Ummm I have never seen a taco for 3.75 like this? I felt like they must've made a mistake?!!! There was more meat in this one taco than 5 tacos from another place I don't know how they can afford that!! But I'm happy:)

Great crunchy shredded beef taco, stuffed with meat! Worth it and will definitely be back while passing through Oceanside.

Great shredded beef taco, stuffed with meat. Would definitely go back when passing through Oceanside.

$13 for Nacho Supreme with Pollo Asado - fine we're all dealing with higher pricing BUT don't give me a container full of stale-ass tortilla chips!!! Ridiculous! $3.50 for a watered-down horchata. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Great spot for a late night bite I got there a few minutes before they closed and they still served me Great food the burritos are skinnier compared to competitors but longer. Deliciously seasoned and super homemade tasting loved it! Definitely will be coming back soon

I hate to write this as this used to be my favorite Roberto's in the county. It's gone downhill. This was one of the last places with the salsa bar out that didn't charge for carrots. Salsa bar is gone and carrots are now a charge. The person at the front counter didn't say hello, didn't greet me, just stared and waited until I spoke. The bean & cheese burrito was half full (see photo) and the beans weren't salted and the tortilla tasted old. What's worse is no Roberto's in SD has guac in their Cali so it's usually safe for us allergy-wise, but they put guac here & neglect to list it. So the entire burrito was wasted and my husband had to go get food somewhere else & got a reaction. This is now as bad as some of the worse taco shops in north county. Just avoid it & go somewhere else. The Alberto's on mission Ave is worlds better & the carrots are free.

I used to come here all of the time years ago after a day out in the water and the food was amazing. Since then the food has downgraded drastically. The prices are good compared to surrounding areas We ordered a number of burritos - Tortilla is amazing so fresh but thats about it The Burritos were salty and no real flavor. Never again.

Gotta give the small business some love when they deliver. If you're in Oceanside and need a quick meal with that homemade, your abuelita and joventino home cookin feeling... look no further. This spot cooks up some solid Mexican food. I came in for breakfast burritos and didn't leave disappointed. Small, local feel. Cooks choppin it up in the back and FLAVOR. Swing by for a visit and support the family. You won't be disappointed!

Stumbled across Roberto's Tacos Shop 13 while leaving SD due to having a couple of companions complaining that we forgot to pick up some Cali Burritos. There are plenty of Hispanic restaurants all over, but this was the last stop for a place ending in -berto's in Oceanside. Gotta stop at a Berto's spot while in SD of course! The lady that was taking our orders seemed friendly & fast. We ordered 7 Cali Burritos. I ordered a Surf & Turf. Our to go orders were ready in good time & bagged up with sauces. Walking back to the car I could not wait & I quickly took my Surf & Turf burrito out & bit into it. It was fresh & hot. I was curious to see if I was going to get potatoes or actual French fries in it. Yup! Hot, fresh, crunchy, just fried French fries. So Good! I was glad I was able to have a few bites. Before heading back to the 805. Burritos were huge & thick... The side sauces that came with it were different than I'm used to. One was green & one was orange. It was okay, not my favorite. But, it worked with my Surf & Turf... Leftovers were still tasty the next day & a few days after according to the recipients... I would def come back to try more off the menu the next time I'm in SD.

Roberto's in Oceanside is the first fast food taco shop I ever tried in the 80's. This Roberto's taco shop #13 will always have a special place in my heart. Fun fact they had a previous location in the 80-90's and moved to the current location in the 2000's! The food is still quality. The machacha platter is my absolute favorite with lots of shredded beef, grilled veggies and egg. The beef taco's are pilled full of beef, cheese and iceberg lettuce. My kids love the cheese quesadillas and bean burritos. Big bang for your Buck!

Roberto's still going strong, stopped by and ordered roll tacos. They were crispy with cheese on top. They look tasty, but did not have much flavor. The service was friendly and the place is clean.

Damn a $20 carne asada burrito? Ok I hope it's the best. Nope not even close. This is why I normally cook at home.

Basic O'side taco shop. Food is good and service was fine. If the place was cleaned up a little nicer, I would have done 5 stars.

They have the best molcajete and fajitas around, at the best prices. We are here just to see if Cocina Del Mar is better. Long story short: it's not. However, their ceviche is AMAZING. Best ceviche I have had in north county San Diego outside of Dija Mara (which has the best ceviche in the known universe). It is extremely fresh and not overpowered by acidity, fishy smells or rubbery shrimp. The ceviche here is legit. Great. AND ONLY $10 (for cameron). If you order anything here, get the ceviche first. I'm anxious to try their aguachile now. We also ordered the fajitas ("suprema" with chicken, steak and shrimp). Fajitas did not come out sizzling at all. I have never seen this before. Also, there were only two shrimp. The steak/carne was bland and dry. Not great. Wife ordered the Sopes (3) and mother ordered the Enchiladas Cameron. The sopes were okay, but a bit bland. Wife had to salt everything on the plate. The enchiladas had a sauce my mom said was too sweet. She wasn't a fan. For all three dishes to be a miss is completely strange considering the sheer number of 5-star reviews. I want to believe. We must have come on an off-day, but the place was busy. Quite a few larger parties were here, so this place is popular with the natives. We also grabbed a Model and a Corona. Only $5 for the beers! Total for everything came to $117.64 (with tip). I would absolutely come back for the ceviche and to give them another shot by trying a different dish. I snapped pics of the menu so you can see the latest prices. Check it out.

It's a true family-style operation--one owner personally takes your order while the other is in the kitchen cooking everything fresh, and you can taste that attention to detail in every bite. It's the kind of place where you know you're getting authentic, homemade quality, not something rushed or generic. Since then we've been visiting other burrito places, but decided to give them another shot. We were pleasantly surprised to see things were "back to normal". Burritos were big again and the salsa bar was back. Chips were no longer free (I remember they used to be a long time ago), but no biggie. We were just picked up to-go. The burritos were good. Not great, necessarily, but good and the prices are some of the best around. They have a ton of options, and lots of drinks, including beer. We were just picking up, and it was a very hot day. The restaurant didn't have any air-conditioning so it was quite warm inside. Most people were eating outside. We'll be back again to try some other menu items given that their prices are generally pretty good.

This is by far one of my favorite places for Mexican food in SoCal. As a Cali Native now living in…read morethe great state of Texas, sometimes it's refreshing to step outside the land of Tex‑Mex and get the real deal again. Colima's hits that spot every single time. When you walk in, the person behind the counter greets you immediately -- and not the dry "hi, what can I get you?" type of greeting. You get a full "¡Buenos días, mija!" with that warm, almost‑grito energy that makes you feel like you just walked into your tío's spot instead of a restaurant. Super friendly, super natural, and very SoCal. I ordered the rolled tacos plate and wow... esa porción estaba gigante. I couldn't finish it. What I loved most was the meat; this is what meat is supposed to taste like. The beef was seasoned the way we grew up eating it: a little salty, a little savory, with that slow‑cooked tenderness that lets you know it didn't come from some pre‑bagged, mystery‑meat situation. You get hints of garlic, a little cumin, and that warm, almost toasty flavor that comes from meat that's actually been browned, not steamed. It tasted like someone's abuela was in the back saying, "No, no, déjalo dorar un poquito más. And the corn tortillas? Perfect. Thin enough to get that crisp roll, thick enough not to shatter. None of that flour‑tortilla‑trying‑to‑be‑crispy nonsense. These were crunchy, flavorful, and loaded. The toppings were just as good. The guacamole tasted fresh. You could taste the real avocado which was creamy, a little chunky, with lime that actually tasted like lime and not concentrate. The red salsa had a legit kick to it. It had hints of roasted chiles, was smoky and had a slightly bitter edge that tells you they actually roasted them instead of just tossing raw peppers into a blender. It wasn't tourist spicy; it was SoCal Mexican‑restaurant spicy, which is a whole different category. My partner ordered a breakfast burrito and honestly? That thing could've fed three people. It was massive, stuffed to the brim with cheese, egg, potatoes, and fresh bacon and exactly what a SoCal breakfast burrito should be: simple, hearty, and no shortcuts. Between the portions, the flavor, and the service that feels like home, this spot stays on my list every time I'm in Oceanside. If you're craving real Mexican food and not Tex‑Mex, pull up. You'll leave full and happy. #supportlocal
