Sadly, this place has gone down in rating in my opinion. Staff isn't too attentive or helpful, on their phones mainly. Also, the price you pay for the tokens you get and the price of each machine is NOT worth it. When we first went everything was 2 tokens and it made sense. Now, the plushies variety is minimal and cheap quality. Also please note that these are NOT quality claws. We have been to numerous claw machine arcades in Southern California and this one by far is one of the worst. We normally leave with several plushies. Today we spent 100$ and left with 1. My 6 1/2 year-old daughter, who absolutely loves Pokémon, Sanrio, and cute figurines like Lalabubu, was so excited to visit Robo Hunters. They have claw machines and vending-style crank machines filled with adorable collectibles. I gave her $5 for tokens, thinking she'd get a fun prize from one of the crank vending machines where you always get something. She picked a Lalabubu-themed machine near the clerk that cost 3 tokens and showed all the possible figurines in the window. Imagine our shock when the prize that came out was not a toy at all -- it was a plastic egg containing only a piece of paper with a 5% off coupon. Nowhere on the machine did it clearly say a coupon could be a prize, just the cute figurines behind the glass. We felt outright tricked. I explained to the clerk that this wasn't what we expected, but she dismissively said, "That's the prize, it's a blind bag," and walked away without any empathy. My daughter was heartbroken, and frankly, I was angry. We tried the claw machines next, but they barely let you reach the edges, making it nearly impossible to win anything. This felt like a bait-and-switch, a grift disguised as fun. If you want to take your kids somewhere honest and joyful, look elsewhere. Robo Hunters left us feeling ripped off and sad. Their token machine took my $20 but only dispensed 16 tokens instead of 20. When I went to the cashier for help, she refused to even walk over to the machine to see the error. Instead, she gave us attitude and handed us 15 tokens. When we counted them and pointed out that we were still missing one to make the full 20, she accused me of taking one. She also asked if I had already used tokens to get the toy in my hand. That toy actually came from a $6/6 coin vending machine from a previous $20 purchase, so the accusation made no sense. I couldn't have taken 1 token to get the toy. Rather than blaming customers, the staff should check the machines and apologize when something goes wrong. This situation could have been resolved in seconds if the cashier had simply come to the machine to verify the issue. ALSO THE $6 TOY I GOT FROM THE LITTLE VENDING MACHINE CAME DEFORMED. So over this place. For the owner's awareness: this happened between 6-7 PM on 3/8/26. The cashier was a young girl with black straight hair past the shoulders. Service was terrible. When it came to the card section I had asked for pricing ahead of time to confirm how much it was. Everything for collectible cards was inflated 5times the amounts. I was interested in purchasing some Pokémon cards because it was original price . Who wouldn't want to buy something like this at original price? MANAGER TELLS THE WORKER to basically get the product back after I had already purchased... That is a very terrible business practice where as I have came in a few times to have already support the business. Still such a great place for a date! Staff is nice and if you ask them they can move a plush around in the claw machine if they're off to the corner or side where the claw can't reach/hard to reach. Chances of winning are much lower since grand opening, they've reprogrammed their machines. They haven't opened up the back section where you can upgrade your plushies yet. Came here with friends after we stopped by 3Catea for boba! We actually wouldn't have even known about this place, or have even stopped by, if we didn't see the promo in-store that if we bought a drink we would stop by Robo-Hunters for two free tokens. We were getting boba anyway, and were curious so we thought why not. I figure it would be some sort of gaming thing? But my friend group was surprised that it was a crane game store. They also have special figure vending machines, and in general have anime/gaming figures as well as various cute merchandise for sale around the store. If you purchased a 3Catea drink, you just have to show them your receipt or beverage. Honestly, I think two free tokens is quite generous as the conversion rate is $1 per token. They also have various ways on the opposite side of the register table to get additional tokens via following their social media accounts and leaving a review. My friends and I actually had a really great time here! I shy away from crane game machines because it felt like the machines got increasingly rigged over the years. Trauma from Round1 where I spent $10 and got nothing in like 2 minutes deterred me from trying again. But my friend spent quite a bit here and won a few prizes! I actually amazingly managed to win a cute luau sandwich pig plush. The variety of prizes is actually really cool, and are of great quality. A must-visit for claw machine lovers! This place has so many mini claw machines as well as regular-sized ones, and they're decently priced. It's one token per play for the mini ones and two tokens per play for the bigger ones. Each token is $1, and you can ask the front desk to give you change if you need it. The prize selection was great. They had some Sanrio themed plushie keychains as well as some Kirby ones. There were also medium-sized Sanrio plushies in the bigger claw machines. The machines had a pretty good grip and we were able to win some plushies after only a few tries. It was pretty busy inside when I went, and they seemed to be adding more machines since they just opened recently. They even had some anime figures up for sale towards the side of the store. Even though there were a lot of people, there's plenty of parking available since it's located in a fairly big plaza. They also have an online site to purchase some of the plushies or figures, which is super convenient. Overall, I really enjoyed coming here and I hope they add more machines soon! read more

I have mixed feelings about Robo Hunters. On one hand, I'm glad that they've opened a place for claw machines, figures, and collectibles in the Chino Hills area. On the other hand, the merchandise here seems a bit overpriced. Maybe they take advantage of the fact that there isn't a similar place in the area. However, having gone to several similar places in the LA/OC area, the prices here are steep. For example, I picked up a Kandy x Sanrio blind box with the intention of buying it and the cashier told me that it was over $40. To put this into context, I saw the same blind box sold at a shop in Little Tokyo recently that sold the same figure for $16.99. If this location wants to be competitive, they should rethink their pricing model. I can't talk for the claw machines (though those are always a money burner). But, for blind boxes, an average consumer can price match online and see that something like this is overpriced. I will say that I got a cute set of press on nails for $8 which, to me, is reasonably priced. Seems like pricing is all over the place and I will consider coming back if they make some adjustments. read more

Hello yelps, If you're looking for a good time at reasonable price, DON'T COME HERE. Unfortunately I've been here 3 times and all 3 times it's been the same. Don't get me wrong, the place is very nice, very bright, music, has a lot of anime figure from many big brand companies. Let's talk about price, Most machines are 2 tokens and small ones are 1 token. Some have some nice plush and but more just mid to gameworks style plush. Your get bonus for signing up for their membership but it's not worth it. Why? That's going to lead to the next reason why not to come here. Crane machine setup I come from years of amusement game and I know how these set up works, you can also YouTube and their are plenty of videos explaining this. First of, it's a skilled game once the machine meets its dollar value goal. This means it will pay out once it meets it amount it wants. Say for example it wants to make $20, the machine claw won't tighten or hold the plush even if it has a good grip, it will just drop it before it even gets to the prize hole. It will go 100% strength when it meets its $20 value. Every machine will pay out. Only when it meets it goal. The machine pressure triggers are too high, at times the claws will only touch the plush and close way before it has time to wrap around the plush. Toy resets, this location does offer assistance in reseting the plush if it's stuck or in a bad position. Staff is another issue, poorly trained and Unmotivated, it feels like if you're asking for help that you basically have to beg them to let them steal your money. At times I would notice that they would just reset the prize back to a position that is square one, even if you had spend $6-$10 bucks already. They're normally behind their counter talking to among themselves or just starting into the void wishing to be off work. Never one that no one greeted, attempted to help or offer any form of assistance in explaining how the crane games work. This location is a predatory business, preying on how dumb you are on making the same mistakes. By the time you figure you can ask your crane can get reset you've already spent $20 or more on single machine. Let's not forget the other type of players that just watch you make the mistake and as soon you give up they come in and win once they know the machine is ready to pay out. Overall They're are plenty of crane games locations, some better then others. Some prizes suck and some are legit. This location unfortunately hits all the negative aspect what a amusement crane store should be. Do better elsewhere. read more

I can only rate this place from someone who just browsed around and ended up not purchasing anything. So, here are my initial thoughts. This location used to be an H&M, but after some business struggles, they ended up going out of business, and the unit was left empty and unoccupied for a while. As time went by, Robo Hunters finally occupied the unit and opened for business. I was curious to check it out while shopping around The Shoppes this past Memorial Day weekend. The store is anime/Japanese pop culture themed and sells anime figurines, plushies, blind boxes, jewelry, and more. The items look decent and are fairly priced. Towards the back of the store, there is quite a lot of space that is yet to be occupied. I think since the unit is pretty spacious, they currently don't have much to occupy the extra space. Overall, my first impression of Robo Hunters was that it is a decent store that is a good place to have some fun, kill time, and shop for cute and cool items. read more

Upon arrival, we were told we could switch prizes within the same machine, but later they informed us that prize exchanges were only allowed if the prize was broken. Additionally, the employees were unfriendly and gave us hostile looks, which made our family outing less enjoyable.
