Came here back in June 2025 after fruit picking. Food was great and service was attentive! Clean and spacious interior with a cute cow mascot. Had the beef short rib banh mi entree which comes with fries. As if I needed any more carbs, but I will never say no to fries. The banh mi had a nice proportion of veggies, meat, and bread and the short rib was succulent. You pay at the counter at the end. Just be aware that they already tag on a service fee (or maybe that's because we were a large group). Definitely recommend if you're in the area! read more

Hopefully I can go back and give a better review, Saturday 08/15 me and my co worker walked In on our lunch hour to have some lunch. When we arrived the place was empty so we said perfect it should be fast and we'll have enough time. We sat down, placed our order and waited... as we waited more people started coming in . Some to dine in and some to go we started to notice everyone was getting their food and we were still waiting. A table a 4 who came after us got their food served so than we asked how much longer because at this point we only had about 15 min left of our lunch she said she'd go check she than came back and said. "Oh I'm sorry the kitchen didn't have your ticket but we'll get it out shortly" by the time our food was done it was time for us to leave so we had to ask for it to go. So we left without eating . By the time we got back to work it was time to clock in so we didn't even get to eat our food till later in the day. And me being 8 months pregnant I was supper hungry. I think minimum we could have been offered a discount or something for the inconvenience. As a server I think she should have also noticed it was taking long and gone in to check on the food but it was not till we asked her for an update. This place was tucked away in a shopping center I somehow never knew existed, so it already felt like I had stumbled onto a little hidden gem. It's seat-yourself, which I always appreciate because I don't have to awkwardly stand around wondering if someone has seen me. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us without hovering. The menu had a good variety, prices were fair, and there was plenty of seating and parking--always a win. They also had the World Cup on several TVs, so if you're trying to eat without missing the game, they've got you covered. I ordered the shaken beef with yellow rice, and it was the star of the meal. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, the staff was super friendly, and the menu had a great variety of choices. We recently found the hidden gem that is Moodles! The atmosphere in there is great! They have nice AC for those hot Brentwood days. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, and the staff are kind. There is a good amount of tables- even when it's a "full house," the noise level is good, and there's a good amount of space between tables. I did not test out the bathrooms... check back for that report later. ;) You stay as long as need and pay at the counter on your way out. I would call their menu "vast yet manageable." They bring the food out fast! And let me tell you, it is tasty food! The fried rice is very flavorful, and it has a slight crisp to it, which is surprisingly very nice!! After picking peaches in Brentwood, it was time to get some lunch. We checked on Yelp for suggestions and Moodles piqued our interest. It was short drive to the Brentwood Center shopping mall and was able to park in front. Arriving at 1:45pm on a Friday, there were a couple of tables of customers. Restaurant was modern, clean and bright. They had some TVs and had world cup soccer on. They had a specials board with nine items with three in Vietnamese. Checking out the menu, we had some questions. Our waitress couldn't answer some of our questions and she had another waitress come and she was answered our questions and described the special items. I went with caramelized pork belly with rice special. It came in a cute little black pot with a plate of rice and a salad. There were four large pieces of pork belly in sauce and they were tender and tasty. There was a boiled egg in the pot as well. Friend ordered the vermicelli bun with grilled pork and egg rolls. She was happy with the dish especially and appreciated the sliced grilled pork. If in the area, would stop here again if looking for Vietnamese cuisine. Discovered this place via Yelp as it was highly rated in the Brentwood area. Nice, clean joint with Asian themed decor. They have abundant parking right outside the restaurant. We arrived at about 2pm on a Sunday and got one of the few open tables. We were seated immediately and the staff brought us menus and water. Our group got the vegetable ramen, Thai fish fry, chicken ramen and the Vietnamese fish fry with garlic noodles and steamed veggies. We also shared the egg rolls. The portion size was generous and we mostly liked our entrees. The Thai fish curry had a sweet undertone which my friend didn't appreciate too much but liked the fish overall. I wanted to love this place, I really did. I heard good things about Moodles - before & after trying it - so I decided to try it myself. I grabbed something quick for dinner one night. I ordered the "Drunken Noodles". The Drunken Noodles: Thicker rice noodles, beef, tomatoes, veggies, 1 fried egg, and the sauce. Sounds amazing to me! The execution just wasn't quite there. There was flavor, but still needed more - flavor was lacking just a tad. What really went wrong was how extremely greasy the dish was. The whole thing was shining & you could quite literally see the pool of oil on the bottom of the foam to-go container. Pricing wasn't super expensive nor cheap, but I'm not paying for a bottle of oil from any restaurant. I'm new to the area (work related) so seeing what Brentwood has to offer and trying new food places I'm very excited for. Went to Moodles with coworkers for some Pho on a cold day. Menu items looked good and I was tempted to try some other things but I stuck with the Pho. I believe we all ordered the Eye Round Pho in either regular or large size. Two people also split the Shaken beef with garlic noodles. The broth was delicious by itself but I had to add in some classic favorites: chili oil, hoisin, bean sprouts, mint, jalapeño and lemon squeeze. I usually add two scoops of chili oil so I did the same. Man, their chili oil is spicier than other ones I have tried. Just a tip, add it slowly. I enjoy spice but two scoops was a little too much. I'm sad to write this review because this was our favorite viet restaurant and would always recommend this place. Unfortunately it's just not good anymore. We've gave it a last chance a few times and will no longer be going here. Both the chicken and beef pho were just so bland and flavorless, and the noddles were just all stuck together and were hard to separate. Pad Thai was the same disappointment as the pho. I was going to be nicely honest about the food when the server came back, but they never did. We had to flag someone down just to get the check. Our food looked like it was hardly eaten and they still didn't ask how everything was. It's not often enough I find a place like this! It was on my radar to check out, but it was family that told me I had to go with them and try it! They already had their favorites! Each of their favorites were ordered and I suggested an item they hadn't tried. Without going into all of the details, I will just say that I was impressed with the freshness and quality of every dish! I don't doubt that all of the dishes will impress! Saw the pictures and came here with my wife on a dinner date. The place is in a lot so it might seem inconspicuous but the inside is legit. Two TV's up with the playoffs on. Sat quickly and had water on the table quick. Funny as this may sound it's legit. The water came out in these nice steel cups with the small ice chips! It tasted delicious! I ordered the shaken beef garlic noodles, and my wife ordered the shrimp garlic noodles. They both were really flavorful. Like towards the end everything was cooked together at some point. We had a side of steamed veggies they literally were just that, no salt or anything else! But you gotta get the veggies in. My wife loved Moodles and said it was her new favorite spot! We recently moved to Oakley and tried a few Pho places around. We found Moodles on Yelp and went to Brentwood to check them. It's just a few miles from our house so the drive was quick. Noodle is on Sand Creek Road. Parking is abundant and the place is spacious. They have a lot of tables and chairs and the place is clean. I ordered the Spicy Beef noodle with beef, pork, Vietnamese ham, and tendon. The service is fast. I had the order within 10 minutes. I ordered the regular size and it's just right. They serve a generous amount of beef. The rice noodle is soft. The soup is not too spicy. However, you can add slices of jalapeno to get more kick. I enjoyed this meal, and it will be my go-to pho soup from now on. They also serve rice plates and I will try them next time read more

We come here almost every week for about a year now, for lunch after my daughters' ballet classes. So we clearly love this place. My 9yo and 5yo even get excited for Saturdays because it's Moodles day! For my kids, not only are the pho and strawberry smoothies tasty (and consistent), but they also get a lollipop at the counter, and maybe even a sticker of the cute cow logo, when we pay the bill. All the food we've tried here is delicious. Their papaya salad is massive, with a good amount of shrimp. Their popcorn chicken is addictive. Their grilled chicken dish is both super flavorful and light, with their side salad and rice. But we have to go back to their pho after a brief excursion with other menu items, even during our hot summers. It's so good, without that dry mouth feel you get at some pho places after you eat it, so you know there isn't a bunch of MSG. Their drinks are also good and very reasonably priced. Their Thai tea is solid and we get it almost every time. They even have fresh squeezed orange juice! My 5yo opts for that sometimes and I'm happy she is drinking something healthy. Also, the wait staff is so nice and helpful. They get me scissors to cut the beef for my 5yo and they always exude positive energy. The restaurant is clean and we love the fun cartoon cow mural. Sports airs on two TVs on either side of the room and a food show is typically on the TV at the center of the room. Great ambiance! So happy Moodles opened in Brentwood! Food lacked flavor, they were out of ingredients and when we inquired they told us they had run out since this morning but would get some tomorrow.
