I really enjoyed each order here . I started first ordering a few times with Uber eats and each time the food came prepped nice and fresh and plentiful. I decided to stop in one busy Saturday and though it was a wait the staff was super kind and apologetic but we all know Saturday's and bbq go hand in hand so it was BUSSSYYY. The food which I typically get is the rib dinner with 2 sides they have several items to choose as a side . They also have different meals to choose from . Cold drinks as well. The staff is kind and the food always seems to be made with care and love . I usually have horrible Uber eats experiences but this is one of the places that never misses with a good experience. I really don't know where to start! But here it goes. OMG what a BBQ joint this is. We just happened to be following our gps and saw tons of smoke and then the aroma hit us! We hadn't eaten and there was not a chance that we were not passing this up. We have two places in Raleigh and Asheville near our clinics. Since Father and Sons went out of business, BBQ places have just been average at best until Big Boy! We ordered the bbq rib sandwich and as you can see by the photo it's enormous. We ordered a side of potato salad and it was delicious! A bit sweet but we licked the bowl. I ate one-third of the sandwich and my husband ate the other two-thirds and I was still full. Such deep smoke flavors, sensational sauce and a side of their Carolina sauce that was intense and out of this world. Mama Kat's sweet potato pie was out of this world. I have been craving some good BBQ for about a week now. After one major fail and one semi failed attempt, I came across Big Boyz in the black owned business collection that was created by Blue. Finally, I was not disappointed across the board. Staff: The young lady that took my order was pleasant. She took my order, I paid and was given a ticket to pick up my food at the other window after about 20. After about 25 minutes I stood at the window and waited for someone to open it to see if it were ready. After a few minutes, they called my name and I was given my food. Seeing as to how that's really the extent of the interaction with the staff, I do not understand some of the reviews about bad customer service. You literally walk up to a window, place your order and go to another window to get your food. Atmosphere: It's literally a rib shack in a sense. A little while in the wall building. I personally love whole in the walls because they always have the best food. Food: Let's get into these SEASONED ribs. I forgot to ask for the sauce on the side but luckily they weren't too drenched and I was able to actually taste a piece without sauce. Man were my taste buds happy. I had to force myself to not eat it all. I got the rib tip dinner that came with two sides. I opted for the greens and the yams. The greens were really good. The yams were decent and I was happy that they weren't too sweet. I loved the fact that I got a good amount of meat and it did not contain any fatty pieces. It was literally all meat! And for $16, it was worth every single penny, the drive (I'm coming from Miramar) and the wait (even though the wait wasn't bad at all; about 25mins) I will definitely be back. read more

We came to Big Boyz BBQ because someone told us a woman who made cakes sold slices there that tasted heavenly. We asked if they had cake today, and found out the cake lady didn't come that Saturday. That let the wind out of our sails, but we continued our journey. We noticed a sign stating no refunds, and if an order was incorrect, the receipt has to accompany the issue. Two red flags. We never saw any bbq place or any other restaurant or food truck have a sign stating No Refunds. Going against the red flags, we placed an order. The total was $20 and some change. Instead of taking the change for $5, we asked if we could order another side to use up the entire $25 we had. No problem. They told us 20-25 minutes. Cars parked across the road, on the property, and at another business across from the property. That meant they were busy! Our order was ready in about 12 minutes! Points for that. We noticed the bag seemed "light", but didn't check it. We had more than enough time to check the order, ESPECIALLY after reading the sign. Lo and behold, we got the order home, and the potato salad was not there. Our highly-recommended advice to anyone who orders from here is to check your order before leaving the property. This goes for any food delivery service drivers too. You don't want your customer thinking you took their food when it was never there from the start. The rib tips were not that good. They had more fat than meat. The baked beans and mac & cheese were okay. No cake. No potato salad. No bueno. read more
