I came here with my best friend the last week. I have to say the interior of the place was nice but the service was whatever. I mean I dont expect these people to fully communicate with me throughout the service especially because of the language barrier, but it was sorta awkward. It also was very packed and a little crammed. Glad I brought cash or I would've been screwed, plus, the atm inside the place was out of cash (Another woman had this problem). So, I got acrylic nails because I have a sensitive ankle injury and didn't want to risk the pain. They were done wonderfully, and she didnt rush. She asked me if I wanted this gel over the nails to make them last longer for an extra charge, so I said sure. However a week later and my nails arent lasting any more than they would if I didnt get the gel. So I got jipped 5 bucks there. Thats probably what bugged me most. read more

Robert and Lisa Nails used to be my favorite nail salon in Lodi. When they were on California Street their service was amazing. My favorite people used to be Robert and Lisa for nails, and Linda for pedicures. Then they moved to Lodi Ave, I moved to Sacramento and I recently went back when I was in town and wow was I disappointed. Lisa was very rude, and the new staff was rude as well. They ASKED for a tip after doing a bad job on a manicure. I will sadly never go back to my old favorite nail salon. I've been coming here for a while now..I always make an appointment with Lisa, but everyone here is great. Robert and Lisa make everyone feel comfortable and welcome.They may be a bit more pricy here than other places, but I think it's worth it for the quality they provide. Lisa works wonders with a paint brush! She is so creative and always makes sure you leave with something you like. Sure they try to get you to buy more then what you intended to, but come on, it's a business this is how they make their money.. Went in yesterday to have a manicure, and to my pleasant surprise Lisa is no longer there. I was seated and helped immediately, nails turned out wonderful ( as usual ), and the polish looks amazing. The atmosphere was light and lots of joking around and happy overall, a definite change from the previous months!!!! Robert is running a special , didn't quite catch the details but it's half off of waxing, not sure what service you need to have done to get that but it's worth looking into. Kind of all over the place on this post, My apologies, but on an ending note I'd like to say that I've been having my manicures/pedicures/waxing done by Robert for years and have always been happy. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of drama in the past few years between him and his ex wife Lisa, which caused the atmosphere to be tense, and there was even a bit of bickering that went on. Bring cash or you'll be forced to use the on-site ATM which charge you $1.00 fee. I visited for the first time a few days ago. When I walked in I asked for a mani/pedi. Typical reponse, "pick your color" and then I was escorted to my chair. I was given a menu of mani/pedi options. The pricing ranges from $12-$25 for a mani and $20-$35 for a pedi. The increased price really just meant more massage time of hands and feet, an additional scrub and parafin wax treatment. I chose the "deluxe" pedi and the middle of the road mani. Halfway through my treatment I realized that I was getting the "deluxe" version of each... which also meant I was paying for the deluxe version of each. It ended up costing me $60 for a mani/pedi plus two tips (one for the girl who did my mani, one of the girl who did my pedi). My advise, make it very clear as to which menu choice you want! The facility is nice and clean. There are not a ton of choices of dark polish colors. The staff was nice and continually checked with me throughout the appointment to make sure that I was comfortable. Note: you can adjust your chair forwards and backwards, incline and recline. You don't have to sit upright (like I did) the entire time. Utilize the massage control, your experience will be much better. Will I go back? Yes! I'll just communicate my choice of services better next time. read more

Called before going to make appointment for pedicure and manicure. I specifically asked if they had time to do it now or if we should make an appointment to come in later, and was assured that they had time to do it now. We got there and waited 35 minutes. When I mentioned it to the owner that I would've preferred to come later, She blamed the people ahead of us and the girl who made the appointment. I explained it really didn't make a difference, if she told us when we got there, we could've done something in the half an hour that we waited. Will not ever go here again!! Gave it 3 tries...and each time was a horrible experience! They only take cash...and they own the ATM...and Lisa & Robert charge $1 to use it!! My mom. Daughter (8) and myself all planned a wonderful pedicure for the 3 of us today...based on our previous experience here, my mom made sure to specify that we wanted to all begin our pedicures at the same time (when she made the reservation. Of course, they did not have our 3 chairs open till 20 minutes after our appointment time! Then, they scolded my mom's feet! The lady forgot to turn on the cold water and only filled the "tub" with Hot!! My daughter came to specifically get the crackle polish, which they wanted to charge $5 more for - even though their menu specifies "pedicure w/ design. Robert, told them to go ahead and do the crackle at the regular price in leu of the "design"...then somehow...they were completely out of crackly polish!! When I questioned them, all of a sudden they had it!! They painted my daughter's toes...and the crackle didn't work...so they started to do them again...(1 1/2 hours later) and my daughter said, "mommy, we can just do the crackle at home". We had a movie to catch!! Ugh!! They did take $5 off my daughter's pedi, but they made up for it...by asking me if I wanted my color (that I picked) only put on the tips of my toe nails...forgetting to mention that would be an extra $5!!! Then, when we left...my daughter tells me that the water was very hot!!! Ugh!!! Okay so the one star is for the speed! They got me in quick. Robert immediately sat my down ask what shape and started doing my nails never showed me polish's or let me pick a color. I could tell he was rushing which is no big deal if they look good and am getting what I want. I asked for gel powder on the phone when I made my appointment. When I sat down and he started doing my nails I asked if I could get clear tips and gel powder and he said they have no clear tips or gel powder even though they have a giant sticker on the window that says gel power in different colors! Anyways he finished my acrylics and I told him that I love the shape but I'm not sure if I want clear coat or pink and he instantly replied "well you need to make up your mind!" At this point a couple girls had walked in so at this point he is really rushing! He grabs polish that is already on his station and applied it to my pinky I told him that I didn't want that I want something a little darker. I could see the frustration on his face through his mask. He took the color off and set a book in front of me and said pick color. I said I was having trouble between two colors as I showed him he said "No only one" I just wanted an opinion! So I end up just picking one out of pressure as he applied it to only two nails I stopped him and said " I don't like it I'm sorry I'm being a pain in the butt I haven't gotten my nails done in a really long time and he said "just pick one after under light no going back!" Ultimately I ended up going with the first color so I could get the heck out of there!! I hate my nails so much for leaving happy. I went to Robert and Lisa Nails today to pick up a gift card for someone and thought I would give them a try since my regular nail place was too busy and I wanted a set done today before work. I was greeted by Robert and I just said I wanted a fresh glitter acrylic set with gel, one of the girls came up to me and said "pick your color" rudely. I asked how much and they wanted $35 for them, that's almost $10 more than I pay normally. (I do understand $35 is the norm most places.) They didn't have any color I liked so the girl suggested that I do clear acrylic with Shellac over it. Only $2 more, no big deal to get the color I want. She tossed the Shellac colors on her table and then impatiently waited while I chose one I liked. She then noticed the nails I have on now and told me it would be another $6 dollars for her to remove them; my regular place does that for free. So I chose a color I liked and asked how much for a glitter line, another $3. At this point I'm looking at paying $46 for a set of nails, twice as much as I normally pay. I told her never mind and went to get the gift card, that wasn't a good idea, she was so rude about it. Robert got me my card and asked why I changed my mind. I told him they would have been twice what I normally pay, and he didn't respond; didn't even say have a nice day. I sure as hell wasn't going to pay so much and have such terrible service! They took me as a walk-in even tho they were busy. When I walked in I was immediately greeted because I've had times when I walk into a salon and stand there awkwardly without being acknowledged. The pedicure chairs are so comfortable! I had cammy as my nail tech and she was nice, did a gray job and sold me on a jelly pedicure and so worth it! Truly great experience! Acrylic white tip is what I got done. Bad shaping, chunky and not feminine. Within 2 days they were coming up at the corners. Won't go back
