Rose roll and a bento box

Wonderful service and amazing food! Very peaceful atmosphere, really good option for a quick lunch or night out

Crazy roll, volcano roll, red rose roll, titanic roll

Crazy roll, volcano roll, red rose roll, titanic roll SO good!! Ordered the 5 you can eat to go and it was so fresh and tasty! The to go packaging was good quality as well. It also came with fried rice. 10/10 recommend this place for fresh sushi and good service!

The food here was average to bland. Was not overly impressed with the food for the price. Service was also disappointing. We were greeted by a nice man, but then the waitress came in and started arguing with the chef. Made it an awkward experience. Given there are better places in the area, doubt we will return.

Rainbow, crazy, jubilee, red rose, and volcano roll

I got the 5 to go deal and had a delicious miso soup and tried five different speciality rolls (they come as half rolls). I got the rainbow, crazy, jubilee, red rose, and volcano rolls and they were all delicious. Super fast service too!

    Sushi

NO SUSHI FOR YOU. I will admit when they brought this out I should have been like "wait that's a lot of food for 20 bucks maybe there's something wrong." Instead I was like "that's a lot of food for 20 bucks !!! out!" When they brought me the bill that was more than 3 times the price of our original order I explained that there was a mistake.. by their waitress not me. They wanted me to pay it all anyway. I politely but sternly stood my ground. They have a deal "pick 5 for 18 dollars." It's actually on one of those sushi menus where you mark what you want. We marked it on the paper specifically for the pick 5 deal. We actually checked what we wanted on that piece of paper. Should have been no doubt what we expected. But people make mistakes. The waitress said she would fix it and brought back the bill. It was still twice the cost of what we ordered. I politely but sternly repeated my assertion that I would not pay for more than what I ordered. She said she needed to go talk to someone ... but actually left the restaurant and never came back. I waited politely for 20 minutes and then went to the counter and told them again I was happy to pay for what I ordered but "I'm not sitting here all night so ring it up properly or I'll just leave." The owner (I believe) then handed me another check . Still like $15 dollars more than what we ordered. I asked him again to correct it and he finally handed me the correct bill saying "I'll do what you want but never come back again. Our waitress said she doesn't want to see you again and our waiters are more important than our customers." That's when I got a bit miffed finally and said "your waitress needs to grow a pair and own up to her mistakes instead of making others pay for them." Mind you, pre-Covid I would have gone defcon 1 at least 25 minutes earlier. But I understand it's hard to get employees and patience is in order these days. That's why I was polite and calm the entire time. And I was LITERALLY the only person in the whole restaurant in the middle of the dinner hour. So that tells me something too. Their customers don't matter. I understand people make mistakes. But when you make the mistake you pay for it, not someone else. And I'm happy to never eat there again. I will say also there is one waitress who is almost always there and has always been fantastic. This would not have happened if she had waited on us. Don't know if she quit but she wasn't there. Also I will say the 5 for 18 dollar deal is a heck of a bargain and why we went there. I probably would even go back but I think I'm officially banned. Maybe everyone has been banned and that's why the place is empty despite the great deal and decent food . UPDATE: just got home and got an epic case of the runs too... so bonus .

Gyoza, Noodles, Tofu, Steak, Chicken, etc

Love their all-you-can-eat lunch! They offer a lot of good stuff from soup, salad, hibachi, and sushi! When you get seated, they will give you a paper to mark which one you want to get. The service is good thought it takes time to get the food during lunch rush. Food Review and TIPS: I always start seaweed salad and gyoza (dumplings). Be mindful when you order gyoza because it has two options: steamed or pan-fried. If you didn't check either of the two, they will give it steamed. I looove their steak! Write on the paper how you want it cooked if you want to be specific so they won't forget. However, sometimes he steak gets really chewy but when they're fresh, it's soooo soft and melts in your mouth! The noodles are usually salty so I get teriyaki sauce on the side to balance the flavor. For the special sushi, it normally comes with seaweed wrap but if you want to change it to soy paper, it's additional $0.50 each roll. They have nigiri but NO SASHIMI. They have a lot of sushis to choose from too but I normally get one roll only because it makes me stuffed easily all the time! If I were to suggest anything for this place, I would love if they can also include ice-cream with it. This is a good place to dine. It's $14 for an AYCE lunch that doesn't have a time limit.

    Pick 5 half rolls special

This is the pick 5 half rolls special. It also includes choice of soup, salad or fried rice. All the rolls were amazing and the portions are generous!

I've been here a few times and to be honest, I'm completely underwhelmed. The food is okay. It's not terrible and it's not worth writing home about. They have a special where you get 2 meals, complete with salad and soup, for $25. Drinks are an additional $2 each. The choices are one sushi roll or entree or box, with a decent selection from a limited menu. They also offer some sort of all you can eat special for lunch. The service is good. The atmosphere is very dated, 90's-ish. It's a great place to go if you want to save a buck, and a not-so-great place to go if you want to be blown away by the food.

Check the photos - I'm not making this up. Sludge, muck, and dust were everywhere. And what I at first thought was a giant cob web was actually the home of 2x LIVING spiders. *Note = spiders only live where there's food for them to survive. In this case there were tiny flies. Wonder where else the flies are. Service: Friendly and direct. Business oriented, not customer-experience oriented. Food: I ordered the chicken hibachi. 95% of the order was rice with about 4-5 oz of chicken plus veggies. Rice = flavorless, pointless filler Carrots = unseasoned boiled carrots Cabbage + broccoli = salty, unappetizing, thoughtless, gross. Chicken = weird chewy texture like it was bad meat that had been de-thawed improperly. Flavors of only sear and teriyaki sauce. Pink sauce = weird, sour, onion-based, and gross Teriyaki sauce = pleasant at first with a horrible aftertaste. Maybe it's old? I literally took a bite of each thing to make this description then threw the entire meal away. It was that unpleasant. I will never be back. Glad I didn't waste any more money here.

From my reconnaissance results, everything was wonderful at this restaurant. The hostess greeted me immediately and gave me a tour of the restaurant when I told her that I was surveying and comparing different Japanese restaurants in the area. She asked questions about my event and what I wanted in the experience. The restaurant was bright and clean, which I absolutely loved. Other places were way too dark for my preference. We toured the bar area, the sushi area, and the hibachi area. Everything was clean, organized and inviting. The hostess was very friendly, informative and helpful. She asked about the times that I might come and even suggested the best times for particular days. I felt so comfortable that I wanted to end the tour and order something to eat on this mission, but I decided against it until I found out that they serve dim sum. Since these delicacies are generally not available where I live, I decided to try a few of my favorites. While the taste of the shrimp & pork dumplings was underwhelming, the sesame balls were perfect. I am excited to bring my family here for the hibachi experience and I will update this review afterward. Update after the hibachi experience. When the five of us arrived on a Friday at 5:30 PM, we were greeted immediately. My tour guide from the previous day, remembered me and told the hostess to seat us at a special table. Then the usual process of hibachi started. Our cook was very interactive, funny and entertaining. He prepared our food wonderfully, seasoned it well and entertained us expertly. My cousin, whom had never experienced a hibachi dinner/entertainment prior to this, thoroughly enjoyed her dinner and raved about coming back sometime soon. We all had such a wonderful experience that we will return.
