Justin moisson and Ashley for making my dish(the jerk shrimp). I'm so sad it's closing but I love them for making it for me. Especially for my birthday. Truly couldn't ask for better customer service. Justin is a king. Bahama #4lyfe

Seafood paella was recommended by waitress ... really bad choice and it's our first time at this restaurant while visiting Orlando. Very salty, not good presentation at all... chicken pieces look like the Cook didn't want to cut them up into bite size lol. It looked really bad and I ate about a 1/4 of the plate... only because I was really hungry. No comments from the waitress and we didn't ask for any adjustments either but want to warn anyonee visiting town.

This place is consistently good, no matter which location we eat at, and the food is almost always the same. Bahama Breeze is always a must stop whenever we're in FL, and we cross our fingers one day that they'll open up one of these up North!

Shrimp Pineapple Bowl

I fell in love with Bahama Breeze on previous visits to Orlando, so I was disappointed that both of my visits this time around were just 'meh.' The food was mostly good (yum to the pineapple bowls and Bahamarita drinks, just average on the salad and empanadas, pass on the tostones appetizer), the service is so-so (average service speed, not a lot of attention once you've received your food). And I was sad to learn the plantain sliders are no longer on the menu -- those were the best. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place to get drinks and beat the heat, but don't know that it's as amazing as it was on my previous visits.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Jerk Mahi Mahi Not great IMO

Appetizer jerk shrimp just mediocre Curry Pork chops cooked great didn't care for chutney on top but chops were made to perfection Our virgin pineapple drinks were delicious Mahi mahi not great at all Service was good Q was our server she was pleasant and attentive and she knew her menu and our order without writing it down

Had a good visit for lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant is clean and well kept.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My son loves the strawberry lemonade here. I love the Bahamarita because it is sweet, frozen drink full of flavors. My son loves the macaroni and cheese. We also really liked the lobster and shrimp fettuccine. Huge serving size and it was very full of seafood. We loved the creamy sauce. Moderately priced restaurant food for families with a beachy, island vibe.

OMG this place is amazing. Definitely my go to place ,,,,10 out of 10! I really hate that I've learned of the future closing of this restaurant, this saddens me!! The service is always great even though they get very busy! I'm gonna miss getting my Bahama mama..... The drinks and food are always top-tier at a wonderful price.

Pleasantly surprised by how good this place was! The flavors of this fish were very tropical and delicious. The drinks were fruity and yummy. I'd highly recommend if you're in there area.

Bahama breeze's happy hour is great! Half price apps and reasonably priced drinks! What more can you ask for? We got the shrimp appetizer and the beef empanadas (ask for extra seasoned sour cream) it's so good! We ordered a burger and of course a bahamarita. If you have never been it is not authentic Caribbean food it is Americanized but there is something there for everyone and I would definitely recommend going during happy hour times to try many apps for half price

I recently went to Orlando for a conference, and while we spent the majority of our time in a large…read moreresort and convention center, the leadership of the organization hosting the conference hosted a special dinner in one of the reservable ballrooms at the Cuba Libre Restaurant. I believe it may have been the Havana Ballroom. There was plenty of food, drinks, and mingling. The Cuba Libre Restaurant staff were great, and the venue was well laid out and worked for this event very well. When we arrived around 6:30 PM on a Saturday evening for our event, we first mingled around the tables and near the cash bar. There were a bunch of large tables that we began to fill out. As our program began and announces made and awards given out, appetizers were passed out. We were offered Guacamole Cubano, Mama Amelia's Empanadas, and Shrimp Cocktail which we passed around to the entire table. Personally, I skipped the guacamole and shrimp dishes but absolutely loved the empanadas. Yum! Then, an individual Cuban House Salad was passed out with red wine vinaigrette. This was also quite tasty. Next came the entrees including a choice of Salmon Paradiso, Ropa Vieja, Citrus Chicken, or Paella Vegetariana. I was trying to decide between the Ropa Vieja (beef brisket) and the Citrus Chicken. While the Citrus Chicken sounded perfect, I asked the serving staff their advice, and they recommended the Ropa Vieja for a true taste of Cuba. I was happy that I did even though it may have been more heavy and with a kick than I was expecting. I'm still glad I ordered it though. It was wonderfully prepared! And then, everyone received Cuban Flan for dessert. The Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar celebrates Cuban heritage and explores Cuban flavors, music, art, and traditions. The mission of the restaurant is to provide an "escape" to Havana through exciting food and beverages and entertainment experiences to celebrate the Cuban people and their culture. Orlando hosts one of several of this restaurant around the United States. This restaurant is in the midst of the Pointe Orlando. You can find details on their website: https://cubalibrerestaurant.com/en/orlando. You can find menus, entertainment, blogs, make reservations, specials, and more. The Cuba Libre Restaurant is open for brunch on weekends from 12 PM to 4 PM, for dinner Monday through Thursday from 5 PM to 10 PM, Friday from 5 PM to 10:30 PM, Saturday from 4 PM to 10:30 PM, and Sunday from 4 PM to 10 PM. Happy Hour is at the bar and bar tables on weekdays from 5 PM to 6 PM and weekends from 4 PM to 6 PM. They have a special Chef's Tasting menu during dinner. They also host weekend nightlife and shows on Fridays with a live band from 7:30 PM to 12:15 AM and a DJ and dancing from 10 PM to 2 AM on both Fridays and Saturdays. It was certainly a great event and a fun place to be!

I was visiting Orlando and I have a lot of friends and family here. My niece took us here for lunch with high praises of the place. I was excited since I haven't eaten good Dominican outside of the few dishes I've learned how to make over the years. We arrived and immediately began to order. There were a lot of us so I will only review what I ate. I ordered a small sancocho to start. It was ok, but was seriously devoid of seasoning. From the start you could tell they were playing it safe with the flavors. Trying to appease as many tongues as they could. I hadn't had sancocho in a very long time, so I was seriously disappointed. For my main course I ordered the monfongo with pernil. Where the sancocho lacked flavor the monfongo and pernil over reached. It was crazy salty. Like way too salty. I could only get through a few spoonfuls before I called it quits. I then turned to some of my wife's rice and beans and was right back to flavorless. About the only thing that tasted even was the chicharon de pollo. But even that was lack luster. It's always hard to find a good Dominican food restaurant. I will keep searching but till then I guess I will just continue to hone my skills at cooking it at home. The atmosphere itself was good. Sort of a mid-stage afternoon spot. Nice, clean, nothing too trendy or new. Just an average spot. If you have never had Dominican food this may be the spot for you. Something safe so you aren't over whelmed by flavors. If you grew up on it like me, I feel you will be disappointed.

It comes with a choice of meat and enough sides to guarantee you'll have leftovers. The restaurant itself is always clean and has upbeat music and may have you dancing while you wait for your food. A lot of love was put into cooking all the food, just like going to your grandma's house for gathering. As for the staff, they make sure you get a generous portion on the food you picked. Their service is great and fast, but more importantly their food is mouth watering good. It always leaves me with a craving to come back and a full stomach ready to tackle the rest of my workday. My favorites have consisted of a Cuban sandwich which is full of pork and sauce and toasted nicely. It also does not fall apart when eating which is a plus when you are trying to stay looking presentable. Their pork is amazingly juicy and just falls apart in your mouth and has been worth every stain I have accidentally caused on my dress shirts. The white rice is fluffy and simple and good but their yellow rice is much better with many items. Their chicharron de cerdo is crispy and breaks easy and it's never been hard or chewy. Their ropa vieja is also delicious and I can't help but devour the entire plate. The rice and beans paired real good with this! My favorite sides have been the avocado salad and their macaroni salad! Both very light and balanced well with light citrus flavors in the avocado salad. I'll keep coming back here because the food honestly reminds me of so many great dishes my family use to make at home and after eating at so many places around Orlando I had yet to find a better place to get Spanish food like this!

It is a Latin American grill restaurant specializing in arepas and, bonus, the World Cup game with Argentina was on all the TVs. I wasn't sure what to get as a lot of items sounded interesting and then my husband noticed the Parrilla Mixta menu items - basically a sampler platter of various items on the menu for people to share. Sold! We got the smallest one, the Parrilla Llanera, and there is also one larger plus a surf and turf with a whole fish and other seafood in addition to the meats. We chose the picanha for our meat and Congri rice as our side. We asked for water to drink and the server brought a flask of water plus limes and lime juice! It was really nice and my husband said he felt like we were sitting outside at a restaurant in Latin America. The whole restaurant was decorated for the World Cup with different flags and soccer balls everywhere. There's also a full bar in the back corner, as well as seating outside. The platter came and it looked amazing. Besides the picanha and grilled chicken, it came with chorizo, mini arepas, guasacaca (a Venezuelan guacamole), and Cachapas (sweet corn pancakes with shredded cheese). Everything was delicious, the meats with a great charcoal grill flavor. Plus, we got chimichurri and a yummy Venezuelan hot sauce too. I would definitely come back to get this dish again.

I live close, so have come here quite a bit over the year…read more Pro- Just got renovated, so it looks pretty. The staff is nice, and the food is good. They also have lunch specials, which is nice. Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

All the components went well together and the fried thicker cuts/chunks of arepas were delicious! Price: 4.5/5 For Orlando prices, it wasn't bad at all.
