My Tahoe blew its engine while driving to New York. With over 120,00 miles I was looking at a very expensive repair. Many dealers would have taken advantage of my situation but the staff at burns did the opposite. They were helpful and upfront dealing with my situation. Not intending to make a sale, the service department was more than willing to make the expensive repairs but asked me to consider taking that money and put it into a down payment on a new vehicle. I decided to go ahead with a new vehicle. The sales team was one of the fairest I had ever worked with. Again the new my situation but treated me fairly and found the vehicle I needed, closed the deal and out the door that afternoon. I wish I had a dealer like Burns near my home. My father took his car in after the a/c stopped working in June on his way down from New York. He asked Dustin if it was under warranty and was assured it wasn't. (I think you know that since I'm mentioning it, it actually was) Didn't know how long the repair would take so I met him at the service shop and heard the conversation when Dustin came out to tell my father the issue. (A missing nut or bolt he said was the cause, probably caused by whoever did service on it last since it can only be removed with a special tool) My dad was thrilled it was an easy repair and he paid around 300$ (don't remember the exact price) and then left, pretty happy despite having to pay so much out of pocket when he thought it was under warranty. Since he was visiting, he parked his car and rode with me for the six days he was here. When he left for New York, he was less than an hour away from Rock Hill when the air conditioning stopped working again. When he got back to New York, he had his Chevy dealer look at it and actually fix the problem (under warranty) When he called Burns, Dustin had said that he told him he couldn't guarantee that what he fixed was the problem which was never said. He also said he told my father that he would need the car for about 100 miles and that my dad said he didn't want to wait. That never happened. It would have been no big deal for them to keep the car since he wasn't going to be driving anyway, but the fact is, that was just never mentioned. None of it. My dad called Burns again, wanting to speak with a manager and was told there wasn't one. My dad doesn't live here, obviously, but i do and will tell anyone who listens to stay away from Burns. read more

My experience. It's a zero with these guys took in for a maintenance wind up taking three days instead of one. And while It was there over $3000 of my tools were stolen off my truck. never even got any type of apology or anything from these guys. I'd recommend you stay far away from this place. My experience with this particular Chevrolet has been awful. 1st, once we bought the car, they told me that I had paperwork to fill out. I came back for 2 days straight only to stand there because it was not ready (stood there once for 30 min). Then the 3rd day came and there was no longer paperwork that needed to be signed; didnt make sense. Then we were never told the property taxes were not covered in our sale because for whatever reason, the girl said she had an error when she tried to transfer my plates from my previous car. So as you can imagine, paying property taxes on a brand new car was INSANE. They had no reasoning behind why this was not clearly communicated or why they could not properly transfer the plates. Lastly, I got sent to collections because they did not pay my car off in time, before MULTIPLE payments. So now, I am trying to work through getting this issue resolved because my credit went down 91 points because of them! They are not profressional, not timely and clearly do not communicate well. I would recommend going to a Chevrolet in Charlotte, down the road. I will never go back. read more

We bought a new motor 2025 for our 2013 Chevrolet truck. The motor blew out January 2026. Took it in for warranty and Burns has been working with GM. They tried piecing it together and finally decided to order a new motor after six weeks. The motor came in this week and we are being told now that the holes for the spark plugs are stripped out. They also had to order a new radiator that was damaged when the motor blew out. I contacted GM and between Burns and GM they blamed each other. Both are useless. Burns likes to converse by text. One new two used about three months ago I bought two cars at a single setting and they promised me certain things but now they are a miscommunication on my part that I didn't understand so I was hit with $100 bill today and I do know that they are using subpar parts that have a subpar service department yeah the sales but they push you to give them good review within 24 hours of buying the vehicle because they know if they wait you will slam them because they are not a good dealership they do not have a good service department at all also the subpar parts I know that on my first car that I bought used from them I had brakes changed and they scraped right from the beginning until I traded it in on this car brakes on this car and they're and the only explanation I can get weather maybe a little rust and it's just burning off. Julio was our contact person and was very polite to talk with, We told him about the truck we wanted to purchase and started going over numbers. The next five people that got involved with us did not introduce themselves to us. Maybe that was on purpose. We were going by the Final Price listed on your web site Mr. Burns, At first we were told that a disclaimer at the bottom of the site gives sales personel an out for honoring that price. Well we searched through it very close and found no disclaimer. Mr. Burns, If you are not honoring the web price please take your web site down. When I was walking to my car to get my checkbook one of the salespeople stopped me and said"Mr. Burns would want us to honor that price" Back to negotiating the price they were using was still 2600 to 3000 dollars high. Quoted at $877 a month but we were at $517. So we left, and on our 2 hour drive back home talked numbers and said we may have done $537. asking about my title & tags on day # 27 I was told my plates will be mailed to me. On Day # 42 I went to the DMV and was told they had nothing from Burns Chevrolet. I was told that they have up to 45 days for my plates on my temporary tag. I contacted the dealer by phone as well as email and I was told that nothing had been done and I would have to a week or more before my plates arrived. I will be unable to drive my vehicle due to the expiration of my temporary tag. There is a law saying that I am supposed to have tags and or title within 45 days. Why does Burns not honor their sales or complete their promises. I tried to file a complaint to the manager was refused to talk or make a complaint to them. Sample email below I am sorry for the delay in your plate and title. We are running a little behind on some processes and this one was completed today. You'll see the plate in about 10 days and title in about 30-45. DMV handles both once we push it through on our end electronically. read more

I had a wonderful experience the first time I took my daughters Equinox here. The car still needed a shifter assembly, which was on back order. I was told if I found one, they would install it so that is what I did. Dropped the car off on a Monday and was told it was just a couple hour long job. Thursday rolled around and it still wasn't done. I told the advisor I would be out of town until Sunday but please leave the car outside the gate and I would pick it up Sunday morning. When I got there, the car was nowhere to be found and I was told they had to pull it back behind the gate due to new cars being delivered. When I got there Monday morning, I was told the car needed a jump but should re charge as my daughter drove to work. Guess I know why the car wasn't left outside the gate. My daughter drives to work, shuts the car off and the key is stuck in the ignition, the reason we took the car there in the first place. I was told "she didn't drive the car far enough for the battery to re charge and she will probably need a new battery." So, a couple hour long job turned into a 4 day job, I was lied to about why the car wasn't left outside the gate and they allowed my daughter to drive off the lot knowing full well the car needed a battery. She is now stuck at work with a car that not only wont start, but the key is stuck in the ignition. Worst service I have ever had. read more

Got it back and the fob wasn't programmed correctly and it wouldn't start. Note: I drove vehicle to the place to start for body damage. I got text message after text message about how things were needed to be ordered, and how certain dollar amount of work needed to be done. No mention of the actual things that needed to be fixed... just dollar amounts. No ONE kept me updated. I had to email weekly. Calls were NOT returned. I have had the truck almost 4 years. I have been having issues with it since 6 months after I bought it. They will not honor the warranty. Saying they no longer offer that. But shouldn't that be with the life of the truck? Since you did when I bought it. Just for the same light to come on two more times. The service department can literally not tell me on why I needed it in the first place. Now they are actively trying to keep my reciepts from me for service so I can show GM and get my money back. I cannot even begin to say enough good about this dealership, from my first call to check to see if they had a certain car in stock I was treated with respect and courtesy. Nick had the car ready with my name on it, got the prelim paperwork done last night. Tonight we picked up my new Trailblazer, which was prepped and ready....perhaps a half hour doing paperwork and then another 30 minutes or so with Madison who went through the electronics and options. Nick our salesman was tied up so Madison jumped in and helped... This is the way customer service used to be and in Rock Hill SC you can find a dealership who values their customers and has pride in what they do! I will certainly buy from them again. Leased a new XT6 from them as they convinced me to trade in my '21 XT6 one month early with a promise to resolve the final month on my previous lease. They did not honor that commitment nor will they respond to repeated calls, texts and emails attempting to remedy. I've taken my truck there two times and each time has been more frustrating than the previous trip. This recent issue. I had a check engine light come on. so I drive the truck immediately in on Tuesday after making an appointment online for Wednesday morning. it is now Friday and they can't even tell me what the issue is with the truck. every time I call I'm told that the tech will look at it and have an answer shortly....is that not what My ******* appointment was for? you can't even read a code to determine an issue after having a vehicle for 4 days??? I was so disappointed in the Burns Service Center, on a Friday I went to pick up my car after 2 weeks of having them replace the dashboard cluster for me. We were in the market for a new SUV and had no luck finding the new Chevy Suburnans. I had reached out to Burns Chevrolet about 4 months ago and spoken to Eli and was told that they just had sold one buy he would keep in touch if they got any more in stock. We have 3 small children so it's alot packing them up for the hour long ride and we already had plans that morning, so he and Jonathan made videos, took pictures, and answered all my questions via phone/email until we could come first thing Monday morning to take the vehicle for a test drive! Eli and Jonathan are hands down an AMAZING duo who go above and beyond! An outstanding operation totally customer focused. They are GM's representative for Buick in Rock Hill, SC. Took wife's Buick Enclave for service on a "noise." Service rep was superb. He had us wait while he checked warranty information and bingo, there was one and it related to the upcoming repair. We went to breakfast and when we returned he took me back to meet with the mechanic who would do the work. The two of them explained what they would be doing and I got it. Rep gave me an estimate and said it would be tomorrow, so we went home. Received a call late in the day, too late to pick it up, that the car was ready and that the estimate was revised downward by about 20% since they now had firm figures on the actual work done and time it took. Next morning we were back. Met again with the rep and the mechanic to go over what was done. Have never had such interest in explaining the situation at any dealer for my 50 years of driving life! Cashier was friendly, like a neighbor, rather than a cold officious bean-counter. Rep was with me through the payment and walked my wife and I out to her car. It had been thoroughly vacuumed and washed. We were both very impressed. Leaving happy we know that we will not hesitate to return to Burn's Chevrolet and to recommend them, as we are now, to others. read more

We have had nothing but frustration every time we take our car in for service. Every other dealership can get you a problem diagnostic within an hour or two. Burns never communicates on a time frame except to promise a call by the end of the day- which never happens. Then they extend the service by dats ( even with an appointment). We dont have this problem with any of our other car brands. Have had to pick our car up not serviced on several occasions and take it elsewhere. I guess we just need to be done with Burns bc this issue of dragging their feet has NOT improved with time! read more

Horrible Service Department, will never take my vehicle again. First off, I understand that the dealership is in business to make money, however the way my wife and I were recently treated borderlines fraud, misinformation, and downright lies from the service department representatives. We took my wife's vehicle in for some service a while back because the stabilitrack and ABS lights were on intermittently. They ran the code scan and performed repairs saying that the EGR valve can sometimes cause this to happen. So the issue never went away and a month or so later we return to the dealership where they perform another 'diagnostic' to run the code scan which says 'rear right wheelspeed sensor bad' I have the Snapon computer that brought up all the codes. So here is where it happens.... The service rep, David Stone, tells me that the service technician has removed the tire, brakes, and wheel hub assembly saying that the bearing is bad. He explains how the bearing has worn along the taper cones and has damaged the sensor. We 'MUST' replace the wheel bearing hub assembly and the wheel speed sensor he says. A quick search reveals NEW OEM parts from the local parts store are 1/3 of the price the dealership is charging for them. I ask him if he can do any better on prices and he declines saying it is what it is. After all this I take the vehicle home, all while trying to hear this damaged bearing which isn't making a sound. I get the vehicle home and jack it up and test the bearings. There is zero movement and zero noise in the bearing. I removed the tire and low and behold the brakes have not been removed. they are filthy covered in dust, the bolt heads have not been touched by a wrench. The screw that holds the rotor to the hub assembly is packed with some dust too so it has not been removed. The wheel speed sensor screw is filled with dirt/grime and has not been removed. I removed the hub assembly and the wheel speed sensor and the bearing is still packed with white grease. If the bearing was failing it would have metal shavings or other debris from failing roller bearings or dirt/dust from a damaged seal. I had a pay the $135 diagnostic fee, but I still came out $1500+ cheaper than having the STEALERSHIP work on my car. NEVER will I take any vehicle to them again. If you need a reputable, honest, reliable mechanic in the area there are other shops who treat you right, tell you straight up, and are honest with their customers. I don't mind paying for quality service, but this was beyond robbery. I can only recommend that others stay away from this place. read more
