortunately this experience left me feeling undervalued. I hope management reconsiders how situations like this are handled in the future.

She is a key reason as to why we want to keep coming back; her attitude and enthusiasm is fantastic. Me and my family enjoyed our dinner and loved every dish we ordered. Their wonton soup is an excellent choice for a starter and can be shared up to at least 3 people. The wontons are fresh and tasty, the mushrooms are chunky and complement well with the bakchoy. There's even thinly sliced red pork which adds some taste and texture to the soup. We thoroughly enjoyed their spicy Mongolian chow fun. This had some sweetness to it but also some heat which was just right. The beef was super tender! It melts in your mouth. My wife ordered the Sun Kitchen sushi special which was delicious and had big pieces. The quality of sushi here is great! My son enjoyed his bento box which consisted of teriyaki grilled chicken, salad with creamy sesame dressing and then large pieces of vegetable tempura. This is an excellent deal with a good amount of choices to choose from. Jeanette and Tony frequently stopped by to check on us and made sure our meals were good and our drinks were refilled. They are so accommodating and inviting. The music they were playing in the background was on point! They were playing smooth R&B in which me and my wife were dancing. It's spacious inside the restaurant and can hold a good amount of guests. I will say, I wish the temperature was cooler inside; it was a bit warm but didn't really bother us. We can't wait to come back! We love this place!

We were given menus but there's also a QR code on the table so kinda confusing if we were to order ourselves or not. I was just about to order on my phone when a lady came to take our orders. As always, we ordered too much food but were happy to take home leftovers. For two people, we ordered: -hot & spicy pork xiao long bao (XLB): omg, could be the best XLB we've had! Spice was just right, very soupy, good texture to dumpling -beef XLB: sooo good! Dumplings were made well, and so much soup inside! Good flavor to the beef. Excited to try the other flavors (chicken, regular pork) next time -juicy pan fried pork buns: unique, and verrry good! Lots of soup inside, great flavor! It's like an XLB meets fried bun! And so cute too. A little tricky to eat but would get it again for sure -braised beef noodle soup: loved the texture of the noodles, taste was a little bland, but a nice comforting bowl on a cold day -shrimp & pork siu mai: good. A bit on the small side, but you get 6 of them in one order -steamed bbq pork buns: good, nothing especially standout Decor is minimal, with a partial open kitchen. But the cool thing is the art on the wall-- it's 3D and is different from most Asian restaurant decor Restrooms were fine, nothing fancy, but seemed clean enough Come for the dumplings!!!

There is a great selection of food, and everything was well organized and easy to navigate. The dessert section is pretty typical of most Chinese and Asian buffets, with the usual cakes, cookies, fruit, and pudding options. One area that could use improvement is the self-serve ice cream station. The flavors tend to mix together, and it doesn't look very appealing. A soft-serve machine would be a great addition and would really elevate the dessert experience. The staff working the dining area were attentive and did a good job clearing plates and checking on guests. The front staff, however, could be a bit more customer-service focused. They seemed very focused on moving the line and managing the crowd rather than creating a welcoming first impression. That said, we were seated fairly quickly, even during a busy time.
