We got the spring roll from that menu. But rest of what we ordered was oh Korean bistro. The Tteokbokki app was flavorful and a little sweet. I wish they had more onion though. The beef hotstone bibimbap was beautiful when it came out. Sizzling. Freshly cooked. I got a side of kimchi. They had so may sauces on the table that I could have with my meal. Yes yes and yes.. so glad I came across this place. I'll enjoy this underrated spot while it's not popping all over socials, but I'm sure that time will come. Firstly, this is a joint restaurant with Pho Tien. They offer both Korean and Vietnamese cuisines. As of September of 2025, the whole plaza is under construction but the business is open! It looks a little odd but just trust the process. As I mentioned they offer two cuisines so the variety of food options is great! Whats even better is the taste. I tried a simplistic dish, the jajangmyeon ramen and added the cheese and egg, and it hit. Everything you hope for in a comfort dish (and for a price that almost feels like a steal). I also got to try some of their Korean beef and it has that flavor that just makes you want more and more. I'll be back to try that dish in its entirety. Now about the service.. it was good but there were some tiny flaws. They seem family owned so expect a couple language barriers but that's never an issue in my opinion. There just wasn't anyone that came to refill our waters and we waited a little bit for someone to swing by so we could get our check. This restaurant has offered different Asian fare during the past 27 years, from Thai to mixed Asian and now Korean. Located in the plaza at the northeast corner of Sunrise Boulevard and University Drive, there is ample parking. For a table of four we ordered the veggie pancake, jap chae, bulgogi, and the chicken dolsot bim bim bap. The bulgogi was a tad dry. The jap chae was OK. But we really liked the chicken bim bim bap with its hot rice, veggies, chicken, and fried egg. We adored the veggie pancake, which had carrots, cabbage, mushrooms, and yellow onion. It was a delicious chewy treat, so we had to order a second one. Our server, Kalok, was amicable and offered excellent service. We missed the typical Korean benchan---small appetizers that can be eaten before and during the meal. Instead, we received four small bowls of kimchee. The place is being renovated on the outside, so it made the dining area dark. However, the inside really needs a face-lift because the decor seems like the same one from 27 years ago when we first went there. Nevertheless, the food is good and you should give it a try. Service was very tentative and friendly as we entered the restaurant. Our water cups were always refilled. Love that! Happy Hour is coming in Dec from 11am to 7pm with BOGO beers. I ordered the gomtang. Very beef heavy, you know the chef spent a long time cooking that broth. It was very rich, flavourful and helped my sinuses. Delicious. Rice was soft and fresh. My husband ordered the carbonara Ramen. It had grated cheese to get that extra kick. The kimchi was my favorite part. The kimchi here is fermented for 6months!! It was very authentic. That was the first thing I said to my husband when he asked how it was. The flavor brought me back to Korea! Coming soon there will be a spice challenge!!! The tteokbokki will come in different level of spiciness, ranging to mild to extreme. The chef was very excited to add this to their menu. We can't wait to try it. Cute little Korean spot located in shopping center with plenty of parking. I happened to go while they were still constructing the outer part of buildings but inside was very nice and quaint. I ordered the Ghalbi Ribs, bibimbab, teopokki, and the soy garlic fried chicken. The food was good just some minor critiques, such as the ribs were very fatty and overcooked. They had good flavor I was just a little dissapointed. The teopokki was good and cheesy and I loved the fish cakes. Soy garlic fried chicken was incredibly crispy. Loved that. I ran into this by sheer accident as I didn't even know this was a Korean restaurant. So the staff here was super friendly and even gave us some additional items to try as a courtesy. I really liked my bibimbap, it was modified to be vegetarian. My friend had the japchae and he also was very happy with it. I'm not a huge fan of Korean food but this place will certainly win you over. They are currently run by a Vietnamese staff so they do offer pho and other Vientnamese items. They are located on Sunrise blvd, on the north side about a block before University. Plenty of parking so that's not an issue. Right now there is some work being done to the restaurant. While searching what to have on our weekly Friday dinner date we stumbled upon Oh Korean Bistro on yelp and I couldn't be more glad. The restaurant just opened recently, but the small space filled up while we were there! The place is quiet and inviting. Each booth feels intimate and private. We were quickly greeted upon entering by Hunmo Shin who showed us to our table and offered us ice water to start. Hunmo was very knowledgeable and helped us figure out what we wanted to try. We started with an order of beef Dumplings and they were absolutely delicious. Perfectly crispy and super flavorful. We ended up getting the dolson bibimbap and the japchae for our entrees. They were both so good. The bibimbap was super flavorful and had a little kick! Definitely authentic. The Japchae was also fantastic. A little milder in flavor compared to the bibimbap, but also very good. The noodles were perfectly cooked and delicious. But what really makes this place stand out is the service. Hunmo was waiting on all the tables by himself and yet he made sure to attend, check up on, and refill every patron that was at the restaurant. You could tell he really cared about our experience and wanted us to enjoy. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's definitely a must try in the area. We ordered the Galbi ribs (insane flavor) the Korean soy garlic fried chicken (so juicy and perfect crisp), the Beef bibimbab, and the passion fruit Sorbet (gorgeous presentation). Had the fried dumplings and garlic soy wings as appetizers, both of which were wonderful: crispy mixed beef/pork stuffed dumplings with delicious dipping sauce and wings that were large, meaty and perfectly breaded and seasoned. Our table also had the chicken bibimbab, spicy pork bulgogi, kimchi-jjigae, and galbi-jim braised beef ribs. Each was superb with the ribs being the table favorite. Some of the best Korean food I've ever eaten. Comfortable seating and casual ambiance. And the staff is extremely friendly, very informative, and efficient.
