It's been too long since I last went to that Bronx location and while I've driven by here many times before, I had no idea it was them. That being said, I'm so happy I found them again. I was thinking of Peppino's fairly recently actually and had told someone about them. I decided to look them up and took a special trip here just to make sure. Inside, there are pictures confirming all of it. Right there all along and I never knew. At least now I do! They even remembered me all this time later. The owners are great and have always been friendly and welcoming. There's some nice appetizing choices behind the glass and the menu is pretty deep with more than enough to satisfy everyone. Along with the one plain slice I just had to have, I tried the pepperoni roll and the chicken bacon ranch roll - everything was good and I recommend the chicken bacon ranch roll for all those who like that type of pizza. Located on Tuckahoe road, it shares the space with a few other businesses - namely Cafe Billiards. Parking lot is decent, but it's probably best to park along one of the sides as the front can sometimes get congested. 'Famous' is absolutely correct. Easily one of the best pizzerias around and one with history. Recommended for all. read more

My husband and I ordered a marghertia pie for the first and last time. It was literally just regular mozzarella cheese, huge tomato chunks and basil. Did not come with the traditional thick tomato sauce and FRESH mozzarella. When my husband complained they responded with "well that's how we do it here, you should have specified you wanted it the traditional way." Rude and unprofessional staff, they didn't even offer a refund or to redo the pizza. Waste of money and a disgrace to the authentic Italian margherita pie. read more

Ordered pizza from here through DoorDash while in town for an overnighter. I can't speak to the interior of the place or how they handle walk-ins, but for me the pizza I ordered came out fairly quickly. I ordered a medium with cheese only just to get a sense. The pizza was properly topped, had a nice undercarriage which was thin but held the heavy cheese. I really liked this and the sauce grew on me from first bite to the third slice. read more

I've only ordered take out from here through Door Dash. I really enjoy their entrees, especially the Chicken Picatta. I order it almost weekly. Their entrees come with a side of pasta and a side salad- all for around $15. They are also very generous with their portions. I've also ordered various appetizers a few times. One time I ordered a grandma slice to try and it was pretty good. One day I would like to order some of their other pizzas to give it all a try. This place is small hole in the wall restaurant. The pizza is actually good. The service was quick and fast. A lot of young people hang out here. I needed some NY pizza and it was late at night. Pretty good for NY pizza. Got a few slices before checking in to the hotel I reserved nearby. One of the slices was the bbq chicken. Very chunky and flavorful with every bite. The other was the pepperoni pizza slice which was also good. Both slices was more than enough to keep me full for the rest of the day. Decided to go here for lunch one day with my dad and it is delicious. Customer service is great and very personable. Nicely owned famous business and you can feel the love and passion for the business by simply speaking to the owners. The menu offers many options just like a pizzeria but the wraps are what really got me cause there were so many options. Also the pizza was so fresh and the crust was just perfect. It wasn't too thick and I enjoyed every single bite. I got "The Boss Wrap" and I cannot rave about it enough! It's chicken cutlet, penne all's vodka, and mozzarella. It was fresh and hot and every bite was better than the last. The macaroni was cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious. You have to try this place out! read more

My wife and I used to eat this pizza when we were children growing up in the area of 241st in the bronx. We were excited to find out when we moved to the yonkers area that these were the same guys from when we were kids. The pizza is awesome and brought back memories so I would go every friday to pick up a pie. Every time i go there is a problem mainly with customer service. This woman there has a terrible attitude. She hangs up the phone on you if you ask questions. Then she doesn't pick up the phone when you call back. Piss poor customer service. Its a major turn off. I'm so glad that Peppino's is in Yonkers now. The food is delicious. My daughter absolutely loves the garlic knots and marinara. My favorite thing to get is the Sicilian. It's always clean in there and we usually don't have any trouble getting a table. The gentlemen who work there have always been kind over the years. I will NEVER go there again. I ordered a chicken cutlet parmesan sandwich and when I got home and opened up the sandwich realized it was eggplant. No big deal. I called to tell them. They were rude and told me they would not deliver the correct sandwich that I must return the eggplant and they will give me the chicken. I brought the sandwich back. I placed an order on Grubhub and the estimated time was 25 minutes. I waited an hour and 15 minutes before calling the restaurant. When I asked for status, the person that picked up was very rude and told me to call Grubhub because they are not responsible to deliver my food. Then they hung up on me. I will never be placing an order from this restaurant again, as they don't seem to care about their Grubhub customers. They also lack basic customer service skills.
