When I arrived, staff confirmed my Cigna insurance had been verified and my visit was covered. I paid a copay and thought nothing of it. Weeks later I received an Explanation of Benefits showing I owe $1,017 out of pocket for a Cone Beam CT Scan, multiple Oral/Facial Imaging procedures, and Saliva Testing. None of these were explained to me before, during, or after my appointment. No treatment plan was shown to me. No cost estimate was provided. I was never told any of this was being done. My insurance denied all of it. Cigna flagged the saliva test as "not a dental service" and the CT scan as simply not covered neither of which are standard for a new patient checkup. I am now formally disputing these charges with the practice, Smile Generation corporate, and the Georgia Board of Dentistry. I would caution anyone especially new patients to ask for a written cost estimate and treatment plan BEFORE allowing any procedures to be performed here.

Coast dental associates never answer the phone. One's calls are always routed to an answering service. Every single day except for Mondays because they re closed, I have tried to reach out to the answer machine just states that they are experiencing a high volume of calls. Bullcrap!!!! They never answer. You can't leave a message for them. After answering service leaves them a message, they were called back from a number that does not come up coast.Therefore, customers and clients don't answer phones due to the spam calls that we are receiving these days. Whoever calls you back does not leave a message where o you can respond to them. My insurance company told me that I should only have paid $153.00 for services. Me and my insurance company have filed a grievance against this company.For overcharging , patients and not applying the proper insurance that is being paid through our insurance companies. Coast down told me my insurance only $249 and I was left to pay the balance. That is definitely untrue. So be very careful before you have done a work.Done at this place because 9 times out of 10, they are going to overcharge you for services.
