The mix of yellow and red beets with the citrus vinaigrette was light, bright, and balanced beautifully with the creamy ricotta. Even though the place was busy, the service was great. Our server was attentive and consistently checked in to make sure everything was going well. Having had Margarita pizza in Naples & Rome, this is radically different than the item made where it was invented. Disappointing but not unexpected. However, it was what happened later that resulted in this low rating. I authorized the purchase via my iPhone and had the amount I authorized verbally verified. However, they later added a 17% tip which I did not authorize. The amount is small, but the dishonesty is truly irritating. We'll certainly never deal with them again. If you do, make sure to get a written receipt, which they do not seem to offer by default. EDIT: After my posting here, the company to their credit has issued a refund. More importantly, however, they've changed their policies to avoid this kind of thing happening in the future. That is appreciated and will definitely earn them another shot. Thank you!

Crunchy, the perfect chewiness, the dough is made dense enough to hold up to the wet and heavy topping. Perfectly constructed Grandma pie . I had a nice conversation with the owner. Very cool guy. I will be going back to try all the other pies (and there are many). You can probably eat there every day and not have the same thing for a month. My next selection will be one of the Detroit style pies. They looked delicious. Finally, a great pizzeria in Westchester. We've been deprived of a top quality version of this popular "American" staple for far too long. I used to order food from Roberto's all the time, but about a week ago, my mom had ordered and paid for delivery for my 13 year old niece, when the driver came to our house, he handed my niece the food, she said thank you and proceeded to close the door WHEN THE GROWN MAN DECIDED TO FORCE THE DOOR BACK OPEN AND DEMAND A TIP FROM A THIRTEEN YEAR OLD GIRL bc "he works hard all day and is 'supposed' to get a tip." My niece had to search everywhere for just $2 to give this GROWN. MAN. are you kidding me?? First of all, my house is just around the corner so it's not like he was going far, and tip is not mandatory! You DO NOT FORCE THE DOOR BACK OPEN AND DEMAND MONEY FROM A CHILD. And when my mother called back, the manager (or whoever it was that answered the phone) said "well he has a point. He works hard and deserves tips". You deserve to be arrested for harassing a THIRTEEN YEAR OLD CHILD FOR TWO FREAKING DOLLARS. Sucks bc my family and friends have been ordering from you guys for years. Along with the one plain slice I just had to have, I tried the pepperoni roll and the chicken bacon ranch roll - everything was good and I recommend the chicken bacon ranch roll for all those who like that type of pizza. Located on Tuckahoe road, it shares the space with a few other businesses - namely Cafe Billiards. Parking lot is decent, but it's probably best to park along one of the sides as the front can sometimes get congested. 'Famous' is absolutely correct. Easily one of the best pizzerias around and one with history. Recommended for all.
