This restaurant had wonderful food and a very fun atmosphere with old records and albums for menus. The posters of famous rock and roll icons on the wall was a great and fun touch. We ordered the rainbow roll and the hibatchi veggie dish. Both were outstanding and delish. What a great sushi chef they have and the best waitress (Anna) that we have found in years. Most of the rest of the help should have been called nonhelp as they were more interested in watching the sports on TV than their customers. this is the only reason i gave this place a 4 star instead if a 5 star. This place has some unique ideas but the layout is too open and small. If someone is sitting in the booth behind you, you're guaranteed to feel their every move. The staff is really nice. On one occasion the server made a mistake on my bill. I called the restaurant and the manager was very apologetic and fixed it immediately. The sushi is okay. I really like the Japanese bagle roll. I wish they wouldn't triple roll rice on every sushi roll. I feel like way to much rice and not enough sushi. read more

Cool theme and terrific rolls. All the menus are old 80's hair band album covers! Totally rad!?! I had the Madonnna roll with the fried wontons as an app. Excellent presentation with great quality ingredients. Went there or lunch and ordered the greenday tuna appetizer and a roll. Two bites into the appetizer and I was crunching what appeared to b small bones and scales like those in sardines. Tuna doesn't have this so I notified the waitress who showed the bits on my napkin to the manager. He indicated it wasn't scales but was tendons and didn't take it off the bill because my I had bitten into it. No attempt to maker right. The waitress brought it back to me and said there was nothing she could do. I cancelled my roll and paid for my drink and appetizer and left. Aweful everything and the place was filthy. The Motley Crew was awesome. What a cool place. The service was great and the manager even came over to make sure our meal was good. No one does that anymore. Nice touch. The bathrooms were clean! I've eaten here about 3 times. Sushi has been excellent every time. The crab wontons are the best I've had. Portion sizes are huge. I eat here every time I'm in the area for work. I would've given 5 stars, but like many others have mentioned, the servers are not the friendliest, not rude...just disengaged and act like they would rather be somewhere else. We ate at the Bar and the cook interacted with us and explained what she was doing as she was preparing the Sushi Rolls. The Food was Fantastic! The reason I gave it a 4 is the waitress. We had to ask for silverware, we asked for napkins, we also had to ask for refills on drinks and it was almost as if we were bothering her. We live in Daphne and normally drove to Fairhope for sushi. We decided to try Rock n Roll Sushi tonight and boy are we glad we did. I can't say the sushi here is better than what we had been having in Fairhope, just deliciously different. The portions are generous and priced reasonably. Went on Friday night and they only had ONE server that seemed to be working. After being seated, we weren't even acknowledged for at least 20 minutes. It took over an hour to get our food. This was my first and likely last visit to this place. The restaurant was not crowded and yet we waited over 45 minutes for our sushi. When it arrived I was very disappointed. What had been described on the menu as "tempura shrimp" in one of the rolls was nothing more than reuglar battered and fried shrimp. The "crab meat" was imitaion and the smoked salmon was sliced so thin you could barely taste its presence in the roll. The one tasty thing we had was the spicy tuna which was so spicy and so pulverized it was not even recognizable as tuna. None of the sushi seemed fresh. I have had grocery store sushi that tasted fresher and better for less. The servers and hostess kept getting things confused. All in all it was not a great experience. Very disappointed... We walked in and someone sitting at the sushi bar turns and tells us to sit wherever we like. Ok but we had 5 in our party so we needed to slide two tables together... The restaurant staff just stood and watched as we had to take care of arranging the tables for ourself. After quit a few minutes waiting we finally had a server bring us menus. We ordered appetizers and basically three rolls and two orders of fried rice... So it wasn't a big elaborate order of multiple rolls. The rice arrived and was finished... as well as many people orders that had arrived and placed orders after us before the three rolls arrived. The food was ok but the whole evening was just awkward... It's almost like we offended the staff by bringing five guest and needed to rearrange the tables. Also if you have people in your party that do not eat sushi you need to consider some place else. About the only other option is a small appetizer of fried rice. Took my mom out for a birthday dinner and wound up paying 45$ for 18 pieces of sushi and everything was either fried or contained something fried. It took over 40 minutes to get our food in a nearly deserted dining room, and when we got it the portions were meager. Each roll was 6 pieces we ordered a Kiss roll and a Greenday Roll (labeled on the menu as headliners) and just to be safe a spicy tuna roll (labeled on the menu as a classic). The waitress told us the headliners had 8-10 pieces and the spicy tuna would have 6.....yeah no. The "Black Pearl" and the "Cyndi Lauper" are my next roll choices. If you want Super Healthy, Melt-in-Your-Mouth Tender, Eyes-Rolling-Back-in-Your-Head Ecstasy, then try the "Tuna Twister" (Spicy Tuna & sliced Avocado) appetizer! The restaurant is clean and the staff is super friendly. I recommend this place to everyone I talk to when I'm down there. I go to rock n roll sushi in daphne all the time and order the Michael jackson rolls to go. That's literally the only thing I order, I've never tried anything else. So today, I call and order the usual. The girl doesn't repeat it back. Tells me it'll be 30 minutes. I wait 30 long minutes for one order and when I finally pick it up and get home, I notice jalapeños. I'm confused. Then I look at the receipt and it says "Heart Rolls-fried". Now I'm really confused because I've never heard of that. So I call to tell them about me receiving the wrong order and I hear several girls in the background screaming "No, she's lying! She said Heart Rolls!" Im instantly pissed because I can blatantly hear them accusing me of lying. So i get back up there and there are two girls waiting on me at the register. I tell them, "How can I order the Heart rolls when I've never heard of it?? I've literally ONLY ordered the MJ rolls" and the girl looks at me blankly and says "It's the same thing." .....wow. If it's the same thing, why did I get charged $1 more and have jalapeños? I'm not upset about the mistake because mistakes happen. I've worked in the food industry for a long time so I know. I'm just LIVID at how they handled the situation. So unprofessional! So nonchalant. The only person who seemed professional was the guy who was preparing the sushi next to the register. I've eaten at other locations of this franchise and have enjoyed it. This was an unpleasant dining experience from start to finish. Every employee was to some degree unpleasant. Our waitress was essentially no where to be found. Edamame was literally ice cold in the middle. It took FOREVER to be served....we were missing part of our order when it did finally arrive. Had the waitress knock over a bowl of soy sauce into our plate. Had no chopsticks and that took another 10 minutes to obtain. Forget about a drink refill.
