They push you to put a down payment on the car and decide on a monthly payment. If you're already pre approved there is no need for a down payment and deciding on a monthly payment. You give the dealership a check from the credit union OR have the dealership send a purchase order to your credit union. They also add on a 1900 MAINTENANCE FEE to every used car even if a yr old and will not take that fee off. I researched it and I was told that this fee is negotiable but they refused. So I got pulled over and the police told me the management at Robbin's Nissan specifically requests that they run speed enforcement at that location because the manager at this dealership is worried someone will crash into their new cars. So anyway coming off the freeway at 65 it drops to 50 on the feeder, got a ticket for 65 in a 50 about $230. Before writing this review, I looked at some of the other unfavorable reviews and it seems this place continues to have issues with customer service. My mom, who is 75yrs bought her car from Robbins Nissan. She was referred by my cousin, who also has made a few purchases from the dealership. My mom has gone back for maintenance service since her purchase. On December 6th, when she went in for a routine oil change, she noticed that the time it was taking to have the oil change was much longer than usual only to learn that her car had been placed on the diagnostic machine (not at her request) and she was met with a Robbins representative who tried to sell her new tires. My mom was very adamant about just getting her normal routine oil change. This representative named Joe tried so hard to convince her to purchase new tires to a degree of harassment. The level of service was more sales and not service. My mom finally told him that she had to speak with her son, my brother about it in hopes that he would back off and he continued to persist, he even told her to have my brother call him. This is the second time my mother has been disappointed in the service at Robbins and this time she felt targeted because she was an older African American woman, and he was attempting to take advantage of her to get a sale. I understand that salesmen are just that "salesmen", but to harass a loyal customer to the degree that she doesn't want to bring her car back to Robbins for service is not a good look for the dealership. My Husband & I purchased a 2020 Nissan Armada Nov. 2022. My first oil change was March 1, 2023. Obviously a multipoint inspection was not performed or was rushed, because I was not told that my tires were bad. The inspection report showed "all green" however on March 24, 2023 I was on the side of the road with a busted tire "thread showing" and found out that my tires were bad, and that I need a alignment. After roadside assistance, I called Robbins Nissan and expressed to them that whoever inspected my car, did not report that my tires were bad, and I was not notified that I need an alignment. The manger (Keith) and his employee (Dan) "claims" that they do not check for alignments, but that does not alleviate that fact that a proper multipoint inspection was not performed, matter a fact my inspection report is false. On March 25, 2023 I took my vehicle to the service department, again expressing the negligence of the service team, so Dan & Keith come out at looks at the vehicle, and confirms that I need all new tires an alignment. I was able to get 4 new tires and the alignment for a reasonable price. Although Sunbit payment option. The Sunbit was not explained well, and I ended up paying more than Keith quoted me. The employee need more training on explaining the Sunbit payment option, however I let that issue go. But here is were the problem starts: (1) I was told my left rear was bent, and that they need a day take apart and "correct" the alignment. So I made an appointment. (2) On April 10, 2023 I brought my car back so Robbins so they can "correct" the alignment, I then received a phone call midday saying my control arm is bent, and because its psychical damage its not covered under my extended warranty. (What Psychical Damage!) I retrieved my car, and every since April 10, 2023, My car is driving WROST now and is very LOUD when turning. (3) I called my warranty program, and expressed to them of what happened, and I was told that The service department does not make the decision if the warranty program will cover a repairs, the warranty department does, and that the Service department is suppose to call it in for approval not the customer (Me). (4) My problem what is the psychical damage, I have not hit or run over anything! Robbins Nissan didn't even consider calling in my repair inquiry to the Warranty Department in which I paid for! It's obvious that I was ripped off, and that they want me to pay out of pocket and not have my warranty cover this repair. I have already contact consumer affairs, I believe that a overall inspection of this vehicle wasn't properly done before the selling of this car. I understand its a used vehicle, but no one should be putting over $2K on a vehicle that only had about 34K in miles. After doing a diagnosis, they called Nissan corporate and described the problem and Nissan said said it would be covered by the warranty and take it in to a dealer. I took it to Robbins Nissan and got a call several house later saying that it would Not be covered by warranty because my tail light was cracked. Again, honest to God... they told me that my busted tail light caused the mother board on the computer to fail and it would cost me over $11,000. Let me clarify... 1. I have a slightly cracked tail light that was taped and sealed. 2. I am still under warranty. 3. I was told it would be covered. 4. They told me it would be over $11,000, it was not covered by a warranty, and I also had to pay $320 for a service fee. 5. BUYER BEWARE! Found a car I was interested in on the robbins Nissan website. It listed a "robbins price" which prompted me to go to the dealership for a test drive. Liked the car and sat down to buy the car only to find out that the "robbins price" is a lie designed to lure you to their car lot. A salesman dressed in a light blue suit with lots of gold jewelry brought me an offer to sell the car with $2,000 of additions to the "robbins price." The $900 destination charge was not included in the "robbins price." Most transparent dealers include a link to the window sticker which shows the destination charge included in the msrp. This dealer hides this from you so they can add it to their "robbins price" when you arrive to test drive the car. They also added a $900 maintenance fee. This is for regularly scheduled work like oil changes and the work has to be done at their location which is impossible for me because I don't live anywhere close to Humble. Another addition was a $200 roadside assistance fee which I don't need. These fees were not negotiable and their final offer was over $3,000 more than the big fat lie "robbins price" plus tax, title, license and other dealer add ons which I did not even take the time to read. Never buy a car from robbins Nissan and always do lots of research to find the invoice price and any manufacturer incentives available. Know what you will pay before you test drive a car and be willing to walk out if they do not accept your offer.You may have to call the salesperson's bluff before you uncover the best price. When I spoke to Kim at the dealership (which by the way is no where near the actual dealership) I was told that the car was sold, but they had a never model for some way over priced amount. That was outside my budget, so I told them no thanks. About 10 minutes later, Kim called me back and told me that the car was not sold and set a time for me to come in and look at it. The dealership is 50 miles from my home, so on the way there I texted her to make sure the car was still there, and she lied and said it was. I was trying to buy a Lexus IS350C with a certain color combination, and this lot just happened to have one. I live in California, but I didn't want to fly into Texas to buy the car and drive it back. I was very nervous & apprehensive about buying a car sight unseen. My experience could've started off better. I was interested in this car and several other cars at various lots across the country. They dropped the price of this car from 23k to 21k, and that was the push I needed to start the negotiations. Once I was alerted about the price drop, I emailed the sales rep who had been contacting me to ask what the total price out the door was. I knew I wouldn't have to pay tax until I brought the car to California. The sales rep emailed me back with a quote of 23k+. I was confused because the price had literally just been dropped to 21k the day before. I wrote an e-mail back asking for an itemized price sheet and my email went unanswered. At this point, I was about to lose interest in this car and start pursuing other deals. I decided to place one more call to the dealership to get some clarity on the price. I spoke to Edwin, he listened to my concern, and the following day I was contacted by a salesman, Brandon R. It was annoying being bounced around, but in hindsight, I'm happy they assigned Brandon as my salesman. I don't need to be "sold" on a car. I know what I want, and I was willing to pay the asking price after the price drop. What I needed was an honest salesman who would not bullshit me about the condition of the car just to make a sale. I understand that a used car will not be perfect, but I do not want to give them 21k cash and then find out later they were hiding defects from me. Brandon was very reassuring, and he sent me pictures of tiny defects like a scratch on the leather seats, minor instance of curb rash on one of the wheels, etc. I REALLY appreciated him doing this. This proved to me that he was honest. I have hired over 500 salesmen in my life, what the bad salesmen fail to understand is that honesty is the best policy. If the buyer feels like they can trust you, they are more willing to accept minor defects on a car or whatever it is you're selling. Throughout the process, Brandon was there when I needed something answered. It rarely took him more than an hour to get back to me, even on his off days. I had his cell # and was able to text/call him anytime I had a question. He did not write me off, he genuinely wanted to make the sale, and do it the right way, so I had no reservations buying from him. When my car came in, it was in really good condition, and I was happy with my buying decision. I am going to send Brandon a thank you gift for doing such a great job. I had the service department replace the clutch on my Nissan Versa recently. My service rep was Dan. I caught covid and had to be hospitalized while they had my car. Being out of work forced me to use the money I had set aside for the repair for rent / bills. Dan was very understanding and held onto the car for nearly 3 months while I recovered, got back to work, and saved the money to pay for the repair (again).
