My dinner at the Palm was so awesome we went there twice, two nights in a row! I got the 18 ounce New York strip, medium well, unbelievably delicious. Asparagus, awesome. Baked potato, the best. Meatball appetizer, delicious, well seasoned. Cheesecake and Tiramisu both awesome. The only thing that kind of sucks is this whole bottle Diet Coke thing. That's non-sense. We want delicious, well mixed, well carbonated Diet Cokes. Other than that, everything was awesome. The server we had both nights was Joyce. This chick is on fire! Palm Orlando is the best. Overall, we had a good experience and I'd rate it about 3.5 out of 5 stars. The service was friendly and the staff was very accommodating with our large party, which we really appreciated. The ambiance was also nice and created a pleasant atmosphere for dinner. The food was good, and one helpful thing to know is that the menu is served à la carte, so sides are not included with the entrées and must be ordered separately. I didn't realize that before visiting, but the side portions are generous and large enough for two people to share. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience with solid service and a nice setting, though there is still some room for improvement.

A Legacy Reimagined: Mixed Experiences at The Palm Post-Landry's Acquisition I've been a loyal Palm patron for nearly 4 decades, with family ties dating back even further. This review reflects my third dining experience since Landry's took over. Initially, I was disappointed to learn about the takeover and the loss of my accumulated 837 Club loyalty points, which weren't transferable to Landry's loyalty program. A $25 membership offer didn't fully alleviate the impact. That all was immediately after the pandemic shutdowns, so could have been much worse news to learn, and we still gave a couple of more goes to see if the allure could be recaptured. Next visit left little to remember, other than the par able rolls from the first post pandemic visit were still a thing. Not even the good kind, the kind you expect to be mass produced by Sysco. My recent 20-year anniversary dinner highlighted both positives and negatives. The atmosphere was largely unchanged, but service was inconsistent. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, but the back waiter seemed inexperienced. We waited 5-7 minutes for seating, and table maintenance was lacking. Food was a mixed bag. First, the bread situation changed again and is now a sorta kind of focaccia with an oil and cherished red pepper flake set up. Very weird choice by the chefs, but ok. Wasn't anything to sore home about and if your gonna do a focaccia, then at least make it in house as it's super easy to pump out for any kitchen. I digress and still miss the original artisan bread selections and homemade butter, but life goes on I suppose. The new crab cake recipe was mediocre and not sure if the odd bread crumbs were air fried or what, but definitely not the original pan seared prep and set up and far, but the quality and taste of the crab itself were superb. The Oso Buco was a bit confusing and hidden by way too many pasta pearls which was disappointing, while the Palm Duo was cooked to a perfect medium as requested and tasted like the original seasoned streaks. My lobster tail was also tasty and cooked perfectly, however I do suspect that I was more like a 5oz, maybe 6oz tail and not the advertised 8oz. Still great though. The 4-tiered chocolate cake was dry and crumbling, likely several days old, considering they comped it for our anniversary, can't complain too much. The marinated cherries on the side though, were simply heavenly and the serve snuck me a few extras, so that's a huge plus. Wine selection was limited and seriously disappointed that after easily 100 visits in my adult lifetime, they remove my go to dessert accompaniment, the 5 Putanyos Royal Tokaj Aszu. It's Not the best Aszu, but certainly the most widely higher end brand available in the USA. Will just have to wait for my Aszu fix this summer when I'm back in Tokaj. However, the 2023 Caymus Cab was a highlight, especially at only a $100 for a one liter edition for the 100 years of Palm promo. While very young still, after it breathed a bit, it lived up to the Caymus name and a bottle worthy of throwing into my collection to age for another 5-10 years for optimal drinking. Oh, the sides: Creamed spinach and potatoes Au gratin. Both are new recipes and were so so compared to the originals. Had some leftovers and they definitely tasted better for lunch the next day. Post-dining, I received two calls from the Palm, but the feedback process felt insincere. Overall, The Palm under Landry's shows potential, but needs refinement to recapture its former excellence and continue to live up to the price point expectations. As a restaurant consultant, my standards may be higher than most, but for this legacy institutional name, I'd be happy to help them address these issues and restore the brand's reputation, but that is up to their powers that be. In the meantime, all we can do is wish them the well and hope for best. We shall see.

Fine dining at all the top levels! Our food, the service, setting was all spectacular for expectations of The Palm or any fine dining. The Thick-Cut Steakhouse Bacon appetizer was a great start, similar to other places as a "pork belly" cut but seasoned well with an amazing sauce side. We lucked on a whole lobster special and add on filet to share. Everything was perfectly cooked, plated, & presented. The manager provided an excellent wine suggestion that greatly complemented the meal. Our server provided excellent timed service and attention for a special meal.

We came here for a Christmas meal, as a party of 7 (five adults and two children). Our reservation was at 2:45pm, so it was a late lunch/early dinner. The restaurant was decorated lovely for the holidays, and the staff was friendly and responsive. The food, however, was not very tasty. We ordered LOTS of food, including several items not pictured (i.g., black truffle risotto, lobster bisque, carrot cake, tiramisu, wedge salad, mashed potatoes, chicken parm, an Arnold Palmer and an espresso martini). Only the 6yo liked her meal. The 4yo complained that the chicken tenders were spicy. All of the adults rated their food as "just okay" and the desserts as not good. The carrot cake was reportedly dry and the tiramisu was lacking. It was almost completely missing the ladyfinger layer. The portion sizes were good and our waiter was excellent. We also ran into an issue attempting to purchase a gift card with the holiday bonus special. The manager took care in speaking with us and explaining the issue. Given that no one truly enjoyed their meal, I'd opt for a different restaurant over this one. I'm certain we could have found food people enjoyed at a lower price point.

You can't have a bad meal at The Palm. This was the best steak I've had in a very long time. My only complaint is that they don't offer dry-aged beef. I ordered the New York strip Oscar style, and it was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, tender, and everything you'd want from a great steak. We also ordered the steak carpaccio and the thick-cut steakhouse bacon. The bacon quite literally melts in your mouth and is absolutely divine. For sides, the hash browns are an absolute must. We also tried the corn Cacio e Pepe, which was fantastic and a fun twist on a classic. The service truly stood out and elevated the entire experience. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed without ever being intrusive. From start to finish, everything was seamless and professional. I can't wait to come back next year when I'm back in Orlando.

Hmmm, so we came here for our anniversary dinner. Our server was fantastic. I mean the entire experience was great. They gave us a cute little happy anniversary card. The wine I ordered was good too. But let's talk about the meal So I'm an idiot and didn't tell them about my allergies. No worries, they quickly replaced my meal and didn't make me feel like the idiot I was. The shrimp was massive! The wine sauces was amazing. I'd come here again. Thanks for the great vibes. Maybe next time they will have a picture of me on the wall.

Massive meatball! My son's favorite app.

We go to The Palm at Universal's Hard Rock Hotel a few times a year. We always go on my birthday and they never disappoint! Joyce was our server last night and she was amazing. Dinner is always spot on. I always get a steak and my husband gets the sea bass. And a special shout out to the bartender that made the perfect Jack and Coke. The team made my birthday dinner really special as they always do!

TLDR: I left here full, had a great time and the meal tasted good so what I'm about to say might be considered "first world problems" but there is too much competition around Orlando for chain steakhouses to be dropping the ball on basic issues, especially at high end steakhouse prices. Service here was top notch, though. The ambiance here gave me steakhouse vibes, and was also loud as there were lots of kids at nearby tables. People on vacation I assume, most wearing casual wardrobe, probably staying at the attached Hard Rock Hotel. It was pretty chilly inside so be sure to bring your sweater just in case. Started with a Meatball appetizer, this was 1 large meatball for sharing and it was very VERY good and flavorful. Probably the best I've ever had! We split this among 2 people. Bread basket - good selection of rolls & pretzel bread sticks served with butter. We liked it. Wedge Salads are shareable between 2. Caesar seemed a little smaller. Caesar was a little bland, wedge a bit better. Dinner dropped the score a notch. Filets were not cooked as ordered (medium orders were delivered med rare) and one was super tough. I've had my share of filets so I know when it's "off." Mentioned to the manager and he immediately replaced and rushed a new one out. This new one was delicious. The chicken parm didn't knock our socks off, pasta side was bland, Mac & cheese and asparagus (grilled not steamed) were good sides. After dinner, coffee was so cold it didn't melt the sugar. Again, they rushed out a hot coffee which was better. Overall, service was excellent all the way through and they offered a slice of carrot cake at the end of the meal as a nice gesture. The cake was excellent, def top 5. Management and the wait staff tried to make things right which we appreciated. Because of that, if we're in the area again, we would consider returning to see if our first experience was a one-off.

It was just good top to bottom. The menu was diverse enough for all tastes. There was a good variety of steaks, italian, etc. I ended going with the Alfredo, which was absolutely delicious, but I knew I should have went for a dish with more red sauce. The Alfredo sauce was incredible, albeit a little watery. The picture may not show it well, but there was a scoop of it right on top of the chicken, and it was really good. Next time that's what I'm having. The bread and butter were mind blowing though. Something about a garlic butter on a warm piece of bread is so incredibly hard to beat. I did have their "Delmonico's Margarita". Which is just their version of an italian marg. It was enjoyable, but for the price point of $17.95, I was expecting a little more in both taste and size.
