    Horrible potato breakfast burrito.

By far worst potato breakfast burrito I've had in all of San Diego. The fries were hard and undercooked, the portion size was mediocre for the price and they charged 1.50$ extra for egg that they didn't mention until we got to the window to pay. We waited in line for 30 minutes for our meal to be made and it was NOT worth the wait. When we asked about the up charge on eggs they said they didn't know anything about it but would mention it to the guys. Horrible experience and horrible food.

One of the best Mexican places around the area. Their fries are always good and crispy and their bean and cheese never disappoints!! Definitely would make a 10-15 drive just to come here instead of anywhere else around the area!! Service is always good and they aren't greedy with their salsas which is super rare nowadays. The only downside is there is a wait time on weekends and Mondays but it's really not too bad.

This spot is a tiny stand in a parking lot with the option of walk up or drive thru. It may have been a good spot before, but according to what I got, (5 rolled tacos), it wasn't what I anticipated. They were all dried out and soggy. The only crispy parts were the ends that weren't smothered in coagulated cheese and what I assumed to be guacamole. I wouldn't recommend, unfortunately.

They forgot to add sour cream, which I asked for, to my bean cheesse burrito, which made it really dry, however the taste was decent.

This is a very good taco shop. Minus one star because their hard shell tacos crack before you get them home.

Today I had a California burrito & added sour cream to it. I love that it comes with pico de gallo, but not a whole bunch. It's not slammed with tomatoes. I've also had the shreddy burrito here, & it's excellent too. They give you red & green salsa with your burrito. I'm not much of a green sauce guy. But their red salsa is so good. & has a perfect spicy kick to it. The dinning area has a good atmosphere & the air conditioning works great on hot days!

**Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience**…read moreStopped by Albert's Fresh Mexican Food on my way home after picking up my son from a football fundraiser. We don't live in the area--it's in his dad's school district--so we're about a **20-minute freeway drive away**. We ordered **2 bean and cheese burritos and a menudo**. Somehow, it took **20-30 minutes just to get our to-go order**. After being out in the sun since 8 AM, I was exhausted, hungry, and just ready to get home. We finally get home, open the bag, and realize **WE WERE GIVEN SOMEONE ELSE'S FOOD**--1 carne asada burrito and 3 rolled tacos that were plain and **drier than the Sahara Desert**. At this point, I'm pissed. I called to ask for a refund because I live far as fuck and I'm absolutely not making another **40+ minute round trip** because YOUR staff handed me the wrong order. I was told they couldn't refund me unless I physically brought back the food I never even ordered. Their other solution was to remake my food--which, again, would require me to drive all the way back. To make the situation even more frustrating, the **"manager" I spoke with was not friendly or willing to work with the situation at all.** There was no attempt to understand that I don't live around the corner, no apology that made me feel like they actually cared about the inconvenience, and no reasonable alternative offered. It basically felt like, *bring the food back or too bad.* How exactly does that fix the situation for me? **I paid for food I never received.** Now, instead of coming home after being out since 8 AM and eating the dinner I already paid for, **I have to cook AND spend additional money on food because your restaurant messed up my order.** Two bean and cheese burritos and a menudo are not worth wasting another 40+ minutes of my time, plus gas, to correct **your mistake**. I already wasted 20-30 minutes waiting for the order in the first place. The last thing I should have to do is open every container before leaving to make sure your staff actually gave me what I paid for. **Your mistake should not become my responsibility, my extra drive, my extra gas, my wasted time, and my additional expense.** Mistakes happen--I understand that. What made this experience so upsetting was **how poorly the mistake was handled afterward.** A little understanding and willingness to work with a customer would have gone a long way. Instead, I'm home, hungry, **cooking lunch after I already PAID someone else to make lunch**, and out the money I spent on food I never received. Absolutely ridiculous and terrible customer service.

We were a large group so there were a few people rotating in and out to make our lunch special. The restaurant itself is beautiful. There is outdoor dining as well. Everything is well decorated and maintained. I would say very festive! There's live music on Sundays and Wednesdays. I would love to come back on a Wednesday for the Latin Jazz. The food was amazing! We felt like it was authentic and reasonable price point. For the table, they brought out lots of chips and salsa. It was nice and crispy and flavorful. Not spicy, though. I had ordered the Hacienda Carne Asada. It was a flamed broil skirt steak with a cheese enchilada, rice, beans, and guacamole. The beans came inside a fried tortilla bowl. OH MY! It was so good. I am embarrassed to say, I kept on eating and talking even though I was full. Overall, we had a great time! The food was delicious. The service was amazing. Ample parking. The price point was reasonable in this economy. You get plenty of food. Clean bathrooms. Look at their website for live entertainment schedule! I cannot wait to come back soon!

The tortilla can't hold the generous helping of chicken, which has a great flavor. By the time I finished the second one, and all of the chicken, onion and cilantro that spilled from the tacos, I was full. (I'm a senior citizen and I eat less now than I used to, so YMMV). I like their chicken tacos a lot better than Sombrero's chicken taco a la plancha, which has been my go to for lunch for years. That said, my wife prefers the California burrito at Sombrero, since the one from Chuy's had more fries than meat. The pollo asado quesadilla was very filling and very tasty (plenty of meat). Chuy's is right next door to Funky Burgers, and given the fresh food aspect of Chuy's offerings, I'd say Chuy's is probably better for you.

It also came with grilled onions, delicious rice and other items. It didn't have salsa and didn't need it. The peppers were spicy and added a nice heat. So good. Family had pollo asado tacos with guacamole that could've used a little more placer, but the chicken was flavorful.
