I'm not sure if this place is going out of business, therefor going down hill, or what. Not only have they gotten rid of their self-serve soda machine (now canned beverages) as well as Horchata, Orange Bang, Etc. machine, but their front staff is extremely rude. Erika not only dropped my credit card when attempting to hand it back, with no apology, but was very snappy when asked about their change in beverage choices. She also was quick to rush me away from her after my purchase so she could report to her phone that was going off- in which she continued to play videos on, loud enough for everyone else in the dining area to hear. I was very thankful despite the rude customer service and it was not even close to closing time, so I was a bit confused why I had such a bad experience. Unassuming chain taco shop off of Camino Real. Easy to miss, but serves some inexpensive, filling Mexican food. I stick with the combo plates, with some type of combinations of Enchiladas and Chile Rellenos. read more

In the grand scheme of things, taco shop is hard to f*ck up. Is it the best I've ever had?!!! No:( but still good. I had the taquitos with sour cream and guacamole. It like the way the guac tasted. I have dropped by this Robertos at least once a week. Usually on a Tuesday when they knock a buck off the cost of whatever you order. I always get their burritos. I have tried pretty much every one they offer. The best being the Carnitas and Fish variety. Fresh everything and the various toppings they place in the burrito is delicious as well. Fresh salsa either green or red is not overwhelming. Fast and friendly service. Prices are very good as well. This place beats the hell out of Crap-otle which is about 50 feet away. We moved to this area about 3 years ago. We love Mexican food and have tried lots of places but keep going back to Roberto's. Best beans, best tacos, my son loves the carne aside. I wish they hadn't removed the beverage bar but the food is great. When my husband and I go out of town he first place we hit when we come home is Roberto's. read more

So went in to get a burrito on my lunch, noticed fist the expensive new computer system. (that explains why all the prices have gone up on the menu!) i ordered a fish burrito and when i recieved it... it was a cabbage burrito with one small burnt piece of fish in the middle. no flavor. no cram sauce that goes on there, nothing. it was horrible. i honestly would rather go down the street an extra 2 blocks for about the same price at cotixan i guess lesson learned dont get a fish burrito from them, EVER. read more

Like other reviews this is an average place. Me and a friend got the grilled burrito. I'd say the burrito lacked flavor, which is pretty atypical of a Mexican food stop. No smiles, no friendly hello just NEXT. It's not a bad place to stop if your just looking to get fairly quick food at a very reasonable price. I have been going to this place for 25 years, it's hit and miss. Some times you get fresh carni some times it's all dried out. The super tostada is probably the most reliable item on the menu it's always good. I wish they would make the carni fresh instead of in batches and then let it sit there. read more

Roberto's has the best chicken tacos. Hands down. Good salsa too. The other food there is good too, just not as good as their tacos. In my opinion. Place is clean. Just left Mexico viejo and had to toss my pollo burrito in the trash( made with mostly sour cream, no avocado. Came to Roberto's. They know how to make a great pollo asado burrito! Hi, my name is Cristyn and I'm a bean & cheese-aholic. I'm not quite sure what "very Mexican food" means, but I love Roberto's. Yes, I only get the b&cs here, but I've tried every Mexican place within a 5 mile radius and I like Roberto's the best. The b&c is the perfect size where I can eat the whole thing without bringing out a fork and knife and it's not dripping with oil from the cheese. The food comes out suspiciously fast though... I paid ($2.60+ tax), sent out a text message, and then my order was ready as I was putting away my phone! Good thing they don't have a drive-thru, or I might be eating here every day! My fatty butt still goes here twice a week though... I think I was convinced that it might be healthier for a little while since the sticker on the burrito used to say "Lite." I think they meant "vegetarian," but they got rid of those stickers... Even though Roberto's is confused by the meaning of certain words, they still make yummy fast food! read more
