The staff and service is good for entire site. I have eaten on the Hibachi grill side. Very good. The non-Hinachi side, I have tried about four times, and I am NEVER satisfied. The food is not fully cooked nor seasoned like the Hibachi side; it is very bland. When you think to yourself, I will bring this home and make it better, not a good sign. The vegetable rice is not good. I brought it home and refried in butter, added cooked, sauteed onion, cooked bellpepper and it was better. The ginger dressing salad was not fresh. I feel like I wasted $23.00. Sorry. It will be a while before I visit or invite guests. I wanted to let the restaurant know to help It. You really need to put more attention on your cooks and help them put more effort into dishes to improve the non-hibachi side taste and texture. read more

I ordered Pad Thai for take out. I asked for no additional protein, 'just the noodles'. When I got home I discovered that they had given me literally, just noodles. Not pad Thai, no vegetables, egg, peanuts, just dry noodles. I spoke with the manager. Her solutions were that I could bring the noodles back if I wanted a refund or, they would make me a new one, and they would only charge me for the vegetables. Any good manager would apologize, offer a full refund, or replace for free. The foods not exceptional, and they certainly don't make up for it in customer service. read more

Hit and miss. Especially the Hibachi Room, we've been there a couple times, last and also our last visit absolutely awful. Food garbage, presentation terrible. Substance abuse. I have never felt more rushed in my life! We got to the restaurant at 7:30 and didn't get seated until 8:00, which was fine, but then we waited over an hour for the chef to come and fix the food. It was about 9:15 by then. The waitress only asked us twice about refills the entire time we were there. As soon as the food hit our plates, not even three minutes later, our checks and to-go boxes were sitting in front of us. I just thought it was so rude. No matter how many times I have had Stix or hibachi food I always enjoy the vibe. The entertainment from the chef tonight was decent. Service was quick. The restaurant wasn't packed so we got to sit down rather fast. 2 meals for under $60 and they were generous with the servings. read more

So let me start by saying the only reason I gave a two vs a one was because the hibachi chef was really nice and did a good job - and our waitress/server was really nice when she made it by - though she was very overextended.... Here is the part where a zero stars starts.... The blonde hostess with her hair up in a bun wore an expression of pure hate, disdain, and evil - THE WHOLE NIGHT. She had the personality of a pet rock and had us (A party of 8) already regretting our dining choice while we sat in the waiting area. She had a terrible attitude when she sat us and a terrible attitude with every other table we watched her seat in the hibachi area. Next issue. Two of us ordered sushi. The sushi came out at least 20 minutes before our hibachi chef even came over to start doing everyone else's food. We literally waited 45 minutes from the time we sat down until the hibachi chef came over - we came in the front door at 5:15 and didn't escape until 7:30. Now I don't know about you but if you order a really expensive cold sushi roll the last thing you want to do is watch it get to room temperature... But you don't want to be rude and eat before the hibachi chef has even shown up to start everyone else's dinner. So we sat and waited until I eventually asked our waitress the next time she managed to come by if she could take my sushi and put it in a cooler or fridge until everyone else's food was done. By the way when my sushi came back out the plate was at room temp and the sushi was warm so all they did was take it out of my sight and stick it on a counter to finish warming to the environment. You can say oh-no it went in a fridge but that would mean it would be cool to cold - not around 80 degrees room temp. The hibachi chef did a great job doing the normal entertaining while cooking. The hibachi per the others who ate hibachi was just okay - with comments like it tasted funny and the chunks of meat were cut way too big - the steak was gristly- etc. Another by the way - they add in an 18% gratuity on the bill so unless you feel really tippy don't fall for the blank line and donate more unless you think it's deserved. Now that might be for a table of 8 or more which we were but... I almost didn't catch it on what was nearly a $300.00 bill. This is the second time in four months we have been here. The first time in April we were all feeling yucky to actually Ill after eating and into the next day. We all had hibachi that day. Makes we wonder if items sit out or if the grills are really cleaned well. Our hibachi guy scrubbed the heck out of ours when he was done but a lot of food residue seems to linger and I really doubt the lack of apparent energy given by many of the staff who looked like sleepless college students wandering zombie like of finals week actually put in the effort to clean and tidy up behind raw chicken, steak, fish, and gallons of yum-yum sauce everywhere... Next time skip the Stix and try something else. read more

My Husband and I go here at least once a month. The food is always good and the staff are always nice. Their sweet tea is always sour, while unfortunate, can be fixed by simply ordering something else to drink. read more

Their sushi is delicious, and the chicken lo mein to-go was really good. Their hibachi dinners are really good, too. Most of my visits / orders from here are for their sushi. Some of my favorite rolls to try are the following: Hurricane, Phoenix, Firecracker, Dynamite, Volcano, and Spicy Shrimp. One can come inside and sit "on the right" and still order hibachi meals, you're just not getting the show. I haven't ever had a bad experience here; it's totally worth a visit. read more

I ordered the Ribeye and Scallops Hibachi style, and the wife ordered Sushi. The Ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium rare with the right amount of spice and sauce. Our chef, Minard, was great, and he cooked my Scallops perfectly. The ribeye and scallops were delicious! The fried rice was awesome, and the vegetables were amazing. We also ordered LoMein Noodles, and they were delicious, as well. Kudos to our server Dillan, as he provided excellent service through tour dinner. My dear friend and I wanted to take our girls out for supper and drinks. This is a perfect place for all ages. We sat with an amazing family at the other end of our Tepon bar. The sushi was presented nicely and fresh. Our steak was tender and delicious. The vegetables were seasoned just right and cooked to perfection. Our bartender was very talented and, the chef and server were pretty amazing. Many delicious menu choices so you do not need to feel committed to one part of the menu. Wait was 20 minutes for Sunday that isn't bad. Food was good we totally enjoyed our dishes. My husband had a seafood Szechuan dish and I had chicken curry both good and none brought home. Ate it all. The restaurant was clean. Noise level allowed us to talk easily. Staff was friendly and our waitress was attentive. This wasn't a good experience at all. We had reservations (party of 14) for a surprise birthday. The girl at the front desk refused to seat us until every single person was in front of her. Not at the bar, not outside smoking or in the restroom. On front of her. The other girl at the front desk - blonde hair, glasses, nose ring - was being very rude to everyone. One person came in with a party of 8, to which she responded by rolling her eyes and hitting herself in the face with her clipboard. Very rude. Once we were final seated, we were joined by a small family of 4 and a newborn. About 5 minutes after being seated, we were all then asked to swap our entire party to different hibachi tables. Our drink orders were taken and when the server brought the waters out, she accidentally bumped the edge of the grill/counter and spilled all the drinks onto the grill, breaking some of the glasses. As a result, we had to swap tables again. At this point, the small family who was seated with us had enough and decided to leave. The guy who did the hibachi cooking was amazing, and the food was delicious, but sadly that was the highlight (and only positive things) of the evening. The servers were forgetful. We had to remind them of our drink orders multiple times. Drinks were empty. They didn't clear ANY dirty dishes or glasses from our tables, as you can see from the photos. They brought our our friend's birthday cake still in a box, with no plates or even a knife to cut the cake with. Gratuity is automatically included on bigger parties, so perhaps that's why no one put forth much of an effort to give even semi-decent service. The whole experience was ridiculous and what should have been a great birthday celebration for my friend turned out to be a complete disaster. read more

The staff was very professional, very attentive, and the food was considerably better tasting and quality than what happened been served the past few years. This place was BUSY!! We sat at bar, myself, husband and sister while we waited for table. The bartenders were very attentive and very nice. We waited an hour or so then got seated with 2 other families. Our server Megan seemed to have had a very difficult night because we didn't see a smile on her face the entire time. She did her job though but as for anyone who knows me at all...CUSTOMER SERVICE, BE NICE, SMILE, is it really so hard? Poor Megan was very busy but she kept up. Our chef was very slow but adequate, he was sweet and entertaining even though I think he was close to 90, but he was very nice unlike our poor Megan. We had a nice group at our table so that was nice! The food was delicious but my sister said her filet tasted like it was old, I tasted it and it seemed ok but I'm not a filet person, I'm a sirloin and rib-eye person. All in all we had a very nice time! We went back to the bar after our meal because my sister wanted a dessert drink, then home we went! She loved the drink by the way!! read more

Love Asian food, this not so much. Ordered to go, our first time here. We ordered pad Thai, Mongolian beef, fried rice and egg drop soup. Flavor wise, it has a Korean flavor to me. I'm half Korean so I love Korean food but it isn't what I expected. You know how when you have a taste for something and you can taste in your brain before you even eat it and then bam you're disappointed? That was me tonight. Mongolian beef was ALL mushrooms. Tons of juice, it was more like Mongolian mushroom with beef soup. Reminded me of bulgogi (a Korean beef dish) not true Mongolian beef. Pic below. Pad Thai was super red. I've eaten a lot of pad Thai from Thai restaurants all along the east coast from Canada to Miami, Cali, Vegas etc and this was not pad Thai. Taste wise reminded me of a sweet gochujang (Korean red pepper paste). Was supposed to have chicken and shrimp. There was 4 pieces of chicken and 4 pieces of shrimp. At first I thought there was a lot of chicken but I was wrong, it was egg. Pic below. Fried rice was good. Egg drop soup was good, although I've never had it with shrimp (2 pieces) and chicken (3 extremely long pieces) before. Excellent all around. Wish I could give it a 4.5 and maybe in a follow up I will raise my rating to 5 stars. My favorites are the Dragon Roll and Hurricane, but there's SO MANY that I haven't tried yet--so that might change! You owe it to yourself to try Stix. Definitely worth the trip! read more

We were passing through on our way to the beach and my wife wanted sushi. She's not big on trying new places that she hasn't had before. This place was excellent! There was a wait but we were seated sooner than expected. Our waitress Kristina was ready to meet us and take drink orders immediately. The food came out shortly after ordering. We had the appetizer sampler and it was great. Bang bang chicken was awesome! We had sushi and both rolls were very tasty. This place had great pricing and large portions. Appetizer and one specialty roll each filled us up! Highly recommend and we are likely to stop back By one on our way home from the beach if we are craving sushi! Expensive. Slow. Minimal selection. This place was easily 30% more expensive for sushi/hibachi sit down than anything I've been to across the COUNTRY! The sushi selection is very minimal. The service took over 2 hours start to finish for a few rolls and plates from the kitchen (non hibachi side). The price was astronomical. A family of 5 cost over $200 after tip - this is certainly unsustainable for any family. While what we got had decent flavors, getting a mixed appetizer for close to $14 that has legit 2 potstickers, 2 Rangoon's and a couple pieces of fried chicken is absolutely ridiculous. Continue the overpriced trend for all rolls, meals and beverages. I think I caught the kids sodas were $7 - more than my draft beer! We will seek other Asian food in the area and make our own comparable hibachi on our blackstone for a fraction of the cost. Steer clear unless you don't mind wasting money. read more

My only complaint is the 20$ gratuity added to an already high ticket for a waitress who wasn't all that great.
