It was crunchy crispy yummy all the great flavors of sauce and cheese , small little spot in new Rochelle is worth a try . The locals were coming in and out the whole time I was there eating my slice. I just wish there was those paper cups soda, fountain machines like the old days. I've been going to this place for over 20 years when they were across from Iona college and now on Huguenot street and I can tell you the food, the quality, the service is always amazing!!! We order at least once a week, my favorites are the Cajun chicken pizza, penne Gorgonzola with grilled chicken and mushrooms, the house salad with that delicious balsamic dressing but you really can't go wrong with anything there. I have to say that I've been coming here several times since my review from May 2015. Each and every time I have come here for pizza, it has been consistently great taste-wise. It may not seem like a big deal, but it is as some places (pizza or otherwise) have difficultly making anything consistent taste-wise/quality-wise every time. There are those who'll claim there is no such thing as a bad pizza or that all pizza taste the same - those people are clueless. I've had plenty of bad pizza and they all most certainly don't taste the same. Yeah, some people either don't know any better or just have weird taste buds. I've had pizza in quite a lot of places (cities, states) and coming here after some of the other places I've been to even more recently has made me appreciate it here even more. The service has also improved or maybe it's just me. So yeah, the parking isn't the best. If you come after 7pm, you can usually find a spot near the front (or across the street) and probably don't have to pay the meter. You can also park on a side street if need be. I used to love the Sicilian slices from this place so much that I started ordering it by the pie. But the two times I ordered it, it arrived with burnt cheese. The first time I let them slide because my family and I were so hungry we ate it anyway. But the cheese was so burnt it was like having just thick bread and sauce. The second time I ordered it I specifically told them to please do not burn the cheese. Did they listen? No! I attached a pic. I'm not mad at it! This is great pizza! I'm a simple man. I like the crust thin, the cheese oozing, the sauce full of flavor and substance, and the crust perfectly balanced between crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. When I order a pizza, this is what I'm expecting to arrive. This is my pizza fantasy. Like staring down the aisle when those doors swing wide open and you see your Bride for the first time, when I open that pizza box I want to be overcome with the beauty and lost in that moment. Now, I experienced this when my two Fratelli's pizzas arrived. My two co-workers and I wafted in the steam coming off those pies and barely got off the picture I'm attaching to this review before we mercilessly devoured them. But don't let me deceive you. There's more to this story. TRUTH TIME: We were starving, lost in the abyss, overworked, underpaid, and we needed pizza. We were 3 men and 1 pie would not do. We got 2, but we damn near ordered 3 just to be safe. The nice lady on the other side of the phone at Fratelli's told us the pizza would arrive to our building (which is truthfully less than a half-mile from the pizza place) in 40 minutes. So we started watching......waiting.......commis-erating.........SAY IT 'AINT SO!! WHERE IS THE PIZZA?? Unfortunately, our pizza from down the street did not arrive until nearly 80 minutes after we ordered it. Of course we were ravenous at this point; barely even human anymore, struggling to retain consciousness! Anything would have been delicious at this point! We were knocking on death's door when the pizza guy answered instead, and praise the Lord for it! Suffice it to say, our experience may have been biased by how incredibly hungry we were and tainted with the dramatic suspense of our pizza quest. Full disclosure. That said, this pizza is very good. It's not the greatest pizza I've ever had, don't get it twisted, but it is great and worthy of your money. I'm not even dropping stars for the extraordinary wait time because the end justified the means and the delivery guy was some old dude who was so nice I couldn't be mad. I'll be back! These guys are great. In comparison to common take-out slice pizzerias that dot almost every street corner in westchester this place seems pretty superior to the ones I frequently go to. The crust is perfectly thin, yet still substantial enough to give a taste of the delicious dough these guys make. Of all the slices I tried the broccoli rabe and sausage was the winner- though all of them rocked. Also, of all the sicilians I've had, their's is the best I've tried- due to the crunchy olive oil crust on the side and bottom of the pie. The guys that run it are incredibly friendly and nice. As testament to this, the last time I went in to pick up a regular slice and a broccoli rabe slice at the end of the day, they gave me 2 plain slices, the broccoli rabe and a sicilian and didnt charge me any extra! When I moved to New Rochelle 15 years ago we discovered Fratelli. The food was and still is amazing. This has been our go to for take out until today. I called and order our dinner for delivery. When we got it one of the dishes was completely wrong. I ordered plain pasta with butter sauce only to get a dish with shrimp and chicken. It was my daughters meal and she doesn't eat shrimp or chicken. When my husband called the guy who took the order to tell him our order was wrong, (who I think was new) he lied and said he read the order to me over the phone to confirm it. He blatantly lied. I know what I ordered. His attitude was rude and basically too bad so sad. We spent $70. My husband pointed out how we have been long term customers but he did not care. All we wanted was pasta with butter sauce- what we ordered. We have never encountered something like this before.
