Came to Rolling Hills Casino for a short getaway from the City. We always look forward to having a meal at Rock & Brews. This review is not on the food and brews that never disappoint. This rave review is for Matt the manager and our server Naomi that kick butt. It was a super busy Wednesday evening. All the servers were doing double time (with a smile). I was intrigued to hear about a place like this in quiet, little Corning and finally had the opportunity to go there. It's nice that there's finally another place to go to and have a meal after hitting the slots or attending a concert or other event the casino has planned. There's music, which could be turned down, I'm not removing a star, because I'm sure a simple complaint will fix that. Other than the volume level, it adds to the whole atmosphere of the restaurant. That, along with the décor, kept me feeling entwined in the environment and entertained while I waited for my food (I ordered a hamburger, well done, my preference, and a Caesar salad) to be served. They say dining out shouldn't only be eating, but also something more - an experience that'll leave you feeling satisfied and wanting to return. Well I received such an experience and I'll certainly come back. Now, the food! The meat in my burger was juicy and the lettuce and tomato in it were fresh and crunchy, the cheese and sauce were evenly balanced and not overpowering and the Caesar salad was also delicious - very green and refreshing. The dressing was a little sour for my taste, but just a tiny bit. The service was fine, got refills when needed. I left feeling happy and full! Well, that's all for this review. We had the BBQ sampler and the margarita pizza. Both excellent. The cornbread...the best thing ever. It was busy but we got our food quickly and our server was great. I wish I remembered her name but she was super nice and went out of her way to make you happy. read more

Food was amazing, asked cooks name... James! Excellent work in the food department. Burger was done to perfection as was the salad. The only issue i had as a girls night out was the bartender, Ana was as rude and as unprofessional as they come. I've been in many dive bars and 5 star establishments but have never encountered a bartender with such animosity and unwillingness to perform her job. Her facial expressions show exactly how displeased she was to be working. Get someone behind the bar that enjoys serving! We were served the wrong drinks multiple times, and when addressed it was made out to be our groups fault. We've been to Rock & Brews in El Segundo on several previous occasions and comparing the two locations, we prefer the So Cal loc just for quality of meals. Rolling Hills R&B is inside the casino and is a nice place to relax and have a meal. Staff was friendly and greeted us promptly. We enjoyed a turkey sandwich, the boneless wings, pulled pork sandwich, and a bbq chicken pizza. The wings were tasty and had plenty of sauce. The pulled pork was good and the pizza tasted great but both could have used a little more sauce. The turkey sandwich was good too. Topping it off was a really good brownie sundae. My personal fav was the "Shapeshifter" wheat beer! read more

Food was below par. If your going to charge for good food. Please produce it. Grainy cheese for the pretzels. Pulled pork tasted like it was cooked a month ago and reheated 4 times. Fry's were rubber. Cob salad was brown wilted lettuce. Server would just leave mid sentence on an order. And understood little English. I've eaten better food at a dive bar that looked horrible. They atmosphere is cool. That's the only bright spot here. Should have had a hot dog at the gas station. read more

Cant believe what just happened... we ordered potato skins, house dinner salad and a chicken sandwich with fries to share. The potato skins were terrible with slimy candied bacon on top. I ate one of the four pieces and my husband ate one bite and he knew they weren't worth eating. Without prompting or asking her to comp us the waitress said she couldn't take them off the tab because we ate part of it. How do you know you don't like something until you taste it? She said she'd send the manager over to talk to us. We waited about 15 minutes before we decided to leave without eating our dinner and told the hostess the manager could find us in space 10 in the RV park if he or she wants to speak to us. About 30 minutes later security was at our door requesting $11 for the margarita I drank. My husband tried to give them a $100 just to be difficult. Guess what, they had no change, lol. read more

Decided to come back and try again while we were in town Friday night. Totally surpassed our expectations. We made reservations and glad we did, they were busy. We were seated immediately and our server Ashley greeted us and took our drink orders. I got the pineapple jalapeño margarita and fiancé got their blonde ale and a wheat ale. The margarita was yummy and beer smooth and tasty. I really wanted to try their pretzel so we ordered that right away while we looked at menu. We ended up ordering a pizza to share and when the pretzel came it was WAY bigger than I was expecting we ended up sharing it and only eating a few pieces of the pizza. The pizza was delicious and came out really fast, we were surprised. Ashley was great with coming by and checking on refills etc. We ended up ordering a growler of one of the beers to take home and had to pack up the pizza to go as well. Looks like they were going to have some live music we heard the guys setting up, kinda sorry we missed it. We were staying at the RV park here and drove over for breakfast. They opened at 7. I appreciated that access was through the non-smoking area of the casino. I was able to enjoy a meal without the smell of cigarettes because the air flow was well managed. It was just a basic breakfast, well prepared and served at a good temperature. read more

This has to be our 3rd or 4th stop here. Our first stop was a year ago on our way to Oregon. Hmmm...slot machines and burgers, how fun!! In a million years, I would have not imagined that Rolling Hills Casino would be a destination spot for us. Our first intentional destination trip here was utilizing their "Play and Stay" golf package. Again, we ate at Rock & Brew. We discovered their Stawberry Fields and Asian Chicken Salad dishes (healthier options) on that trip. Both salads were filling and worth a 2nd try. We came here this week due to their promotional flyers we received in the mail. Luckily, we were between rain storms, and the drive was pleasant, and we NEEDED a quick getaway. Again, we ate at Rock & Brew for the 2 salad options. We were not disappointed! The restaurant was crowded for a Wednesday night. I took that opportunity to taste the draft beer selections while we waited. Another positive experience! $4 for select beers and quite a few options ( I didn't realize that George Lopez had a brewing company!!). If you are in a hurry, come here when it's not crowded. Most restaurants are understaffed, so have a glass of wine or a beer and enjoy their music. read more

I expected that a restaurant in a casino would have good food. Rock & Brew was more than that. The trek from our hotel room to the restaurant was an adventure because it is not clear, from the outside, which door leads to the restaurant. Of course, none of the doors lead to the restaurant. You need to walk through, at least part of, the casino to get to the restaurant. We were seated immediately and shortly thereafter visited by a robot server. We tried to communicate with the robot; but, after a minute or so, it went away. We learned, later, that the robot is an experiment. Our waitress did not know anything about the experiment. The robot stops at our table every few minutes because it is programmed to stop there. It does not do anything. We joked that we might put our empty plates on the robot's tray. Our waitress told us that the empty plates would ride there for the rest of eternity. As for the reason to go to the restaurant. The service was casino relaxed. We were in no hurry. Everything thing arrived in due time. The food was very good and the drinks mixed just right. Rock & Brew is a good reason to visit the casino and spend the night in the hotel. read more

The service really made my experience! Management was active, visible, and attentive. Got to chat with a manager or supervisor about the amazing live entertainment in their outdoor space that weekend (Sonora San Jose). The server was super sweet and even went to check if I could do a half and half order on my pizza. She made it happen! Bartenders were amazing as well. We enjoyed dinner on a Saturday night about 5:30pm. The restaurant was clean, staff were friendly, since live music doesn't start until 9pm it wasn't busy yet. We liked their nacho appetizers, ordered without onions or chili sauce for the kids. Their summer strawberry salad was good, not sweet, but a little wet, so I will order the dressing on the side next time. My boys liked their fish and chips, kid's mac and cheese (Kraft) and chicken strips. No complaints at all. I recommend the Mai Tai, it is nice a refreshing for this summer heat. Loved the vintage music album covers displayed on the ceiling via flat screen tvs. I agree the music is fun, not too loud. Not at 5pm anyways. We will return. read more

Okay I've been here three times now- twice to the restaurant and once at the bar for lunch. First dinner experience was just okay. They sat us at a table right where the robot turns around so it gets really annoying because it looks like it's going to hit you then suddenly jerks the other way. The waitress was nice, but kinda slow. I got one of the burgers and it was good, but the huge burger was hard to work with. Since waitress took so long for everything I didn't even bother asking for a knife to cut it in half which was my fault. Small side salad was delicious and had lots of good stuff in it! Loved the ranch dressing as well. Pineapple jalapeño margarita was disappointing and watery. Second visit for dinner- waitress was super friendly and fast! I got a margarita flight and it's not worth the price in my opinion, but still fun. The blackberry sage margarita is the best! Nacho starter was decent. I had the demon chicken sandwich and it was delicious but I really expected more heat to it. Third visit- came here on a Thursday for the limited lunch menu at the bar and a drink. The tequila sunrise was awful. The menu really is limited but I had a side salad and a pizza. The salad is delicious and so is the ranch. Loved the pizza as well, but kinda pricey for the size. Overall I would return. They play good music and when you're in the restaurant there are so many things to look at. read more
