I'm a 'newbie' and Kevin assisted me with finding a spot and getting set up. At the time, there were no other RV parks that had openings in the RDU area. They didn't even call me back, just emails. Springhill is a wonderful wooded spot to live in or stay in temporarily.

Don't ask for Help! They're Camp Fun Murderers! * Refusal to…read moreProvide Services * Misrepresenting the Availability of Housing * Refusing Rental * Retaliation We faced retaliation and discrimination when asking for minor help via email and they're not ethical. If we could give negative stars for the service provided, we would, because one star glorifies this experience. When we enlisted another couple to "shop" them who are from North Carolina, they magically had availability for seasonal RV stays after stating they had no openings to allow us to move. Liar, liar pants on fire. Due to asking for minor assistance for grading and a light replacement and/or relocating to the one of 26 dry and graded sites, they retaliated by enacting some vague clause in their rental agreement they can terminate our agreement for "any and/or no reason" for short terms stay renters. Upon their 2nd rebuttal to the DOJ, Wanda from management said she wasn't made aware of my injury until the 2nd email. Wanda lied to the DOJ saying I was yelling but when you're in adrenal crisis, it's really impossible to move or talk very well because of the seriousness of the medical emergency. We asked for simple help and they retaliated by forcing us to leave after paying rent. They don't allow refunds. You're just stuck. After correspondence back and forth with Wanda, Wanda she said if you don't like it, "You can just leave." They'll just keep our money. After 14 hours in the ER, I was injured during the flooding slipping in the clay/ mud in my hunting boots here, which is filled with residual algae and stagnant water that smells awful to be so specific - it smells like swamp during heavy rains. I have an adrenal deficiency disorder telling them I'm on disability with my police dept and at any time could go into an adrenal crisis resulting in death within minutes. We are not allowed to extend our carpet beyond the rocks, so the clay/ mud is slimy and transfers onto the outdoor carpet, steps and inside of RV. After paying the rent, I emailed the photos of the flooding from multiple floods and days and asked very kindly for help. "JJ" with maintenance arrived and pounded on the RV door super angry yelled, "We will NOT be moving you!" I could hardly find the energy to talk because of adrenal crisis and told him I was in bed all day sick and to talk to my husband after front loading Kelly that I can't meet with maintenance because I was bedridden since returning from the beach. He continues to yell at me through the windows. I needed an ambulance in adrenal crisis. Then my husband received a confrontational email from management Wanda indicating upon her husband's, JJ's, inspection, the smell was from our sewer lines on the opposite side of the flooding on the ground and full but JJ lied because they had just been hooked up and empty upon returning from the beach during a torrential downpour. We emptied our tanks at that RV beach site. He never crawled under the slide out to pick up the empty hose to check it because I have two surveillance cameras on our RV. No phantom smell can emit from an empty hose plus they're Rhino brand. Anyways, you empty black water 1st then gray water so no sewage sits in the lines. JJ is no investigator, he's maintenance. We close off the lines when not in use. Stay in your lane, bro. As of 11/4/25, JJ was grading site 613 then smugly waved while our site is under water knowing I'm injured and refusing to help a disabled 1st responder trying to goad us into an argument - doesn't work because I deal with his kind on high priority police calls. Kelly had 3 instances of confrontations and poor customer service. The 1st notable when we were arriving from out-of-state, saying we must be here by 4 pm or don't come at all and it was in our welcome email after driving 14 hrs. They take pride in their social hours so the elbow disease seemingly runs strong in this "family" group of Hills Have Eyes angry folks. Good luck.

The maintenance guy seems to be friendly and easy going. The sites are great sized for our big rig and well spaced apart. We haven't stayed during months when the pools(there are 2!are open, so I can't speak on those, but the playground is well enjoyed by little ones. The dog park is well kept, not the largest, but enough to get the K9 wiggles out. The bathroom/Showers are clean and warm. The small town has many amenities, within a 5 minute drive you will find a country store, a pharmacy, Dollar General, and an IGA grocery store. Within 10 minutes there is a Premium Outlets, which has almost every name brand you can think of. I passed 4 other RV "Resorts" driving around and this place is by far the nicest. I did recommend to friend who will be staying for a longer period of time and will continue to recommend to fellow travelers. For being right off 95, this is a great stop.

You'll find restaurants, bars, etc. dollar general is 10 minutes away from the campground. The Atmosphere The standout feature here is the seclusion. This isn't one of those roadside parks where you hear highway traffic all night. It is truly tucked away from the nearest town, making it a fantastic spot for stargazing and feeling like you've actually escaped the grind. The Management The owners are definitely the "hands-off" type. They mostly kept to themselves, which works well if you're an experienced camper who prefers autonomy. Don't expect a guided tour it's pretty self explanatory or a nightly social hour hosted by the staff--they stay in the background and let the scenery do the talking. While it might feel a bit hands-off for some, I found it refreshing to just be left to my own devices. Our experience was nice we worked in Greensboro and that was about 30 minutes away. Super peaceful and very quiet. Everyone keeps to themselves. Beautiful place. We also were allowed to receive packages just no personal mail we didn't mind at all. The down side for us is when we had that winter storm and the campground pipes were frozen but we didn't know that till 2 days later. They didn't contact anyone or give anyone heads up about the storm. We dont watch the news much but a text would've helped a lot. We worked 10 plus hours 5-6 days a week so we didn't know how bad it was going to get. Anyways The whole time we thought it was ours but our 5th wheel is all seasons. They fixed the problem fast. Also they do come around and pick up trash. . No on site laundry. Full hook ups. Also water pressure is low so it's not your camper. We paid $975 cash but if you don't pay cash they charged the card $1000. If I worked in the area again I most likely would come back because I wasn't bothered by anything expect the communication during the winter storm BUT Definitely a beautiful place!
