My 10 week old Samoyed puppy and I came to Rob as part of his 8 lesson Off Leash Program. I contacted Rob a month before I had purchased her from the breeder. I wanted to be proactive and start my new puppy off on the right foot (paw). Rob spoke with me regarding all my questions and concerns and even provided advice when it comes to picking a confident puppy with a calm temperament. My main concern was the use of an e-collar which Rob strongly recommended. He quickly alleviated my concerns stating that e-collars, when used safely and appropriately, are an invaluable tool for training that will not harm the dog. I was thankful for Rob's advice when picking a puppy. She has grown up to be a very confident and social girl with a calm temperament. She had no prior issues with fear or aggression. Anyways, back to the training... My training experience with Rob was very positive from beginning to end. Our first session began 3 days after I brought my puppy home. He was able to give some great initial advice when it comes to crate training and house breaking, which made the entire experience much easier and less stressful (And far fewer accidents occurring in the house). From lesson to lesson, my puppy progressed from house breaking and basic commands (sit, down, stay, heel, come when called) to walking off leash, avoiding distractions, and overall socialization. Regarding the e-collar, please note that it was not until several lessons were completed (and she was older and much bigger) before the e-collar was introduced. Once we began using the e-collar, I immediately understood what Rob meant regarding its use. When used appropriately, the e-collar becomes a tool to keep your dog's attention, and in no way is to be used to punish or hurt your companion. By learning from Rob the appropriate way to use the collar, I too have found it to be an invaluable tool that helped take my puppies training to new levels. A nice aspect of Rob's lessons is that he seems to assess you and your dog's progress before deciding on the date of the next lesson. The time between each lesson seems to be determined by your progress. In other words, at no time did I feel that the lessons were rushed. He takes the time necessary to see that you can achieve your goals with your dog. By our final lesson, Rob and I were playing with her in the park without a leash. We watched her run and play, yet she always returned to us when called. Even with other dogs, people, birds, etc. to distract her. I do feel that it is important to state that in the Off Leash Program, Rob trains the owner just as much as your dog. He will give you the training tips and tools to help you make your dog into a stellar and disciplined companion. The 8 lesson Off Leash Program requires significant time and effort on the owner's part. However, if you can put in the time, I believe that you will be just as pleased with the results as I am. Since completion of Rob's course, I frequently receive complements from bystanders, shocked by her level of discipline at such a young age. On more than one occasion this has resulted in people asking if I am for hire to train their dogs, in which case I of course refer them over to Rob's Dogs LLC. My Samoyed is now six months old. She is an absolute joy. Well-disciplined, social, and confident. I remain in touch with Rob as he encourages me to contact him if I ever have any questions or concerns. He is very approachable and has given me great advice not only regarding training, but in the basic care of my new pet. Rob's Dog training was absolutely fantastic and life changing. We sent our two year old rescue frenchie, Ace, to Rob's Dogs as a last hope. Ace was not socialized from his previous home and was incredibly aggressive to other animals and humans. Ace would not listen to commands, would start fights with the other animals, would become aggressive over toys, food, and simple attention. If you tried to reach down and pet one of the other dogs, Ace would attack until they backed off and only he got the attention. We hardly went a single day without someone getting bit and he almost always broke skin. We honestly sent Ace to this training with the goal of learning some tools to curb his aggression. And yet, the very first video we received from the trainer was how Ace had already learned how to sit, lay down, and heel. It blew our minds that they had even gotten that far with him. Every update heightened our hopes further and further. When we got to pick him up, his trainer Michael spent two hours working with us, explaining the training process, showing us tips/tricks, and actively trying to get a rise out of Ace to show us how to deal with aggression. Ace didn't bite him (or us) once, even when actively trying to rile him up or force aggression. The combination of electric collar, choke chain, and leash proved incredibly useful when reuniting him with the other dogs and for teaching us his boundaries. Also, Michael spent considerable time with Ace regarding kennel training, and let me tell you it changed the game. Ace actively seeks out the kennel throughout the day to eat, drink, nap, play with certain toys, ect. He understands that the kennel is HIS safe space, and if he is in there, no one bothers him. He knows that he only gets to eat in the kennel, and will sit and wait patiently at the back of the kennel while we prepare his food (in a whole different room!). We actually have had Ace back home for a few weeks now and I can honestly say that the training sticks. He has not bitten any of us humans and has curbed many of his bad habits. He does still get into fights with the other dogs occasionally over resource guarding if the opportunity presents itself, but those instances are few and far between. Oh! Also! The command "Drop", oh my goodness, life changing! Ace does not even need to be wearing any of his training materials (choke chain, electric collar, leash, ect) and if you say "drop", he will immediately drop whatever it is. Toy, food, objects he is not supposed to have, ect. Immediately drops the item, no questions asked. It is honestly incredible. Him taking things and then starting fights over the stolen item was a huge issue before we sent Ace to training. Now, Ace listens immediately and drops anything (again, even FOOD) and he doesn't have to be wearing anything to follow the command. Honestly, I would recommend Rob's Dog training to anyone and everyone. It is absolutely worth every penny. I promise you, it will change you and the relationship you have with your dog. Take it from my family, this training was our LAST hope before we were going to have Ace put down for aggression. Now we have a whole new dog who has joined our forever family. A few months ago my SO and I took our two German Mixes to Rob to get trained. They're very friendly, but were impossibly pulling on leash and had zero recall no matter what training techniques we used. We got them into his 7-week boarding program. The wrench was that we were moving cross-country right after we got them back (like days) and the training has stuck. We were able to take them to multiple restaurants and cafes with no issues. They laid at our feet and didn't move. We also had an incident in Amarillo where our hotel door didn't close when we were leaving and Ryder (the big one) got out. Our hotel was right next to a very busy road and a huge park on the other side. My SO saw, yelled his name and he came running with very little correction, sat down in the room and waited for his turn to get put in the car. We have been able to play with them outside and take them for walks off leash all the time now. Our quality of life has improved drastically-we can go places (including an awesome doggie bar on the Jersey Shore) and running on the beach and eating at a very busy restaurant with a lot of other dogs around with zero problems. It's expensive, but you know you're getting good quality training and personal attention. I love how he talks to you directly in his office, and it's a kennel, not a super clean and shiny boarding school where you honestly don't know if they care more about the facility or the dogs. He cares about his dogs and puts just as much care into your dogs as well. He's very good with training you as an owner as well so you can keep up the training and commands. His training has actually allowed us to train our dogs additional commands ("stairs" so that they know to go up to the apartment and wait for us without leaving, etc.) with little issue. If you want a dog that is very responsive and have awesome play times, great off-leash training, and happier puppies, then get your dog to Rob. i recently had my dog stay for the board and train and she was there for 9 days. i was a little skeptical of what results to expect because ivy was a very wild dog. loving but wild. very hard to tame and bolted any chance she would get. would run from point a to point b. never walked. i didnt expect over night changes. when we picked up ivy michael sat with us and talked to us about the training and showing us everything we needed to know. then michael brought ivy and it was day and night difference to what she was. she was so calm. followed commands and michael let us love on her before he showed us how to handle, train and assist ivy in continuing a successful training goal. he took us out and showed us how to handle ivy and continue helping her train. when we brought her home i was worried. but i can say 2 days home and she has made huge changes at home and has been easy to help her to continue to work on what she was taught and help her learn new things here at home that needed correcting. im 100% completely satisfied with the training she has received and would definitely recommend michael to anyone i know. we definitely will be bringing her back to michael for off leash training and to continue any further goals we have for her. he was amazing and made us feel completely comfortable with leaving her in their hands with daily communication and making sure to let us know he is available to us with any questions we may have now or in the future. thank you so much michael and robs dogs!!! read more

Took my 6-month-old German Shepard to Rob's dogs. We did the board and train for 2 weeks which includes 4 off-leash private lessons. Before Robs Dogs team ever worked with Bowser he was extremely dog reactive and wanted to bark and lunge at every dog he saw. We went to pets mart to do puppy training and it was a disaster Bowser was constantly removed from the class due to his barking at the other dogs. After just 2 weeks of board and train, I was able to take Bowser to several stores where he never once barked at anyone or any dog in fact he outright ignored a big Cane Corso barking at him. He followed all the commands learned while being tutored at Rob's Dogs. Bowser is still the loving puppy we have grown fond of and love just with a better sense of belonging within the pack. This was our second time using Rob's Dogs. The first time was with our dog Bud who jumped into my daughter's car. No one ever claimed him so he became our pup. Bud was a hot mess. Uncontrollable! After 2 weeks in house training at Rob's Dogs he came back a different dog. Now two years later, we saved another pup from euthanasia. She was dog reactive and didn't get along with 2 other dogs in our pack. So we knew we needed help. After meeting with Rob and deciding what would work best for her, she was booked for a three week training course. Here is why we recommend Rob's Dogs, for the 3 week's Alijah worked with her we got videos twice a week to see her progress. It was amazing how each video showed her getting better and better. We absolutely cannot say enough good things about Rob and his training program. We started positive training programs early on with our Brittany, Gaston and although he was obedient and followed some commands when we asked him to stop doing things he basically ignored us. He was also super reactive with other dogs and still pulled on the leash during walks--making going out with him in public so stressful. We enlisted him with Rob's 2 week board and train program ( and actually tacked on one more week due to a work trip) and Rob kept us updated on his progress by sending text updates and pictures which was super reassuring. My 9 year old was desperately missing her pup and he let her come while following their commands and give him some love at the end of his second week of training. We got back this amazingly obedient dog that we are absolutely enjoying now. He now follows our commands and knows we are the ones in charge!! We also know what to do on those rare occasions when he does not follow our commands. I dropped off Riot, my 14 month old Aussie Shepherd, with Rob's Dogs while I spent two weeks abroad. It was the first time I'd ever boarded a pet, before, and was a little anxious to do so, but the reviews looked promising. A complete transformation with our two male Amstaff puppies. We found out after adopting them that two males was a recipe for disaster so we knew that serious training would be needed. Our pups spent two weeks at 'boarding school' and we are shocked by their transformation. When we dropped them off they were a handful. They would chew on their leash, not follow direction and appeared to be anxious most of the time. They would chew on my flip flops while I was wearing them! They are cute but clearly this behavior had to stop. Just picked them up this past Friday and spent most of the weekend with our mouths hanging open. They follow our commands, are a pleasure to take on a walk, and no longer feel the need to do more than sniff a flip flop or shoe. They are calmer, happier and eager to make us happy. We spent a hour reviewing the commands and how to proceed with training once we got home. Rob was beyond professional with every aspect of setting up training and thorough with instructions. My husband and I were expecting our first child and was concerned about our dog. He is a Doberman Husky mix and is very protective of our house, so protective that we don't have company over. In addition, he pulled a lot on a leash which made it difficult for me to handle him especially when pregnant. I am very pleased with the training that my dog Sadie received from Rob's Dogs. I left her with them for two weeks and in that time she learned how to do. everything I requested and more. Rob was very informative in our first meeting and I felt confident that I was in the right place. Lauryn worked with Sadie and during the training she sent me videos showing the progress she was making with Sadie. When I came to pick up Sadie after two weeks, she was a new dog. We rescued a pair of dogs who had been abandoned at a local park. Other than being potty trained, they could not be walked because the female was so wild and out of control. Not a puppy but still very young, she would pull on her leash and drag anyone who attempted to walk her. She would bark and jump whenever any person would walk by. She couldn't be around other dogs without barking uncontollably or she would be so nervous she would cower. We considered giving up and taking her to the pound. But after seeing his truck with his services advertised, we gave Rob a call. After a short evaluation, we signed her up for 1x/week training. What a HUGE difference after just the first session! She has completed her training and we are happy to report she now can be walked with ease. She also has even learned several commands. Its like a completely different dog! Rob of Rob's dogs, and Lauryn. Are the best trainers I ever had the pleasure to work with. When people say you can't teach old dogs new tricks they are WRONG. Rob of Rob's dog training can!!! I had the worst behaved older dogs. Yoda 8 and Woody, 6. They were Barking, BITING, jumping on people, marking their territory inside the house, every bad behavior they could possibly teach each other. Friends were reluctant to come to my house. 2 weeks training with Rob and Lauryn, they are now different dogs. They listen to their commands. They actually listen to me and OBEY me. I do not have to raise my voice. When I say no it's NO! Not only did my dogs get training, I also got trained on how to handle Yoda and Woody and give them the right commands. We had to practice what they were taught. We still do, and they are happy to please, and sweet and loving pups once more. They now listen to me and obey. I could not be more pleased! I can't say enough about Robs Dogs and the work they did with our dog Lyra. I came to them on a referral from a neighbor to help with Lyra's super reactive behavior with other animals. We were preparing to blend families including another sweet pup, Bruin, and we had to do what ever it took to make sure these dogs had the best chance of cohabitating safely. I adopted my six year old lab retriever from the pound about 9 weeks ago. He is a sweet and gentle dog inside but when we would go on walks he would lunge and bark at people, other dogs, and cars and was easily scared. I couldn't control him and it was so stressful to take him anywhere. We did the four session on leash training package with Rob and Lauryn and I started seeing changes during the first session. Today was our last session and we took him to several public stores. He is a different dog! He was able to be around lots of people and other dogs without any issues and is consistently following commands. I am so happy and would recommend Rob's Dogs to anyone. We recently used Rob's Dogs LLC for K9 training. We can not thank Rob's Dogs enough for everything thing they did to get our boy Tito the positive training he needed. We adopted Tito when he was 6months old and he needed postitve reinforcement along with training on how to be around people without a negative reaction. We were paired up with Zakita and she changed our world for the better! With in the first week of our private lessons, our walks with Tito were enjoyable compared to previous walks where it was a nightmare. Zakita worked with both Tito and us to where we co-exist walking at parks and around the neighborhood and walking past people with no issues. We are forever grateful for the lessons we learned from Zakita and will continue them. Tito is now showing alot more compassion and where he likes attention from his humans.
