This was our second time giving the Rock House a chance when we visited our son at Harding. Our waitress Liz was excellent. However, the food is poor. It's very obvious they use the cheapest meat. My husband's hamburger was average, my philly cheese steak was mostly peppers and it came out cold. Their huge cake is highly overrated. The location of this restaurant is excellent and they have an opportunity for a lot of traffic since they are right by the college and one of the only places in town where you can get a beer or glass of wine. I would suggest the Greek restaurant next door as they carry a lot of American food as well as Greek. read more

So I meet a friend here around 7 on a Friday night and sat in the bar area. The bar boy was quick with my first drink and food showed up and was good but that's the best parts of it. After getting a second drink the bar boy was non existent! Finally got my 3rd and final drink that was ordered25 minutes before last call for the night which was 10pm. He was still given a good tip anyway. Just to find that the bar boy posted on social media that he was pissed about us being there till closing. When you are in a job of service for customers you should expect people to not be on your time table! We were not the only people leaving at the same time. We went on a Monday evening and started at the bar. Our drinks were great and we had excellent service. Upon being seated, we ordered with Grace who was so hospitable to us. From there, things were downhill. Our appetizers arrived cold and they fixed the error, albeit a timely wait. Grace was on top of things the entire time. It wasn't until we waited for over an hour that my husband decided to get management involved. The girl that addressed him was incredibly rude and asked to have him come check their window orders, despite the restaurant being empty at this point. She wasn't even our waitress. Our waitress, Grace, was amazing through everything. Even when our food never arrived, she was incredibly gracious and understanding. Thank you for making a bad experience better. read more

The worst place in searcy you have to buy a menu they only let one person order and not the other's people. I didn't get to order at all and the waiter was making us hurry to get on our phones to look at the menu. Something needs to change! Having to buy a menu when the food is going up price wise is ridiculous and a rude waiter. read more

Have been here several times, over the last couple years. When I first ate here, the food was really good. My last 3 visits, over the course of maybe 3 months, have progressively gotten worse. I keep saying I am not going back, but I somehow return. This last time was the only time I have complained. And I was comped my meal. No one at our table was happy with their luke warm and bland food. I hope they get things back on track, it used to be one of my go to spots in Searcy. Ordered the stacked chicken, the backyard chicken and the spinach artichoke dip. The dip was nothing more than cream cheese with spinach and artichoke (1 piece), that was so cold the cream cheese was still semi firm. The chicken on both dinners was VERY dry and tough to chew. Reminded me of defrosted chicken filets (the cheap freeze-dried kind you get in a bag at walmart), that ended up cooked in a microwave. The side of mushrooms were swimming in a bowl of grease as well. Gross! The side baked potato wasn't even warm enough to melt the block of butter placed on top of it even after sitting almost 15 minutes. Saturday night. Party of 4. I ordered a limited time only selection from the burger menu. Pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, and a signature sauce. Upon first bite, the sauce was just so incredibly hot that I asked another member of our group to taste a tiny bit. Same result. I tried everyone could think of. Taking it off the bun where the sauce was. Dipping a small bite in ketchup. You couldn't hide it or tolerate it. So, I sent it back. Then the bill arrives and the charge is there. I ask my waiter "are you really going to charge me for that?" Answer: yes. My Response "you have got to be kidding ". Answer: well, YOU ordered it. And my manager will tell you the same thing if you call him over. " It turns out, the sauce is their absolutely hottest wing sauce. read more

Ordered chicken fried steak. The first one was served burnt, and the second was completely overcooked. Still dripping oil, and not much better than the first. For a total bill of $56 bucks. Me and my family came here on Saturday night around 7 o'clock. It was pur first time going besides my grandmothers. She said it was good her first couple times going, but this time it was terrible, we will not be returning. They had a band, it was extremely loud, you could not have a conversation without having to yell basically. I got 2 tacos, the chicken and steak taco(do not recommended). The steak meat on the taco is precooked(was told by a staff member), it was also very bland. The chicken looked like canned chicken(didnt eat it). The tortillas was something you could get at Walmart(not fresh or homemade)definitely a $3.96 taco. Nothing special either. The bread they gave you was garlic bread, it was just like the New York texas toast you get at Walmart in the frozen area. My grandmother got the sirloin, she said it had a lot of gristle, we pointed it out to the waitress(didnt take it off the bill). My mother got the back yard chicken, that was really good she said. We got a to go order for my dad, he got the ribeye. He said it was full of fat and hardly any meat on it. My first time at this restaurant. We were seated quickly and the server was prompt. During the entire meal, she was very attentive but she really didn't engage with us and make us feel welcome. But she did her job well. I had the grilled mahi tacos with a side of steamed broccoli. You can get 1, 2 or 3 tacos. I got 3 but should have gotten 2. Very filling. Overall, they were tasty, but they used too much shredded cheese and didn't cut up the purple cabbage fine enough. Also, they use a long skewer ran through all the tacos to hold them together. One of those metal taco trays to hold them would be better. You either need to pull each taco off individually, which is messy, or pull out the skewer, which lets the other tacos fall over. The steamed broccoli was spot on. My wife had the Avocado Shrimp salad. She enjoyed it except for the over abundance of Romaine lettuce cores. Great local place to eat. Reasonable prices good service! Several favorites on the menu.

The food is great nice portions with a good price however service is slow sloppy and the manager Teresa is very rude waited over 30 minutes to pay our bill at a dirty table her response with a smug look on her face as I handed her my payment ugh I'll get your server and strutted off but not without giving me choice looks. My drink was sat by my elbow covered in soda on the outside the mess left for my shirt. I recommend setting at the bar or ordering take out. read more

First time trying this joint today. It was a Saturday at about 1:30. We were seated fairly quick and our server greeted us soon after. We ordered fried mushrooms to start and it was served with ranch or spicy ranch. We tried both. They mushrooms were very crunchy and came out hot. The ranch is good too but wasn't a huge fan of the spicy ranch. It tasted a little funny. Sadly, this was the best part of our meal. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with balsamic vinaigrette and my husband ordered the shrimp tacos. We also ordered a small traditional wings tossed in their buffalo sauce. The salad was huge and mostly good but it was just a salad and that's ok. My husband said the tacos were good but didn't like the sauce that came on the side. Now the wings were a huge disappointment. There was plenty of sauce but it tasted way different than buffalo sauce. Worst part the wings came out just slightly warm. My burger was way over cooked and had wilted lettuce. The place was loud im guessing because of the roof but i couldnt even talk to my wife. The waitress was kinda rude and acted like i didnt need to ask for a new tea cause there was something floating in it. The prices were too high for what you get.
