Kay Jewelers - Center Floor

Kay Jewelers

I recently proposed to my fiancée with a ring from Kay Jewelers, and the experience was fantastic…read more I called ahead since I was cutting it close to closing time (I live nearby off Morton Ranch), and Tony told me to come on in anyway. He greeted us right away, explained that the piece she'd seen online was online-only but could be ordered, and then showed us a stunning alternative that retailed for $3000 but was on sale for around $1400. We fell in love with it instantly. I ended up spending about $1700 out the door, including the lifetime warranty and free cleanings--totally worth it. I mentioned this was a "starter" ring until we upgrade, and Tony explained their great trade-in policy: bring it back toward anything double the price or more. The selection is impressive--tons of beautiful rings, necklaces, watches, everything sparkling and organized. You're bound to find something in your budget. Value-wise, getting a $3000 ring for half off felt like a steal, and knowing we can upgrade later makes it even better. As a first-time Kay customer, I was blown away by Tony's helpful, no-pressure service. I'll definitely be back for all future jewelry needs and ask for him specifically. Highly recommend!

I brought a ring made of 14K gold with 5 diamonds across to see if they would be willing to remove…read morethe diamonds and repurpose them into a bezzled necklace for my wife's birthday. The manager declined to move forward with my request because he incorrectly identified the ring as 14KP=14 karat "Plated" gold which was not correct. 14KP means 14K "Plumb" which is a term that was used years ago to signifying the gold is exactly 14-karat gold (58.33% purity) or higher. This was a missed opportunity to earn my business, because I took the ring elsewhere to another jeweler who bought the gold value from me, took the diamonds out and repurposed them into a beautiful necklace. I was disappointed that they were not able to identify the gold correctly.

Disappointed, Fades to brassy patches in a year. Misleading marketing…read more I bought this tungsten carbide ring as my husband's wedding band, expecting it to last a lifetime. Tungsten is heavily marketed as "indestructible," which led me to believe the ring would maintain its appearance. Unfortunately, just a little over a year into daily wear, the gold finish has completely broken down, and a brassy color is showing through in large patches. When I contacted customer service about the issue, this was their exact response to me: "With everyday wear, it's normal for that gold plating to gradually wear down over time, especially on a ring that's worn daily. Factors such as exposure to hand sanitizers, soaps, lotions, cleaning chemicals, salt water, perspiration, friction, and frequent contact with hard surfaces can all accelerate the natural wearing of the finish. Based on the age of your ring, which was purchased in April 2025, and the photos you provided, the wear appears consistent with the normal aging of a gold-plated tungsten band. Unfortunately, because the finish is a surface coating rather than solid gold, it is considered a normal wear item and is not typically covered under warranty." Although they offered a discounted replacement, a wedding band is meant to be worn daily, so I'd be stuck in the same place in a year, even with the replacement. If a company's product cannot handle basic everyday activities like washing hands, using soap, or applying hand sanitizer without looking terrible in 12 months, that needs to be explicitly stated upfront on the product page. I never would have bought this ring if they had been honest and transparent from the beginning. Avoid this company if you want a wedding band that actually lasts.
