    Chicken and rice

I bought this $23 sweet and sour chicken and it tasted spongy and not throughly cooked and there were barely any pineapples in it. I'm very disappointed. Also when I went to pick up the order the lady was rude and playing on her phone she said my order wasn't ready yet but she didn't even look so I waited for 20 min and finally went up again and she turned around and the bag that was there when I got there was mine and so it ended up being cold.

Great ambience with fantastic service and delicious food. I sat in a booth vice the hibachi section and had two appetizers and an entire. I took a lot of left overs. Awesome value for the meal too!

Lunch after church was at Stix. My husband and I both enjoyed the spicy orange chicken - crispy chicken pieces in a spicy orange sauce was so delicious with the fried rice. Always fun to receive a fortune cookie at the end. Great service in a beautiful setting in a booth by the bar.

No matter how many times I have had Stix or hibachi food I always enjoy the vibe. The entertainment from the chef tonight was decent. Service was quick. The restaurant wasn't packed so we got to sit down rather fast. 2 meals for under $60 and they were generous with the servings.

Food is always superb. Great service. Ambiance is not all that, but you can't have it all. We enjoy sitting in the booth/table areas instead of the hibachi.

Their sushi is delicious, and the chicken lo mein to-go was really good. Their hibachi dinners are really good, too. Most of my visits / orders from here are for their sushi. Some of my favorite rolls to try are the following: Hurricane, Phoenix, Firecracker, Dynamite, Volcano, and Spicy Shrimp. One can come inside and sit "on the right" and still order hibachi meals, you're just not getting the show. I haven't ever had a bad experience here; it's totally worth a visit.

Added 2 stars to my review. Our meal over the holidays was excellent. We ordered hibachi and sushi. Their Sushi Rolls are excellent. And Sashimi is fresh and delicious. I ordered the Ribeye and Scallops Hibachi style, and the wife ordered Sushi. The Ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium rare with the right amount of spice and sauce. Our chef, Minard, was great, and he cooked my Scallops perfectly. The ribeye and scallops were delicious! The fried rice was awesome, and the vegetables were amazing. We also ordered LoMein Noodles, and they were delicious, as well. Kudos to our server Dillan, as he provided excellent service through tour dinner. Stix surprised me on how great an experience that we had. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Teenagers working there are extremely rude and arrogant, especially the host/bussers. Someone higher up needs to teach them manners.

We had a very friendly waitress that timed our meal perfectly. We started with the gyoza a pork dumpling. The dumpling itself was taaty and prepared well however a theme emerged here, the sauce was very sweet. Even our house salad with ginger dressing was sweet. The greens were cold and fresh. Next we both had the sea bass entree with mixed vegetables and fried rice. The fish was cooked perfectly but again, the sauce that covered the fish was sweet. This may be the style here and while the food was cooked well it was overshadowed in both our opinions by the sweetness of every dish. Perhaps the sushi was the way to go. Maybe we will try them again, time will tell.

Best Sushi Ever!…read more There's not a lot of things I take seriously, but I take sushi seriously. Being from Malibu and a world traveler, I never thought I would have some of the BEST sushi of my life in a small Alabama town!!! Imagine the shock when the delectable fresh concoctions were entering my mouth one after the next! Ohhhh and later someone got me to try the sautéed pork dumplings in the best gyoza sauce known to man. Now I'm celiac so when I say these are to die for, I mean literally . Master Joe trained in Tokyo, Japan for something like 9 years to become a master sushi chef. Lucky for us he settled in Fairhope, Alabama to rear his family and open his phenomenal restaurant.

From my reconnaissance results, everything was wonderful at this restaurant. The hostess greeted me immediately and gave me a tour of the restaurant when I told her that I was surveying and comparing different Japanese restaurants in the area. She asked questions about my event and what I wanted in the experience. The restaurant was bright and clean, which I absolutely loved. Other places were way too dark for my preference. We toured the bar area, the sushi area, and the hibachi area. Everything was clean, organized and inviting. The hostess was very friendly, informative and helpful. She asked about the times that I might come and even suggested the best times for particular days. I felt so comfortable that I wanted to end the tour and order something to eat on this mission, but I decided against it until I found out that they serve dim sum. Since these delicacies are generally not available where I live, I decided to try a few of my favorites. While the taste of the shrimp & pork dumplings was underwhelming, the sesame balls were perfect. I am excited to bring my family here for the hibachi experience and I will update this review afterward. Update after the hibachi experience. When the five of us arrived on a Friday at 5:30 PM, we were greeted immediately. My tour guide from the previous day, remembered me and told the hostess to seat us at a special table. Then the usual process of hibachi started. Our cook was very interactive, funny and entertaining. He prepared our food wonderfully, seasoned it well and entertained us expertly. My cousin, whom had never experienced a hibachi dinner/entertainment prior to this, thoroughly enjoyed her dinner and raved about coming back sometime soon. We all had such a wonderful experience that we will return.
