This review is long overdue. I've been lucky to have Rob clean the carpets at my townhouse multiple times over the past 5 years and I can't say enough about his quality of work. He's friendly, on time, easy to schedule, trustworthy, and his work quality is worth every penny. Rob cleaned my carpets about two weeks ago and did an excellent job. I've been in my apartment about 4.5 years, and the carpets were pretty funky (especially around the kitchen where there is much food/carpet interaction). Rob was able to remove all the stains in my carpet. Some years old, including pen ink. On top of that, Rob was very friendly and courteous. He helped me move some furniture to clean the carpets, went over high-traffic areas a couple times at my request, left me with some spot cleaner, provided plastic pads for the furniture, and even cleaned my area rug. All I can say is - WOW. As others have said, Rob's a super nice guy, uses organic product, and goes above and beyond. I found out he's got 12 years of experience doing this and has lived on the Westside most of his life. We got a new puppy who thought our shag rug was grass for the first few weeks that we had her. =P It got to the point where we just rolled it up so she couldn't get to it, it was so gross. I thought we might have to throw it out. Fast forward 2 months, and puppy has learned to go outside - win! And I'm starting to miss my living room rug (we have all hardwood). I'm kinda hesitant to look, since everything on the Westside is usually expensive, but I find Rob on Yelp during a quick search. Since he has rave reviews, I figure it doesn't hurt to call and just get a price quote. How much for a 5'x8' rug? He quotes me $75 (!!!). Deal! (I was bracing myself for a $100+ quote.) Rob shows up, is super friendly, and offers to clean all the other small area rugs in my living room and hallway - FOR THE SAME PRICE! (He said my one rug is actually a really small job and he'd feel bad for charging me for just that.) Who does that??? I'm now impressed. After he's all done, he tells me to call him back if the rug still smells like doggy once it dries, but he's pretty sure it won't. Nice. He stands by his work too! I actually felt kinda bad that's all he charged, given our front door is facing sideways, and he had to run his hoses quite a ways from the street to get to our house. Anyways, we will be using him again, knowing our puppy. Couldn't ask for better service for rug/carpet cleaning, and I love that I can support a small business - Rob certainly deserves it! I called Rob for an estimate for my boss's two-bedroom apartment, plus living room, and he told me $140, guaranteeing that it would be just that price, so that my boss would be able to prepare a check beforehand. Thirty minutes prior to the scheduled appointment, Rob called to notify me that his associate, Alex, was en route. A short while later, I got a call from Alex, and 1.5 hours later, the apartment was clean and, amazingly, free of any chemical odor! I didn't really about chemical materials before, but now that I know about organic carpet cleaning... My life has changed just slightly. Alex told me that the apartment would dry in 5-6 hours, and provided Styrofoam/ plastic pieces to put under furniture, and even offered me booties to walk around in afterward. He was understanding that I didn't have the check just yet, and told me at the end that they usually charge more to clean a place like this since they didn't know they also had to do the living room and bathrooms. However, Rob stood by his promised price, which I admire. Today, I got a call from him saying that they haven't received payment yet, and was again patient and understanding about the situation as I later explained that the check would be mailed out asap. When our carpet got dirty, my husband went out and rented a machine from a local grocery store. After cleaning the carpet ourselves, we were unimpressed with the results. And what was worse, the carpet got dirtier in the weeks following the cleaning. Apparently, the machine left detergent or residue on the carpet which attracted MORE dirt. We left it for a while, but our carpet looked horrible. When would spot clean after a spill or pet accident, the spot cleaned part would look so much cleaner than the surrounding carpet and left "clean spots" scattered throughout our living room. With a baby on the way, we decided to clean the carpet again and go the nontoxic route. We didn't want the baby crawling around on dirty floors or chemicals. So we found Rob's Organic Carpet Cleaning here on Yelp. So glad we did! Rob was able to give me a quote over the phone and I found it to be very reasonable. Concerned about greenwashing, I asked him about what he uses to clean the carpet. He said it a saline solution with phosphates and has no harsh chemicals. I was able to schedule something for about 4-5 days out. Then, he arrived at the appointment on-time! And finished our 2-bedroom apartment in about 1.5 - 2 hours. He used both a combination of a hose from his truck and a hand-held machine to clean the carpet. I was amazed to see how much dirt it sucked it up as he worked. The carpet now looks amazing, feels amazing, and there was no smell of chemicals (I'm pregnant and have a super sensitive nose!). Rob is a very humble, service orientated professional, who delivers excellent, on time, price-as-quoted, service. Rob explained his process, was quick, efficient and focused on doing the job. And a great job he did too. It helps of course if you have as much of your furniture out of the carpeted areas as possible ahead of Rob's visit, and Rob even offered to help me move two larger pieces - and he cleaned whilst I lifted the couches. I rarely write reviews, but Rob was so great, I have to sing his praises. I wanted a carpet in the bedroom of a rental unit cleaned. Through the years, I have had bad experiences with other carpet cleaners (who always try to upsell you, quote you one price, and then try to charge you another, etc.), that I toyed with the idea of renting a carpet cleaning machine from Ralphs and doing it myself to save money. But then I took a shot and reached out to Rob. He quoted me a rate on the phone that was so reasonable, I couldn't afford NOT to try him. Further, I was on a tight deadline and needed it cleaned by the weekend -- AND had a tough work schedule to work around -- yet Rob was incredibly accommodating and he able to squeeze me in. My trust proved well founded. Rob showed up at the exact time we scheduled, the job took even less time than he had estimated (in and out in under an hour), and the carpets look great.
