Angelico's really did their thing. I grabbed a sausage and pepperoni pizza and I'm not even gonna lie, it was on point. Perfect balance, good crust, not greasy, just straight flavor. You can tell it wasn't rushed. That's the difference. I've always said I'll take a local spot over the big chains any day. Those places be consistent, sure, but spots like Angelico's? They cook with intention. You can taste the care in it. Mom & pop spots just got that extra something you can't mass produce. Being right here in the neighborhood too, that makes it even better. Although I can't quite figure out why the pizza joints around here also serve gyros, my DD chose this for our weekly takeout for that reason. She really wanted a calzone, and I really wanted a gyro - problem solved. The online ordering was fine, other than that they revised the time it would be ready after we already paid. It was ready at the new time. She got a build-your-own calzone with prosciutto, caramelized onions, and basil. I chose a basic gyro :) I sampled a bite of her dish, and I must say the amount and flavor of the melted cheese was wonderful; gooey and so satisfying. I didn't really get much of the meat and veg, but she pronounced them decent. The calzone really was huge - enough for 2-3 meals! The dough was tasty and a good balance of crispy-chewy. As for my gyro. Well, it was OK. The meat was flavorful and there was an adequate amount of it. There were large chunks of tomato and red onion; they were both tasty, but made it a bit hard to bite. The lettuce was on the skimpy side. What really makes a difference to me is the tzatziki, and that was a disappointment. I am a real fan of the sauce when it is perky and piquant, and this was neither. DD said she might try pizza or something else from the place, but I'm a one-and-done; I don't really eat much in the way of pizza and such. read more

Pizza is just pizza. The wrap, sandwich, and quesadilla was delicious! The delivery was very fast onto meade. Food was so hot I almost burnt my tongue. I think it was grubhub who delivered, I'm sad I had to decide on a tip at the time I placed the order. The delivery guy made sure to contact me before driving off after leaving the food on my porch. We ordered two pizzas and both were cooked perfect. One was four cheese and the other was onions, green peppers, tomatoes, and fresh basil. Omg the topping pizza with fresh basil was amazing. I watched the guy sprinkle the fresh basil from a container he took from the refrigerator. Soooo tasty and topping very fresh. The cheese was equally good in its own way. The crust was airy and slightly fluffy (probably not correct term) but not dense and not doughy. I would definitely recommend and will be our goto place next year when we come to area visiting relatives for holidays. If it was close to us it would be on regular list. Where's the zero star selection??? This place is overrated and severely over-hyped. I partially think majority of these reviews are either fake or the locals do not know good food (no offense.) We ordered delivery via Eat24 and they got two of our four menu items incorrect that we ordered. And not just like small condiment errors but a whole topping (that we paid extra for) missing from our pizza and we ordered a Philly chicken sandwich and they sent a beef sandwich. In addition, the cheese on the fries was overcooked, dry, and hardened. They also delivered our ginger ale in a plastic bag with the warm food, rendering the soda lukewarm and the food warm as opposed to hot. Needless to say, I called them immediately to request they ask their delivery driver to return, pick up all the food, and issue us a full refund. Rather than apologize, the employee on the other end was more concerned about whether or not we "touched" the pizza. Yes, he literally asked "You didn't touch the pizza, right?" in a very thick accent. Although we did not and would not given that it was not what we ordered, the fact that it was a priority to him was confusing. So much for quality control, good customer service, and accountability. I called Eat24 and requested a full refund. They placed me on hold to call the pizzeria and ensure we'd returned the food. The rep then returned and said a full refund would be issued in a day or two. Needless to say, we will NEVER order from them again and ordered from another pizzeria via the Slice app. An hour later, we're hungry and awaiting our new dinner order. I just wanted to come on here and leave a review for this place. My husband and I just moved here to MD on military orders and we hate it here so far to be honest. But! Okay so our very first order was two gourmet pizzas for x$. Cool. Mine could've used a tad bit more salt, but hey easy fix. It was the margherita. My husband did the buffalo chicken and he loved that one although the wasn't fond of the onions on it. Next time we ordered calzones. Okay this is where it gets crazy. So I saw the calzone price on the menu and thought "wow that's expensive", but I had a little extra cash so I figured they might use nice ingredients idk lol. One time deal. Yolo. Anyways, I was SHOCKED when our order arrived. The calzones are HUGE! For $12.99 yes that's a fair price these things were huge. It took me a day and a half to finish mine. It was bigger than than a standard piece of copy paper. But it was warm and delicious and very much worthy of the $12.99 price tag. So yeah two good experiences so far in the bag and we will continue ordering from this joint. Also the employees are very friendly. They don't sound like you're bothering them when you call to place an order (cough cough Pizza Hut). Very friendly on the phone and very friendly when delivering food. We ordered from here for the first time tonight and were incredibly disappointed. We ordered a 3 topping calzone with green pepper onion and bacon, a medium 2 topping pizza and 2 orders of French fries. The calzone was inedible, the bacon was raw and the caramelized onions were old and slimey. The pizza was pretty good however we ordered double pepperoni there was just a regular amount of pepperoni on it. The fries were definitely baked instead of fried and combined with the styrofoam packaging they were soggy, barely cooked floppy mess. Overall for 50.00 this was a pretty abysmal meal. Plenty of other places in the area with far better food for cheaper. read more

Just ordered delivery. Time was reasonable and as quoted. 10 'buffalo wings', meatball 'grinder' and medium pizza was about $36. (Free little bag of chips - weird). Wings arent really good, come UNCOATED (yes, you read that right - buffalo wings that dont actually come w sauce on them - its on the side). The meatball 'sub' came on some sort of pita (?!?!). Bread ended up tasting ok, but in general, grinder was just ok. Meduim pizza was about 12" tasted fine (though my husband says papajohns is better). Would have 'left the restaurant', left or replaces the food and not have paid full price, but it was delivery. A disapointment. Wont order again. read more

This is my go to place whenever i have a craving for the roasted eggplant sandwich. Omg its soooo delicious. It kinda reminds me of my favorite meditarrian sandwich but only with eggplant .The bread they use is like a cibatta bread. It comes with a bag of chips. It's a little bit on the expensive side. About $8.00 for the sandwich and chips but i really like it so i get it anyway. Oh and it's a very hearty sandwich. I could only eat half at a time. The mushroom sandwich is good to so I've been told by one of my coworkers. Oh and btw i am not a vegetarian but just like those particular sandwiches. One of the more irritating things about living in Severn is that there's hardly any quality food places for delivery in the area. This is one of the few that are worth the call, although I'm not going so far as to say that it would be my FIRST choice. It's just... okay for what it is. The lasagna is probably the best dish that they make. It's plentiful in meat and cheese and pasta, although I wish they'd season it a lot more with some good Italian spices. But it's not bad. I always have to request that they hold back on the tomato sauce, though, because they'll drown it if you allow them to. It comes with a little slice of garlic flatbread that is actually pretty damned good. Cheese and all. Not too shabby. They do offer traditional Italian desserts such as cannoli and tiramisu, though I think they might get those from Vaccaro's. No matter - a Vaccaro's cannoli is great whether I get it there or from a place like this. Delivery personnel, that's hit or miss. I've had drivers who were decent and some who were just downright crabby. There's one older guy that I would pay NOT to come around. All in all.... I order from here because there's a lack of better options in the area. It's a shame, because Angelico could improve if they step up their game. Spices, guys.... spices! read more

There is an Angelico in DC in Tenleytown near my office and I love the food. The price has increased at that restaurant so much that I thought I'd buy from home to reheat for lunch and save almost $4.00! I've ordered two or three times some the start of the year. Delivery seems to be slow. Last night my order was half hour late so I called. The "owner" yelled at me numerous times saying Menufy gives false times for delivery (I was given a 45 minute window at 7 pm). I requested a discount and I got yelled at again. He said Menufy provides they own drivers and he has no control over the drivers. When my meal finally arrived I asked the driver of he was a third party driver or one employed by the restaurant. He said he is employed by the restaurant. I told him I spent time on the phone with the "owner" and that I was yelled at. He said he hears the owner yelling at customers at the time. While the food is great I will not order for delivery again. I don't deserve to be yelled at because my order isn't completed at the promised time. I will go in and order it so I know exactly when I've placed the order and know exactly when it is ready. read more

Hands down, Angelico's makes the best pizza in the Odenton vicinity. Our favorites are the Sicilian (with prosciutto, olives, tomatoes, olive oil) and the margherita (fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil). They also make standard pizzas. The calzones are also wonderful, but be warned -- they are HUGE. Usually, I can pound back a calzone and look around for dessert. In this case, my wife & I have never been able to actually finish one together. For appetizers, make sure you try the Mediterranean combo -- it has hummus and this roasted pepper/sundried tomato stuff that's spicy and tangy and wonderful. Welp, the pizza was pretty good but the service was one of the most horrendous restaurant experiences I have ever had. I ordered from Angelico's using Eat24, selecting two medium pizzas with two toppings for $19.99. My order was one BBQ chicken pizza with spinach and roasted red peppers and one Philly cheese steak pizza with Gorgonzola cheese and black olives. When my food arrived 45 minutes later, I noticed that there did not appear to be any meat on them, so I assumed maybe it was buried under the cheese, as I had never eaten here before. Upon cutting into the pizza and actually taking a bite I realized there were only my toppings....what? Mind you, when I selected my two medium pizzas online, I ONLY had the option to choose a specific type of pizza before adding my toppings. No big deal, I figured it was a misunderstanding. So I called the manager, only to be told that the Eat24 order page was incorrect stating that the medium pizza was a different category and they just had to have types of pizza on the order form to build from. So basically when I thought I was getting a BBQ chicken pizza with my toppings, I actually only got the toppings and no BBQ chicken. Again, worse things have happened (like Dumb and Dumber To). The manager, who I later found out is actually the owner, told me that he could come get the incorrect pizzas and replace them with the specialty pizzas with the same toppings for an increase in price. I guess that was kind of a red flag, I really felt like I shouldn't be paying extra here but I went with it. After another 20 minute wait, my new pizza had arrived! I handed in the old pizza and took the new ones, straight to the dinner table with ye! I really wish I would have looked at the pizza before that driver left.....wrong pizza again. *ring ring* Time to call the manager again ughhhh.... I was pretty upset at this point. I told him that I got the incorrect pizzas again and I wanted what we had discussed on the phone. After some arguing about who said what, he said that he would come get the pizzas and exchange them for the correct ones we had discussed on the phone....at an increased cost of course. At that point I had had it, So I let him know that I did not want the incorrect pizza and I would be ordering elsewhere, when I asked about a refund and/or giving this pizza back he told me I had to contact Eat24 about canceling the order.......Seriously, I just wanted pizza =/ tl:dr After an hour total, I was given the wrong pizza twice, paid extra for the second delivery and was awarded no refund, lame. read more

So I would suggest sticking to online ordering. Every time that I've ordered online, my food has been perfect and it tastes amazing! But going there is a bit of a hassle. I decided to go there instead of ordering online because I was around the area and it'd be a lot easier. So I get there and place an order for 2 slices of cheese pizza and a piece of chocolate cake. My total came out to around $14-$15. I was extremely confused and made sure that all I got was 2 slices of pizza and a piece of cake. The guy reassured me that it was correct so I sat down and waited for my food. It took almost 15 minutes to come out and at that point I almost asked for a refund. When I finally got home, I checked what I got to see 2 small pizzas. Yes, they gave me two small cheese pizzas. Ordered take out from a local hotel after hearing how good the food was. Was called to the front desk about 10 mins after I ordered and was surprised, but it was the wrong order. The delivery driver barely spoke English, and asked me if I wanted the bottle of Pellegrino that came with the other order. I accepted, thinking it was some sort of consolation prize. He put me on the phone with the manager who apologized and confirmed my order was on the way. Fast fwd 15 mins and my order came, and the new delivery driver insisted that I pay for the Pellegrino, though I really wanted the two bottles of water that I ordered. He told me it would be $3. I didn't feel like filling out a new credit card slip, so agreed to exchange the 2 bottles of water for the Pellegrino. I paid $3.50 for the two bottles of water, and come to find out that the Pellegrino on the menu is $2.25. Now for the food: I ordered a greek salad and for $3.25, added grilled chicked to it. The food quantity was decent, although the chicken was not much at all. The quality of the salad was so-so. Nothing great, not bad....edible. Nowhere near enough dressing. After I completed my order I asked for an eta on it and the person said "I don't know long" I asked for an eta and he still said "I don't know long" so since I didn't get any time frame I cancelled it who knew when it would get delivered. I understand it was super bowl Sunday but I still was not given any time frame. I called them because they charged my card and I asked about my refund and he says to me" you're not allowed to order here from again" what kind of customer service is that, first you can't give me any sort of time frame for my order and then deny my service here. I can't begin to fathom why Angelico's isn't rated at least 4 stars especially when you consider the other tragic options for not only pizza but delivery period in Odenton. Yes, Angelico's is a bit pricey but I can get over that because everything I have ever ordered has been delicious and filling. I cannot say the same for Pizza Bolis, Dominos, Deno's, Pizza Hut, Pomodoro, Papa John's, Hunan Odenton, Today's Pizza, or any of the other horrific chains I have ordered food from in the past. Right now my favorite thing to order from Angelico's is the chicken Caesar salad wrap with bacon. It actually comes on a pita and it is sooooo delicious and while the bacon is an extra charge, they give you plenty of it. My favorite pizza is the Mediterranean one. I'm also in love with their take on a Philly cheesesteak which, I warn you is nothing like the traditional philly cheesesteak so if you are a purist, don't try it. My only complaints are that sometimes the customer service is not the best but I think most of the staff is wonderful and that they never give enough marinara to dip the calzones which are HUGE. I can't begin to understand how someone could say they are bland and flavorless. That is a complain I have about most places in Maryland but not Angelico's.
