It seem kinda gimmicky with all the nice bottles until I went an ordered it. It's located in a medical plaza with doctors office and pharmacy. There's decent amount of parking. This location is really small. There's is no seating or tables inside, people just line up and order to go. Even when I was lining up, the space felt cramped and the door way only fits like one person so I had to really lean near the wall to get out of the way for the people exiting. Staff is nice. Drink is so so. I ordered the jasmine sea cream and the cream does not really mix with the drink so it doesn't taste as nice as other places but I guess the bottle makes up for it. It's only less than $5. What's the point of having all those bottles and cannot buy them? I asked if I could purchase the bottle but the waiter only offers the 2 free ones they're giving out. The cute bottles were what sealed the deal for me! I was tempted to buy one, but little did I know they are included with every drink. They currently have bottles with a pretty cherry blossom design. I believe they rotate their bottle designs every so often. LOVE the concept. This location is small. Seating on the inside for waiting and 3 small tables out front. There are tons of cute mugs inside that kept me distracted while I waited for my order. It was disappointing they were out of so many items... Went in wanting an order of the Kool Beanz, but they were out of mung beans. Then I was going to opt for Milky Ice, but they were out of pudding. So I ended up getting their Strawberry Blonde ($4.95) per their recommendation and it tasted alright. I wouldn't order it again. The major + here is that you get two free add-ons for your drinks. Got the boba and chia seeds this time around. There are many others to choose from. Going to check out the other locations since I heard there is more space at those. This place is pretty cute. When you walk in there are a bunch of different cups and accessories with a cute Asian kind of theme, with smiley faces and different cute expressions everywhere. The drinks are about $4-5 and it is mostly tea or coffee or variations there of that are usually common with boba stores. They serve the drinks in a cute container, with a lid and you get to keep it afterwards. Unfortunately, a lot of the positives end there. The drinks themselves were just okay outside of the container. I had the Lots of Lychee with Green Tea (they give you a choice of Green or Herbal) and while the green tea itself was standard of what you would expect at boba places, the lychee flavoring and pieces fell kind of short. It wasn't really anything special, and the lychee and basil seed pieces were actually quite a hassle to get to and eat/drink, I ended up just drinking them all up at the end. There was only seating outside when I went, which was a bummer since it was a bit cold outside that day. Plenty of parking though in the plaza so that was nice. Overall, I would come for the cuteness and novelty, but wouldn't really bother after the first time or so since the drinks were pretty mediocre. read more

Roasting Water reminds me of a pretty chick with no personality. They've got these pretty glass bottles that lure you right in! I have to admit I visited just for one of these. Unfortunately, during my last two visits I realized that this place is just a pretty bottle. I tried the White Peach fruit tea and Sea Salt Jasmine. Each drink was less than $5 with the bottle. The fruit tea tasted watered down, more like infused water, and the flavor of tea was indistinctive. Sea Salt Jasmine was a huge bummer--Jasmine tea and sea salt flavor were undefined. It had a funny hint to it, but it was drinkable. Black Tea - the drink was not to shabby. Strawberry Blonde - blended strawberry and mango with mango and strawberry bits on top. The staff definitely went out of their way to be helpful, they were all very cheerful and happy to be there! My non-asian girlfriend ordered a iced coffee and milk tea both with boba and she loved her drink, I stole a sip and the boba were warm and soft, just heavenly. I ordered the lemonade with jelly, and it had lime, and some other cool fruits in it that make it taste 10 times better. Really like this place! Highly recommend if you are in the area. The decor is cool as they have many different styles of cups and mugs with different pictures. They also play loud music that older people might not dig but for the younger crowd its cool. Service - They had a few employees when I went so the service was quick and professional. Taste & Cost - for about $4.25 to $5 bucks you can get a variety of different teas, smoothies, or other stuff and you get a nice glass cup to take home. Though, $4.50 for paying for the bottle, especially since now it's just their company logo sticker - not worth it! I've been here a good amount of times and my go to drink has to be the Strawberry Kiss! I love the strawberry bits in it I recommend getting it with basil seeds..so gooood! I've had Roasting Water bookmarked for a while now, so when I was in the area last weekend I decided to give it a try. The name "Roasting Water" just sounds interesting in itself. Yeah, go explore the hashtags on IG you can find Roasting Water pictures galore! After all that unintentional advertising how can you not want to try this place out? So, I finally decided to see what all the hype was about. I have recently been burnt by hyped up yelp reviews and my wounds were still fresh, so I was reluctant that this place. Turns out, it was pretty darn delicious and the prices were wallet friendly. I ordered a mango lemonade (with a special request of no basil seeds, ew) and two thai teas. You can get two add-ons for free! That means you can get your pudding, boba and jelly on without having to pay extra. For that reason alone, this place has my vote. Not to mention, the glass bottle they give you is a nice little gimmick. Three drinks cost around $11, not including tip. The only downside was that they run out of things quickly-- around 3pm on a Saturday, they were out of milk tea and lychee jelly! The store is covered in adorable mugs, however you cannot buy any of them. I got the white peach green tea and it's so refreshing and delicious.There's really only a few tables so I don't think it's the best hangout spot but they'll get your order in and out pretty quickly. The store itself is tiny so I also wouldn't recommend coming with a big group. The decor is cute and is basically made for Instagram. Definitely a fan. Not gonna lie and say I'm a milk tea connoisseur, but I know what milk tea is supposed to taste like. Also, as long as the boba is soft and chewy and doesn't have the texture of "plastic," we're good. If the boba has a has a hint of honey - even better! What got me on this place was the bottles the drinks are served in. At first, the bottles had a generic looking logo, but now they have a design that isn't too corporate branded. As far as the size of the overall drink? I'm not sure, but for the price, it's not a deal breaker. The inside of the place is a bit cramped with limited seating and all kinds of stuff you can purchase hanging on the walls. I am not sure if people actually buy the mugs hanging on the wall, but it does add a little character to the place. My fave was a drink called Castaways. The milk tea was a bit watered down. The strawberry smoothie with chunks of strawberries was on point. So, 2 out of 3 on this trip. Not bad at all. It's a small spot and can easily be missed. SO GOOD. Please have one up in Norcal :) It is located in a small plaza with limited parking. It can be hard to spot, too because the place is small and their sign isn't very eye catching. Upon entering, there aren't too many tables nor is there a great waiting area. I imagine on the busier days, the line would go out the door and the front would get packed. We went on a Saturday at like 12pm and to my surprise no line. The decor inside is very homely-like. There are many cute cups everywhere. Not sure if they were for sale or not, but I was tempted to buy one if possible. However, they do sell tea bags. Menu was simple; Smoothies, Milk Tea/Tea, Coffee and other miscellaneous drinks. I usually order Earl Grey Milk Tea w/ boba as my standard drink for every first time boba shop, but they didn't have it :( So I settled for the Oolong Milk Tea w/ boba. My hunnybun orders their house special Roasting Water Coffee. Our drinks came in a glass bottle with their logo and a nice fake nutrition label. It was definitely really cute and a clever way of marketing (a huge hit on Instagram). **They make good use of a flower vase, lol. My milk tea was great and the boba was chewy all around. There was a great balance of tea, milk and sweetness. Downfall, they added too much ice because as I got down to about 1/4th the way, it was severely watered down that it just tasted like water at that point. Very very small (it literally seats about 8 people) and extremely cramped but extremely cute little coffee and boba shop. I came here a while back, before they started becoming extremely popular and busy, and I loved their drinks! When I found out they were now selling their drinks in these cute glass bottles, I had to come back. Coming back, the wait was extremely long! I stood in line for about 30 minutes, then waited another 10 minutes for them to have my drinks ready. They have a variety of teas and coffees, all of which you can add boba too, or whichever toppings you prefer. I love how they don't charge you extra for adding toppings in your drinks. While all the drinks sound amazing, the RW Coffee and fruit teas are definitely the way to go. All the drinks are reasonably priced, especially considering you are getting them in a nice glass bottle, and not some throw away plastic cup. I've been told that sometimes the line here gets pretty long, but luckily there was no line at 3 pm on a Tuesday (which is maybe a good time to go). What I liked about Roasting Water is that they had two types of smoothies: one with milk and one without it, that is great for people that are lactose intolerant. I ordered the E-Guava Chill, which was a ice blended Guava drink topped with strawberry bits. It was refreshing and I think getting a cute bottle to bring home made the drink that much better ;).
