Bacon, egg and cheese, plain bagel
    Rachel V.

I totally forgot it was Sunday at 10 AM because this place was so crowded. People were waiting outside for tables. Inside the restaurant was a little cramped but it did give old school New York deli/diner vibes which I really liked. We had a bacon egg and cheese bagel and I'm not sure the name of the other bagel we had. Everything was really really good. The portions are kind of big so also good to share. We purchased blueberry pancakes to go and those pancakes were humongous. Love this place but especially love the bagels.

We were in the area and decided to stop in Roasters 'N Toasters for breakfast. We were seated immediately. The waiter brought us water and took our orders. He advised me about the different bagel and lox sandwiches and was pretty funny. The food was very good . I had the Sam Greenberg, which consisted of bagel, lox, cream cheese and chives, capers, chopped tomatoes, onions and jalapeños with lemon. It was amazing. My husband had the Signature Breakfast Sandwich- which consisted of a Kaiser roll, egg, bacon and Swiss cheese. He enjoyed it. We also ordered fresh fruit and turkey sausage. Everything was delicious. I'll definitely go back.

The closest Roasters' n Toasters to my home sadly closed, but I must admit this is the one I like the best. So I made the extra 10 minute drive for my favorite Saturday morning after shul meal. Nova and onion scramble with potato latkes and a bagel with a shmear. The food has always was exceptional and the surface beyond exceptional. I like this one mostly because the restaurant is a little more attractive. But to my surprise and enjoy the bus person from the previous restaurant is now working here. He brightens up the meal and makes the customers feel welcome. At a restaurant that is this busy that is important because the waitress reminded me of a tornado and how quickly she went from table to table and expertly managed getting all the food out as quickly as possible, and all the orders taken even more quickly. This is as close to a New York style deli as you're going to find in Kendall. They are still interested in customer service and are the only ones locally that will still bring you complementary coleslaw and pickles. Their house sour pickles are awesome in their coleslaw is among the best around. Serving this gratis like the kosher delis in New York just makes you feel special as a customer. But there are many other reasons why you feel special here. My meal was great. The service was great. The restaurant is great. There's plenty of free parking. Love this place, will be back, highly recommend.

    Saturday crowd!

If you like NYC delis you'll LOVE it here!! They are serving up old world traditions that will satisfy the old AND modern tastes. It's crazy crowded here, Saturday lunch, but they acknowledge and seat us directly. At a time when you are used to paying more for less, Roasters continues all the old "niceties". We were served by the most vivacious Savannah, who flashes a million dollar smile. WOW--staff here sparkles and boy are they on it. She gives us TWO complimentary cole slaw and pickle dishes to start, at a time when other local unnamed delis now start charging for pickles! (I'm looking at you-Lots of L**) I get my chicken noodle soup bowl with house bagel chips and hubby gets nova and eggs, potato latke side with seeded rye toast and coffee. They keep us refilled immediately-wow! The prices are commensurate with the area, food quality spot on and large portions. Ambience is live and buzzy, Free coffee/tea refills. If you have a hankering for deli, this will hit the spot! We'll be back again and again. Roasters, you show them how it's done! Thanks for following me, happy 2026! *Expert tip-join their loyalty mensch club app!

Sunday lunch. Place was pretty full so we had a 15 minute wait. There were 2 booths available and we were 3. We asked for a booth and were told no. One was given to a group of 2. We begged for the other empty booth because one of our group is disabled a regular chair was too uncomfortable. We begged. That was unnecessary and loss of one star. Anyway, the rest of the meal was thankfully awesome. Our server was super and really went out of his way. The matzo ball soup is perfection! The kniche was meh but edible. The Benny Florentine was delicious; the hollandaise was on point. The nova platter was incredible, the smoked salmon sliced razor thin and all the rest of the ingredients fresh and plentiful. Aside from the snafu with the seating issue everything was great. Highly recommend this deli diner.

Absolutely delicious Original Challah French Toast

Stopped here at Roasters 'N Toasters for the first time. Upon arriving the parking lot was packed. We did find parking though. The location was very busy. We were seated right away. Unfortunately, we did not have a server stop by our table for at least 15 minutes. The location was quite loud, but it was super busy. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the French toast and it is by far some of the tastiest French toast I have ever had. Just delicious. The side order of house potatoes were cold. The sausage and eggs were also good. The other person in my party had a half roast beef and matzo ball soup. They said it was really good. The flavors were just wonderful. The coleslaw was incredible as well. So creamy, fresh, and sweet. Perfection! The coffee was also great. The only thing for losing a star was our server. After taking our order she was not as attentive as I saw others. We searched for her to ask for additional needs. That was the only thing we wished were better. Overall it was delicious food though. I'd go back on occasion as long as the service is better.

Been here a long time and for good reason. Went in for late breakfast. I had the avocado toast served on rye with poached eggs in top. It comes with and excellent salad. The wife had eggs and bacon also excellent.

Very nice brunch spot! Especially for a quick meal. I got the Old Jewish Man because I love lox bagels, and I was not disappointed. I was offered the choice which type of lox I would want, but I got the basic one because I didn't want it too salty. I was very pleased with how much lox I received and overall my meal was very delicious. My mom is always a fan of their garlic and chives cream cheese, and I admit it's quite flavorful and fresh when paired with one of their in-house bagels. Inside is clean but a little cramped in my opinion. This restaurant gets very busy so if you want to come for a weekend brunch meal, come early!

Matzah ball - part of Half Soup Half Sandwich Combo

So yum!!!! It's hard to believe I've never been to Roasters and Toasters in all my years visiting family in Miami. But I'm definitely going back!! You can tell the locals go often - our server knew a bunch by name. It was buzzing at 11;30am and packed by 12:15pm on a weekday. What a menu l!!!! So much to choose from. We settled on the soup and sandwich combo. OMG - the bowl of soup was HUGE. We would have expected a cup but a bowl? Wow! Holy moly. We had the 1/2 chopped liver sandwich and the (ginormous) bowl of split pea soup and the 1/2 pastrami sandwich (sorry, no pic - we ate it quickly!) with matzah ball soup. The pea soup was well seasoned with pepper and rich; the matzah ball soup was a little flimsy and could have used some salt but the matzah ball was nice and fluffy. Our server was terrific (sadly can't remember her name) and gave us great service with a smile. She also took the time to explain how the app works too and patiently answered our questions. I washed down my meal with a Dr. Brown's Cream Soda, the perfect accompaniment to a delicious deli meal. I will be back!!

Wow! Searched for a friendly, good old school breakfast place. Look no more. If you want a fast, delicious, home made treat hit this place. In Miami these places are rapidly disappearing. What a treasure

My husband and I were customers here one time. In the store, I saw almost no price tags for the merchandise. I drank the Immune Tropical Smoothie, which contained orange juice, banana, pineapple, and mango, and I rate its flavor as 5 stars. I also ordered the Ham-Cheese Arepa. An employee told me that it would take 5 minutes to make, but I had to wait significantly longer. My husband and I agreed that this arepa was a low quality. The cheese inside was cold, and the arepa overall did not taste good, so we ate only part of it. I rate it as 2 stars. The eating area outside was small but located near a walkway lined with pretty palm trees. The total price for both foods was $23.

Unfortunately, on several occasions, the avocado has been far from fresh. Instead, it's been completely brown, unappetizing, and not something I wanted to eat. I decided to give it another try, but once again, the avocado was brown. For the price of the avocado toast, I would expect fresh ingredients every time, not just occasionally. That said, the customer service here is always excellent. The staff is friendly, the place is very clean, and ordering by phone is quick and easy. I just wish the quality of the avocado was consistent enough to match the great service.

It's been a while since I've gone to a restaurant and the service and food quality was so amazing that it literally made me stop in my tracks but here we are! I started with a hot mocha latte. For breakfast, I decided to get the mushroom toast and it was amazing! I was skeptical about the ricotta addition but it was spread on the toast like butter, very plentiful and tasty! That along with the other ingredients used made it taste exceptional! Perfect price point too! I was more than satisfied! Last but not least the service by host staff and waiters was top tier. A Slice of Dominican New York... Right Here on Miami Beach…read more I've been coming to Ocean Deli since 2020, and I honestly can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. Maybe because people from New York know one universal rule: when you find a great neighborhood spot, you keep your mouth shut. You don't want your hidden gem becoming the next place where people wait in line because somebody on social media "discovered" it. Ocean Deli is one of the last authentic neighborhood delis left on Miami Beach. In a city filled with luxury hotels, trendy brunch spots, and restaurants charging resort prices for breakfast, Ocean Deli quietly does what it's been doing all along--serving great food, quickly, and at prices that still make sense. This is where the people who actually keep Miami Beach running come to eat. Hotel employees, construction workers, delivery drivers, city workers, first responders, and the locals who somehow managed to survive Miami Beach's rising cost of living. If you want to know where the real locals eat, this is it. The owner is Dominican and from the Bronx, and that New York Dominican bodega culture is written all over this place--in the best possible way. Walk through the door and you'll swear you just landed in Washington Heights or the Bronx. Bachata and merengue are playing in the background. The smell of fresh café con leche fills the room. The grill is always working. Conversations bounce around the deli like you've walked into someone's neighborhood hangout instead of a business. The ladies behind the counter are unmistakably Dominican--friendly, hardworking, efficient, and they keep the line moving without ever losing that neighborhood feel. The sandwiches are outstanding. Fresh bread, generous portions, and made the way sandwiches are supposed to be made. No unnecessary gimmicks. No tiny portions with fancy names. The café con leche deserves its own mention. Strong, smooth, and exactly what coffee should taste like. If you've spent any time in New York's Dominican neighborhoods, you'll recognize it immediately. The Dominican breakfast and lunch plates are equally impressive. Simple, authentic, flavorful comfort food that fills you up instead of emptying your wallet. Speaking of wallets... Ocean Deli might be one of the best values left on Miami Beach. While restaurants a few blocks away are charging you like they flew the eggs in first class, Ocean Deli is quietly serving quality food at prices that remind you Miami Beach wasn't always built just for tourists. Just know what you're walking into......This isn't a sit-down restaurant. You walk in, place your order, take your receipt to the register and pay. Then you wait a few minutes while the grill works its magic. When they call your order, you grab your food and you're on your way. That's how it's done here. Fast, efficient, and without all the unnecessary fanfare. Ocean Deli isn't trying to sell you an "artisan culinary experience." It's selling great sandwiches, authentic Dominican food, excellent café con leche, fair prices, and a little piece of Dominican-York right here on Miami Beach. Some places sell an image....... Ocean Deli sells breakfast and lunch. After six years of coming here, I wouldn't have it any other way. Just do yourself one favor: when you find yourself surrounded by tourists paying resort prices for an average meal, remember there's still one place on Miami Beach where the locals go. Now You Know
