Roasters was always the premiere Deli in our area and is still excellent. But as new owners cut costs, quality and service standards are declining. Examples: Roasters turkey sandwiches used to be made from fresh in- house turkeys. Now they use processed turkey not cooked on premises. Every table used to get a full bowl of fresh sour pickles and a full bowl of fresh delicious coleslaw. No more. Now each individual plate comes with a pickle and a small serving of individual coleslaw. And as of this week they've changed the coleslaw for the first time in years. Not nearly as good as the old coleslaw, too much mayonnaise, too wet and not nearly as tasty. Chef Pedro, the original owner is still on premises and wonderful to talk to. he has always had a magnetism that draws people to this deli. He really makes the place. Surprised to discover they opened another Roasters n Toasters as the main Pinecrest location is constantly swarming with people, especially on Sundays! My boyfriend and I came for brunch and were quickly attended to. This is the old Mitch's Bagels location and it's a nice place. I found the hostess to be all over the place the whole time we were there. There were many tables that could've been cleaned up quicker in order to accommodate those waiting and there were also empty tables that she just didn't seat people at for awhile. Other than that, a great experience! My boyfriend had the french toast with scrambled eggs and sausage and I had their nova bagel. The food took awhile to come out but it was delicious and worth the wait. Im not sure when this place opened but seems like they're still working out the kinks. However, for a Sunday, everybody was moving quick and it was a great brunch for us. We will definitely be returning! read more

Hate to do this because R'nT has been a staple for Pinecrest deli for many, many years and, during a pandemic, one needs to have a bit more patience. That said, when the quarantine began, R'nT did an excellent job, delivering food with its own staff, typically as promised - within 60-65 minutes. However, in the last 3 weeks, they have become overwhelmed, mainly due to adding third-party delivery services that significantly increased orders beyond what their staff can handle. The phone number is always busy, the orders are delivered 90+ minutes from order, food arrives cold, and the order always has something missing. Nobody seems to care. There are other restaurants in town that make good breakfast food that have figured out how to make it work during a quarantine. Hopefully, R'nT will turn it around and figure it out. read more

Food is overpriced. Food wasn't good. Poor selection of bagels and even worse/smaller selection of cream cheeses. Omelette was overcooked. I could make a better omelette at home. Won't go back there. Previous owner was better when it was called Westside Bagels. They had better and more bagel choices. read more

The food never disappoints!! I've gotten a variety of dishes to get a feel of this kitchen's range--boy everything they've made has been incredible! From their jumbo pancakes and jumbo french toast to the Steak Quesadillas and Chicken Parmesan: it was all to die for so, so, so, so good! I've also lived in the Philly area for a few years, and let me tell you their Philly Cheesesteaks are one of the most authentic in South Florida. Chef Pedro personally delivered my food the other day and that in itself shows how much care and love he puts into his cooking as well as the establishment. Absolutely love the original Roasters in dadeland plaza, and wanted to love the newer location in Pinecrest, but I've been let down 3 times. I'm only talking about their egg white omelettes. The rest of their food is exactly like the original. Three times I have been served a very YELLOW and OVER COOKED egg white omelette. Egg white omelettes are supposed to be white and I have specifically asked for them to be fluffy white and to please not over cook too much. Hopefully, after seeing this post, they will teach the chefs how to make a perfect egg white omelette. They need Ivan! read more

I have been a regular customer of Roasters n' Toasters (RT)!since the original restaurant opened approximately 19 years ago. I often meet friends at the R & T on 128 street since it is less crowded and closer to my house. Much to my dismay today I was told that they are no longer putting both pickles and coleslaw on the table in bowls. Instead the servers bring a very tiny dish of coleslaw and a single pickle to the table. I was also advised that there would be a charge for either additional coleslaw or pickles. When I asked my server about this change her answer was that it was a decision of the management. It appears to me that this change is very chintzy and poorly conceived. In fact I will probably no longer eat at this Roasters location as a matter of principle. read more

We LOVE Roasters, but This location (128th) doesn't have the same great deli stuff on the table. There is no more ketchup or mustard on the table. Now you have to flag down your server to bring you ketchup. it makes the eating experience frustrating instead of carefree. Also, they have NO RED ONIONS. How can a really good deli serve white onions on bagel lox and cream cheese??? some of our friends refuse to go there because of this so we go elsewhere with them. read more

This is probably one of my go to on Sundays! I have eaten here many times whether it's breakfast during the weekdays or Sundays when it's usually packed. I love their French toast, it hits the spot all the time. I haven't ever had to wait over 20 mins to receive my food, I have called to do a pick up order and it was ready in 7 minutes. A New York deli in the middle of Pinecrest, Florida? I was transported back to my childhood neighborhood in NYC where the local diner knew everybody's name! The Brooklyn owner, Dan, introduced himself to my husband and I and immediately we felt like old friends. The deli counter was filled with samples for customers to enjoy while they waited for their tables. The restaurant was filled to capacity but no one seemed to mind as Dan walked around to greet his customers which gave the place a homey feel. We ordered Knish, which was made with real potatoes and egg salad which was creamy and filled with boiled eggs. So my wife loves this place since it is the closest to a New Jersey/New York bagels. Well since today is Mother's Day I believe it should be all about my wife. I placed an order online to get her exactly what she wanted and ordered something for myself as well. I got to this location and was not helped for about 5 minutes when I was just there to pick up my order. Only then was I told 40 minutes after I ordered online from home; "sorry we are out of bagels" and this was at 11 in the morning. I don't get upset often but when there is a pure lack of planning and not enough bagels delivered or made for a day where there is going to be high volume. That is when I get upset. Today is about my wife and I let her sleep in I guess that's my mistake for not getting there early enough? Ha! Poor planning. This location has one lady at the front that has her life together and makes the wait and everything else great about this restaurant. Our first time at this location. The servers couldn't figure out who was supposed to take our table so we sat there staring around for 18 minutes before we took matters into our own hands. Mistakes happen but when the bill came we decided we cant justify going there again. $53 for two cheese omelettes, two coffees and an order of fries. My family and I have been going to Roasters and Toasters for at least 10 years and would have breakfast at the falls location at least 3 times per week. Since losing Chef Pedro food quality has really slipped, portion size reduced significantly, prices increased and attention to detail is gone. The new management does not seem to care about anything but the bottom line. It's a shame, because it was a great place to have breakfast. We have not returned in 4 weeks. Shamefull Service and pancakes, we've been eating here often since they opened although our preference is the Dadeland location. This morning, first time experienced "the worst service and pancakes"! We were seated immediately, without utensils and a dirty sticky table, and we asked a busboy to clean our table, he returned twice an cleaned. Then, the waitress came over with more menus and no utensils but returned minutes later and asked for our order. My wife had to get the utensils. We got our water and coffee, coffee in a not so clean cup. The food arrived, pancakes were stiff hard as if left after they were prepared but left to harden. My wife asked the waitress for butter, hoping to soften the pancakes...she never brought the butter, by then all my wife could eat was a quarter of one of the pancakes; that was the 2-2-2 order at 12.95 . My order was the chalah bread French toast, the center of the toast was untoasted and a bit uncooked but did not want to say anything and just left the third toast uneaten, this priced at 10.85 . I had to call the waitress for our check, and told her the pancakes were too hard and that was the reason we asked her for the butter, emphasizing that she did not bring it and she responded with "you mean no one brought you the butter"...all I said was, you will take care of the bill regarding the pancakes and she said she would. She returned with a new bill, reducing $3.15 for the pancakes and I asked that is all? (Pancakes are 7.95 to 8.95) Obviously, this location has poor management and service to its customer's, last time here!! read more

The restaurant had been in deep decline until the owners finally got smart and PUT TINA IN charge what a tremendous change , the food quality and service are back to the levels they need to stay at . Had only ever ordered pickup and this restaurant has always been good that way. Today I decided to dine in and experience the worst service in Miami. My party (of 2), along with many other parties waiting, waited an excessive amount of time in the crowded entrance while there were multiple open tables in the restaurant. Once we were eventually seated, the table was sticky. Our server forgot to enter our order and we did not have our breakfast for another hour. Sunday morning waited almost 30 min for table when many were clearly empty, finally we were seated and the people before us were seated at the same empty tables since we walked in, surprised because the other location does not operate like this. I order from both roasters and Toasters all of the time, and they are usually really good. However, the treatment I got today was horrible. I ordered through Uber eats...a "build your won omelette". The app doesn't let u choose how to build your omelette, so I usually order and call right away to tell them how to make it. Today, the cal was t gig through and, when I finally got through, they told me they had already made it with ham and cheese (not at all what I wanted). The manager, rude as can be, told me sorry we can't make it, you should have called sooner. I explained I had tried, but she responded well we can't do anything, we're too busy. And she actually hung up the phone on me. Why offer a service you can't give? The way she handled the entire thing was unprofessional and tasteless. It will be the last time I ever order from there. R.N.T has been around along time in South Miami-Dade. They first started in the area that use to be called the Suniland area (Now Pinecrest) in the mall on US 1 and SW 112th St. and later moved to their current location. Their food is great and the portions are "Huge". Unless you are starving, you will always have leftovers. They have every type of Deli food there is and then some. If you want great Deli food, this is the place to go. R.N'.T is open for Breakfast and Lunch only. Get there early because, it gets packed or go after 1:30. read more

First time here since Mitch's sold to them. After a short wait for a table it took 15 minutes to have waitress come to table then another 25 minutes for food. People seated after us ate and left before we got food. Once food came it was ok but not worth prices they charged. Prices are cheaper on south beach. 6.25 for a side of bacon. Cmon.
