I came here to get rolled tacos and not spend $8 on them. They have options for orders of 3, for $4.50 with cheese and guacamole. It's 50 cents to upgrade the cheese only ones to have sour cream, so I figured it should cost about $5 plus tax to have both sour cream and guacamole. While I was waiting, I noticed they charge $1.49 for their hot carrots, which I always get for the jalapeño. I figured I'll ask as I'm done getting my food, and maybe they won't charge me. After waiting for about 5 minutes, a guy came on to take my order. The sound system was very poor, though, and communication was tough, but I got my order in. The guy tried to tell me the price, but it didn't come through all the way. When I got to the window, they said the price for 3 rolled tacos supreme was $7.81. I said that seems like way more than it should be, and the lady starts listing the prices for all my upgrades, including 75 cents for lettuce! I said that's way too much, and drove away as they were finishing making my order. I decided to go to my usual place, Sombreros, because their orders of 4 rolled tacos include lettuce, and to add sour cream and guacamole, it costs $7.70. And their jalapeño/carrots are free. Robertos wanted more money for less food. And they charge out the wazoo for a standard condiment that should be included anyway. Definitely won't be coming back. read more

Robertos is the best mexican food in Lakeside. The carne asada and chicken are great. If you don't eat beef, then you can get the carne asada fries with chicken instead, it's not on the menu, they're delicious. Haven't had anything from here that I didn't like. Beats Sombreros by far! I'm so annoyed with this place. It's so frustrating. This place used to be amazing but it's going straight downhill. The last three times I've gone they've managed to screw up my order. I've ordered a bean and rice burrito and asked them for no cheese but to add guac and fries. Tell me why I got a bean and rice burrito, with cheese, and then in a SEPARATE box gave me fries with guac on top. My husband and I just laughed hysterically. Until I realized I can't even eat my burrito because I do not eat dairy. Tonight My husband ordered for me a bean tostada with no cheese. They literally only put lettuce and beans on the shell. So weird. And My husband also asked for chips with a side of guac. They literally put cheese allllll over the chips and guac... where in that did I ask for cheese? If they had any ounce of customer service skills they would see a red flag if I ordered a dish with no cheese why would they still put cheese on something that wasn't even supposed to have cheese in the first place. Twice I've thrown out my dinner because they can't seem to get it together there. Thank god I don't have a deathly allergy. I love this restaurant and their food is always delicious. The people are very friendly. BUT, they almost never get my order correct. Often times, I reiterate myself to ensure that they heard my entire order and they still miss something. Sometimes, it's as simple as "a breakfast burrito with no egg" and they still put egg in it. Today, I ordered three burritos- two the same way, one different. A bit larger bust this time, they only gave me two burritos...It's hit or miss and it's very frustrating but their food always tastes good and I guess that's all that matters- if you get it, that is. read more

I would give this location 5 stars but.... the wait is forever long. I understand if theyre busy (because their food is BOMB) but I had to wait 15 minutes at the drive thru while there were only 2 cars and no one ever took my order. I then reversed and pulled in again and still nothing. On other occasions I have had a great expedited service but all the men in the back came to the front and started gawking at me. Yes, I was flattered but try to keep it on the DL if you're checking someone out in the drive thru. If you wanna see who it is come one at a time or pretend you're taking food to the front. Feeling disappointed. Come to this restaurant often. Tonight ordered a potato breakfast burrito (no meat). Pull up to the drive-thru window and see the cook finishing up what I believe is my burrito. However, the cook is picking lots of stuff out of the burrito. They then wrap it up and serve it to me. I ask what they were picking out and they said they accidentally put bacon in it. Now, I appreciate they caught the error and they did offer a new burrito, but only after I asked them about it. It bothers me that they knew of the mistake and tried to pull one on me. So now I don't think I can come back here because of the business ethics they are using, which is a shame because I've come here so many times before. read more

I ordered a chimichanga. It comes with sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, cheese, and Pico. My order was simple, chimichanga with sour cream and cheese only. I get it and check before I take off and there is guacamole on it, which I'm highly allergic too. The lady gives it back to chef and out comes my 2nd attempt. Pico allll over it. At this point im pissed. Then I notice him using his UNGLOVED hands to pic it out and give it back. Screw That! I made them remake it. And it still had lettuce on it, but I needed to talk away and deal with the lettuce before the burrito went through their window. Shocked that he was just scraping the stuff off. I went to this place for lunch through the drive thru and was not happy with their service. I ordered 2 California burritos with Guacamole. I specified 3 times that I wanted guacamole just to make sure my order was correct. I take my first bite and realize that they had messed up my order. I was so disappointed, instead of adding guacamole they added sour cream and to top off the bad experience the fries inside the burrito tasted a few days old! Went there last night after fishing hard all day, ordered 2 burritos and 1 quesadilla, I carne asada w/cheese 1 Ca with SC/Guac, no pico. $23 +, asked the girl @ the register why so much, she said SC +1.00, Guac + 1.50 and Cheese + 1.25, got home and all we had were two carne asada burritos, no CA as ordered and no cheese.
