We had tried a few other car dealerships and were told "due to your short length of time on the…read morejob, you're going to get a NO where every you go" I work contract, make well above average income, at Crown, they looked at me as a person, the fact that I've been doing the same job for 22 years (on contract) not the amount of time I was at this particular company on contract. Before we even set foot on the car lot, I had sent in all my documentation (Drivers Licence, Proof of income, residence etc.), Brian and John (I think that's the right name) checked my information, interviewed me for the loan and had an approval amount before even getting there. Although we chose a car we absolutely loved from the internet pictures, it happened to be about $4,000.00 more than our approval, but they worked with us, our down was only $500.00 more than for something in our approval amount, we received a much lower interest rate than expected. They deal with people from all walks of life, from those making minimum wage to those making over $150k a year...no matter what your situation, you're not brought in with a false sense of what you're approved for then sent to what I call the "Dog Pound" of ratty cars, you know up front before even going what you're approved for and are given a choice of late model, quality vehicles (in our case we were determined to get the one we fell for). Brian had the car we were interested in waiting for us when we showed up, handed us the keys for a test drive and when we returned, it was a matter of getting the car on our insurance, signing the paperwork, paying the downpayment and we were on our way!!! You will be treated with the respect and integrity you deserve, nothing hidden like 99% of the car dealers out there. Everybody was friendly, they make you feel like family, they're professional and don't pull anything over your eyes... If you're looking for a car, bottom of the barrel horrible credit or top of the chart excellant credit, you're going to get awesome treatment... I recommend this dealer (with multiple lots to pull from) 150%... If I could give them 10 Stars instead of 5... I would...

I personally believe that he knew something was wrong with this transmission when he sold me the car. I call back to talk to the owner and when he answered he claim that he was not the owner. I knew that it was him. I understand AS IS but a crook will never flourish in life. A true man would not hide behind a phone when a customer is in need of his assist. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE.

He had to have the car towed back to the dealer. The auto dealer had a mechanic look at it - charged my son 20$ to do so - said they couldn't find anything wrong. They refused to take the car back. He took the car home. The engine is full of sludge and is completely shot. He needs to put a new engine in this vehicle. He tried to get Family Auto to do the right thing, and take the car back and give him back my money, but they refuse. They sold him a car with a bad engine, and even though they sold the car "as is", I feel it is very bad business to sell a vehicle like this and refuse to refund the money when the car breaks down the SAME DAY he purchased it. He did not even make it home! My son would like his money back for this car. He is a young man, soon to be a new father, and he cannot afford to be ripped off like this. He purchased this car on April 19, 2011. He dealt with a man named David Atkins. The car is a 1998 Nissan 200 SX SER. He paid $2190 cash for this vehicle. I have filed complaints with both the Better Business Bureau and the S.C. Attorney General/Consumer Protection agency. Watch out for this company. They are BAD, BAD NEWS!

I responded explaining the issue and Sheila (CSR) wrote that she will look into it and let me know. Now a week later I see a refund posted to my back account but no msg, no em email, no call, no smoke signal, no Morse Code...nothing from this outfit or Sheila... so this was my deal with them.... They stated that they had not yet shipped the item despite the email I had received, and that I could pick up the item. When I arrived, their shipping manager apologized and stated they had miscommunications between themselves. They did not charge my card for the shipping fee. I have purchased several items since this time and after further experiences can say that their customer service has greatly improved. Their shipping manager has communicated effectively and the staff there has been very pleasant and helpful. I even had an incident where I got ANOTHER flat tire after leaving the pickup location and my phone was not working properly. Due to the location, I could not call; I could only text. I texted the shipping manager asking if they could call AAA for me and they did. I appreciate their attentiveness and I am continuing to scope out their auctions for items. As a previous poster stated, they are honest about any defects present and will often take a close-up photo of the area. You can also contact them directly to discuss any questions you have about an item. The pickup location is different for each auction. So, you must pay very careful attention when bidding to ensure the location is not too far. I accidentally did that once and contacted them about my $5 purchase telling them I was willing to donate the items instead of driving that far to pick up the small purchase. They handled this with me well. I was very pleased to get a pretty painting for my hallway at a great price. I've purchased several vases and one red vase adorned my Christmas table. I'm impressed the owner has taken notice and cares to resolve any issues within the business. They have even added text and email reminders the day an auction closes to remind you in case you wish to bid on items. I continue to receive texts the next day reminding me of my purchase and all of this has been extremely helpful. Great job to the business owner to identify the root cause of the problem and in implementing solutions that work.
