This review is based off of almost a dozen times dining here so it's not based off of 1 bad experience. The food is very subpar, and their prices are outrageous for a low quality product. I wouldn't mind spending more if the food was good. My most recent experience saw me spending $18 on 2 small cheese steaks and a very small bag of chips. Their micro brews are some of the worst I have ever sampled. The only good micro beers they have are the guest taps. Don't waste your money trying any of their own beer... You will regret it. If you are in Bellefonte go to Bonfatto's and pay the same amount and get a much better product. If you want good micro brews go to The Gamble Mill. If you are in State College your dining experiences are endless and should never include Home D. read more

Ok, I should preface this with this pertains more to the location in the Bellefonte area. We have ordered from this location multiple times and not once has our order arrived at our door correctly. And when I have called the management, they act like its my fault I ordered food that did not arrive in my order. They are rude and did not even apologize. The food is decent but I have given this place multiple chances and they fail in their service time and time again. Its disappointing because I prefer to give my business to local places vs. the chains but they just not have measured up. read more

I agree with Katie Z. The food was so so. Wife and I had the meatloaf. It was decent except the outside was torched. The veggies that came with it were way undercooked and tasteless. My son had the fish and chips. Only one small piece of fish on his plate. The reason for 3 vs 2 stars was the beer. Both IPAs I had were great!! read more

I appreciate the customer service here ! Staff is very friendly and helpful in beer selection. Service is also pretty fast. Outdoor seating is a great add-on to this place. Price is also fairly decent. Will definitely stop by next time I am driving to NY to OH. :P read more

Beer was mediocre at best and after saying it was ok to have a small dog (2.5lbs)on the patio by the waitress, was rudely told by the bartender that they didn't have the insurance for a dog to be on the patio and the dog would need to leave.....never heard of such a thing. Being from out of town and there for a baseball tournament the choice was leave the dog in the hot car or leave. Great service and way to represent yourself to out of town era! Wonder if they have BS insurance because that's what it sounds like. read more

We ate at this restaurant on Sunday evening around 6:00 on May 19th. We assumed the service and food would be great due us enjoying Home Delivery in State College. We will not go back to Robin Hood Brewery. There were 2 wait staff(male and female) We had the female. She never smiled, seemed annoyed she was working and we felt very uncomfortable. I wanted to leave however the other people in our party said we would stay. Everything was an effort on her part. Again, she never engaged with us and stood far away from our table as she is taking our orders which I felt was odd. We were there for 1 1/2 hrs. My sister and brother in law ordered the salmon and tilapia dinners. The dinners looked like they had sat around all day and were so over done and dry. What a way to serve fish and charge $15 a dinner. I had a turkey sub and my husband had a turkey wrap which were fine. My husband ordered a Diet Pepsi which he never got and a cup of coffee for his dessert which he never got. He had to remind her to remove them from the bill when she brought it. I want to add the restaurant was NOT busy. We spent $95 for this meal and poor service which didn't even include the tip yet. It's unfortunate when you receive service like this for basic food. Giving one star because I had to give something but one star is a gift. We have been here several times and have always recommended this restaurant but after today this has all changed! We live a couple hours away and have always gone here after spending the day in bellefont. Today we were greeted by the manager as we walked in the door with a terrible attitude. One of the three of us had a small coffee in a Togo cup. We were met at the door being told that we were sitting outside and when we asked to sit inside the attitude started. We were told with a nasty tone that if we wanted to sit inside then the coffee cup had to be put in our car. Then finally given a table and left sitting until we finally just walked out. There were a total of three tables in the restaurant well on the patio so I guess sitting inside was the issue since he didn't even ask if the coffee was empty just told to get it out of the restaurant. If asked kindly wouldn't have been an issue but being talked to without any consideration is extremely bad business especially coming from a manager. A little kindness and respect goes a long way. Maybe this is why there was only three tables there for lunch on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Thank goodness there are more than just this restaurant to eat at in the area. read more

We had a very nice lunch today. The wait staff was very attentive, and friendly. The food was good. The medium size salad was tasty and the perfect portion. The onion rings were huge! From the moment I walked in the door, I was treated with courtesy and a willingness to accommodate our rather large/noisy group. The bar area was fairly busy at the time, so I figured we were in for a lengthy wait on food and drinks. Crystal, our server for the night, wasted no time taking our drink orders and getting us set up for the evening. Drinks came out fast and she accurately distributed them to each of us. She was very knowledgable of the menu items and offered suggestions when some of us got stumped. Once again, I was pleasantly surprised by the short time elapsed from order to food on the table. Crystal knew who got what and kept all of our special requests organized/accurate. All through the meal she was extremely attentive and most importantly kept the drink coming. Quality/Value of the food: I ordered some of the "New" flavored chicken wings. If you haven't tried them....I highly recommend them! Portions were very generous and tasty. Even as I wolfed down my delicious wings, I found myself becoming jealous of the all the other food at our table. I will be trying more menu items in the future. Prices are VERY fair for the quality and portions. LOADS OF SPECIALS AND PERKS ON VIRTUALLY EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK! I do not want to forget to mention the Manager (Mark). As we all were eating and enjoying the evening, Mark took the time to come over and thank us for coming in. He asked if everything was good and offered his assistance if we felt they could have done better. I have no doubt that if there were any problems, Mark would have dealt with them rapidly. If "Home Delivery" is part of your name, then you should be able to deliver.. After being disappointed time after time with the quality of the food when it's delivered (usually soggy and half cooked), we decided one last time to give them shot. We call on a Saturday night, 2-6-16, looking to give them one last shot, and we get "oh, we don't have a driver tonight". how the hell can you even justify that if part of your name is "home delivery"? More customers lost. We will never order again. Pizza Mia gets our business instead. read more

Simply put just plain awful. The beer is average at best. Home delivery part of this is the real problem the food is terrible the last 4 or 5 trips over past several years has just been awful. The service lacks greatly. The food came out wrong. She should of written the orders down there was 7 of us. I supposed she thought she could remember everything well that wasn't the case. We have tried delivery from this place twice, and both times we have been very disappointed and left feeling like we did not get what we paid for, because the food isn't cheap. The first time, we got an under cooked pizza, with toppings that had slid halfway off the pie. The second time we tried subs, they were soggy and very small for what we paid. Our kids got some soggy chicken tenders and fries, which honestly cost more than the ones we have purchased at ski resorts in New England, which are known for price gouging on food. So needless to say we are done with Home Delivery Pizza, the quality and cost are not up to par with what we demand. Not to mention this is the only restaurant I can recall that actually charges for delivery!!! I asked the delivery guy if the charge goes to him, and he told me it does not... even though they call it a "Fuel Charge" so I'm unimpressed with this joint on multiple levels. read more

My family and friends were there for dinner the other day. Waitress was very nice and courteous, got us everything we needed. The problem was the food.... First, I got a salad... The chicken was as dry as beef jerky.... It was missing half of the items that the menu said it had on it.... For $13.50 I expect more than a Wendy's style salad... My children all got kids meals for $4.00, the drinks were not included they were an additional $2.49 a piece..... So, you are actually paying as much for a child's meal as an adult meal.... I have been in the restaurant business for 25 years, I know the cost of soda and juices..... You people are making hand over fist on these kids meals...... If legal you could buy your child a beer at almost the same cost..... Our tables bill was around $200.00, for that price we could have had way better food.... If this is the best Sysco, or Reinhart has to offer I will pass.... So long Home Delivery..... read more

Worse outing ever, as usual for this dump. The pizza is good, the rest of the food is down right pitiful, and the service is really what puts this place into the crapper. Our party of 10, mind you the only reason we came to this excuse for a restaurant was because of the tasting trail, was first told to get a stamp we needed to buy a drink and that they wouldn't stamp our passports without a purchase of booze. I found that interesting because when we paid for the passports that was never expressed nor had any other fine establishment did this! In fact everywhere else you got free drinks or really nice gifts! The waitstaff then told us we get sunglasses??? After stamps were had and sunglasses were distributed, we then were privy there was a choice between a sample drink OR THE SUNGLASSES! Par for the course, we had to go to the bar to get our drinks freshened and , in general, the service and management is an embarrassment.. please take it off the trail!!! Please!!! Maybe remove Robin Hood and replace them with 814 cider or literally ANY WHERE ELSE! Also they screwed up the pizza orders LoL read more

The only thing that continues to be consistent is the disappointment. Not just in the food but also the attitude of the people who answer the phone. We picked up 2 pizzas last night, the pepperoni pizza was edible but the white pizza was almost raw.. again! The of the last 3 specialty pizzas we have ordered from here have 2 have been almost raw and the 3rd was burnt and none of them have had enough toppings to be considered a "specialty" pizza. I should not have to add pineapple, ham & onion to a fully cooked $14 small pizza and BAKE it for 15 to 20 minutes before it can be eaten. I guess that they make enough money with the brewery portion of the business that the restaurant has become an afterthought. When we moved here in late December of 2013 the food was very good and they actually carried the items listed on their menu, not sure what has happened since then but I will not be eating there or recommending it any more. read more

My wife and I visited this place for dinner on a Friday in February of 2019 and it was a crappy experience. We sat in the dining room and service was so slow. It was obvious to me that the waitress simply had too many tables to take care of and she was basically in a damage control mode. That is somewhat understandable. Maybe they were short handed because someone called off unexpectedly or something. But when our meals finally did come, my wife's greek panzanella salad featured pastrami that was spoiled. I am not a picky eater, not bothered by much, but she had me try a piece and I gagged on it. So we waited forever at our table with sparse drink refills for rotten food. To top it off, their portion size has shrunk drastically from what it was 5 years ago. We are both disappointed, mostly because Home-D was our favorite restaurant for years and now it has gone to pot. I guess all good things come to an end. read more

Stopped in for lunch the other week. Not busy at all around 12:30pm and we sat in the bar area. The bartender was very concerned with entertaining one of the guests she apparently knew there, so service wasn't great. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak tacos and they were very bitter. The cheese sauce was an odd color and I didn't end up finishing them. I don't think I'll come here to eat again. read more

This place is a diamond in the rough. You wouldn't know how nice of a place it is from the road. We were seated right away and the drinks came out fast. We ordered a crab dip pretzel for an appetizer and it was amazing! The menu has a mixture of sandwiches, pizza, boiles, and dinner features. Meals were out in about 10-12 minutes. Went to have pizza with my family, ordered cheese bread and a pizza with a few toppings. The cheese bread came out Burt all over on top, I don't mean the crispy brown pieces of cheese! It was black! The pizza then came out the entire bottom was black! I returned the pizza and the second one came out black! The waitress who was OK that the food came out this way told us that the cook forgot about the pizza's. I told them to forget about making me another one. The waitress brought out my check which I was told to pay for burnt cheese bread and the drinks. Went to Home D one other time before this and ordered a salad. My entire salad came out brown and drowned in dressing and BBQ sauce. I took one bite and was done. The waitress who by the way was the same waitress during the pizza incident asked if the salad was bad, I said ti was terrible she said sorry and brought us the check. Poor service. We used to go once a month, we will not be going back again. Horrible place, horrible service! read more

My wife and I get to Home D Bellefonte 6-8 times a year,,,no more! Today we had the most dismal dining experience we've had in recent memory. Our server (Jessica) was inattentive...took 15 minutes before my wife went to find her to heat up a cup of cool coffee she served. I got soup and a burger and expected the soup to come out first...alas, it was too salty to enjoy anyway (corn chowder). My wife ordered a meatloaf dinner...the meatloaf was burned (how do you do that??). The gravy had started to gel, so it seems the dinner was left waiting before it got delivered to us. They seem to have repriced their menu since my last visit...everything seemed a tad over-priced. I am not price-sensitive at all and expect to pay for high quality and service. Unfortunately, Home D missed on both counts and have lost my business. read more
