Though our server was a little... airy making mistakes that would've added extra costs the food was delicious! For apps we had the Yuca fries. It had a crunchy exterior and soft cheesy interior, paired with two refreshing sauces. My mom enjoyed the Rasta pasta which had a slight numbing spice, and filled with all kinds of meats, it was very filling. Pasta was slightly over cooked but tasted even better the next day! I called ahead about a little over a week ago to make a dinner reservation for a party of 22. The staff was great, from making the reservation to reconfirming the morning of the dinner. When I arrived with some of my dinner guests, we still had a wait before we were escorted to a private room. We encountered an issue with one of the servers and I had to request to speak with a manager. Rachel came over and we spoke about the unfortunate situation we were having. Rachel apologized and worked to get us someone else to take care of us. After that, we settled in and enjoyed the rest of our dinner. I ordered the Beef Empanadas, the Tequila Sunburn Glazed Salmon (comes with Mashed Sweet Potato and Green Beans) and a Dragon Fruit Margarita. The Dragon Fruit Margarita was delicious. I didn't want to get full before receiving my food so I took sips while we waited. It was hard not drinking it all too quickly. It was good. It was served in a glass with a sugar coated rim and lime wedge. The Beef Empanadas are an all-time favorite and never disappoints. I couldn't eat all my food so I packaged the rest to go. I was presented with a glass of ice cream topped with whipped cream and cherries. A candle perfectly placed in the ice cream was lit and waiting for me to make a birthday wish and blow out the flame. The night was not over yet. After dinner, we went outside and sat to listen to the live steel pan music. It was a wonderful way to end the evening. This particular Bahama Breeze is in the touristy part of Orlando, but it has always been a good location as clients coming into Orlando have suggested here for a meeting. The service was always friendly and while the food is standard for a national chain where consistency is more focused on than creating an outstanding dish, it was always good. After a day of shopping we decided to stop by Bahama Breeze for a few drinks and appetizers. When we walked in they offered us to sit inside or outside seating where they had live music available. We opted for inside this day. Our waitress greeted us and took our orders and in a timely manner served us our drinks and appetizers. Today we ordered the Beef Empanadas, Chicken Tostones, and Crab and 3 Cheese Dip. All the appetizers came out pretty quickly and were hot. The empanadas were super stuffed with meat, so every bite had meat in it. They really loaded the tostones with toppings and chicken, so after eating a few you felt full. Solid location not far from a tourist area. We've been here a handful of times when we're around for activities nearby. We've done both regular seating and bar seating. Staff is friendly and quick to get out orders and drinks. They gave a large parking lot and plenty of space inside. Although it can get busy, there is rarely a long wait, which is nice! I fell in love with Bahama Breeze on previous visits to Orlando, so I was disappointed that both of my visits this time around were just 'meh.' The food was mostly good (yum to the pineapple bowls and Bahamarita drinks, just average on the salad and empanadas, pass on the tostones appetizer), the service is so-so (average service speed, not a lot of attention once you've received your food). And I was sad to learn the plantain sliders are no longer on the menu -- those were the best. I am jealous of the other reviews here that received excellent service. Wish that was me and my family's experience. I called the day before to make a reservation for Tuesday 6/18 at 6pm for a party of 7 with a wheelchair. We arrived a little before 6 and had to wait almost 10mins before being seated. I believe our servers name was Sari. She was kind but extremely forgetful. I enjoy seafood so I was excited to dine here and experience the Caribbean vibe. I asked Sari if the fish was wild caught or farm raised. She responded with "it comes from the ocean". When she realized I was still waiting for an answer she said she would ask. Upon her return she said that they receive such a large amount of fish that it's no way to really know where it's from but it's fresh from the ocean... even my 7yr old nephew was baffled by her response! Please educate your staff lol She forgot my mom's drink and we think that she forgot to send our food order to the kitchen. We were watching other people that arrived later receive orders so I asked a different server about our order and my mom's drink. She brought her drink right over and apologized for our wait. She said a manager would be over to speak with us. When our food finally came everyone that ordered fries had cold fries. My nephews didn't care and just ate them but my sister asked our server if she could have some fresh fries. She was kind enough to bring a large order of hot fries to the table. I got a gift card from work, so I took advantage of dinner on a Sunday night. I didn't have much trouble finding a parking spot on Sunday 6:30pm. When I arrived, I was greeted immediately. I thought about seating in the bar, and it wasn't crowded at all. I told the bartender that I wanted the Cubano Mojito (11 dollars). It came with lime and sugarcane. It wasn't as strong as the mojitos that I had in other Bahama Breeze restaurants, but it was still good and had an ample buzz. For my entree, I wanted the paella (25 dollars). It was filling with plenty of pieces of fish, shrimp, mussels, scallops, chicken, and sausage. Unfortunately, the shrimp weren't deshelled, and one of the mussels was still shut. After mentioning that to my bartender, he immediately threw that mussel away and had the kitchen provide me a replacement. I ended up getting three more, which was a nice gesture. I was able to save half for lunch the next day. I had a coupon for free dessert, so I took advantage of the chocolate island, which had a nice chocolately mousse on a chocolate ganache. There was whipped cream on top with pecans. It did take a while to get it, but it was worth it. I was able to save some the next day as well. The service was friendly and very helpful. However, it was pretty casual and busy. It took a while to get the chocolate mousse that I thought they forgot it. I even paid my bill before it came. When mentioning to my bartender, he admitted that he forgot to check, and a couple minutes later, the brought it. The bartender was also very nice to make conversation, and pack up my food into the bag. The atmosphere is touristy casual, and I noticed that rap and r&b music were in the background. Unfortunately, there was no live music when I went, but that have live music other days. Outdoor seating was available as well. While this branch wasn't as good as the I drive or Kissimmee locals, it was still a nice place. The food and drink was still good, and the service was nice. I would have enjoyed live music on a Sunday, but I will try again on Saturday instead. I wish there was a waterfall at least for more ambiance. But this was the closest location near my parents house and still a nice choice. read more

After a long day at Universal Studios we were all starving and tired so we were happy to find this place that was close and could seat 5 people right away! Let me tell you something I was hesitant to come back here after an awful experience a few weeks ago. But I missed the crab dip, had a rough day at work, and decided to give it another shot. I'm so glad I did. I was seated quickly, the host was gracious, and within seconds, the most beautiful, friendliest smile appeared at my table Mayra! I've visited bahama breeze before for happy hour and tried nearly all the appetizers so I was excited to try some dinner items. It wasn't terrible but wasn't anything outstanding. The food came off as premade microwaved food. The best part of the meal was the skillet jerk shrimp that seemed to be cooked to order and the server was very nice but it was a slow night so I would've thought more effort would go into the dinner entrees.
