    Spider roll and udon noodles
    Carl T.

This was our first time and we genuinely enjoyed dining in for lunch. I had the spider roll which included fried soft shell crab, cucumber, masago (capelin roe), and asparagus. It was absolutely amazing. The pickled ginger was a good cleaner and some of the best wasabi I've had. The udon noodles were cooked perfect and had so much flavor. The chicken and other veggies were good as well. Water tasted clean. Service was reasonable and the establishment was clean and quiet. Genuinely happy with our experience and will definitely come back!

I got the fantasy roll and the sweet potato roll with were both delicious. The wait can sometimes be long here but the food is worth the wait.

We came to Tokyo Asian with family for lunch. Our service was slow and the food tasted flavorless and pretty undercooked. The veggie hibachi plate was under seasoned and the fried rice dried out.

We are on the hunt for a good japanese restaurant as the one we used to go to has increased their prices a lot ,which would be ok, but the size is now so tiny and see thru thin slices of sushi..now I m not a fan of sushi , that's my hubby ,but I love the rolls with cooked fish..today we were in Fairhope checking out some things there and just happened upon this restaurant..and decided let's get a few things to try ..I got the geisha roll which has tempura cooked shrimp and veggies inside and salmon on top with a crispy topping and eel sauce ..it was delicious ..Hubby only got a few pieces, he usually eats 24 to 32 yes he eats that much sushi which is soo expensive but today he was just trying it to see if he liked it there and yes he said it was delicious ..his only thought was it could be thicker like it used to be other places we went ..I think those days are over but it was a longer piece of salmon and the shrimp were large so he was pretty happy.. the server was very friendly ..this will be one of our go to sushi places and the hunt will go on..

I was in town and wanted some hibachi, so I called and they informed me that I have to be a party of six to sit at the hibachi grill. Which is fine I understand, so I ordered over the phone and went and picked it up. Boy what a absolute shit hole. I got rice, noodles, filet, chicken. Which let me remind you that this is a hibachi meal. The only thing cooked on the grill was the steak. The chicken was old and in chunks not grilled, the rice came from the bill rice not grilled, vegetables were steamed and never grilled. I spent 53 dollars for a half ass meal that they claimed to be hibachi.

They had a fantastic kung pao tofu, and these really wild drinks for kids that my son couldn't get enough of.

Great Japanese cuisine. Better than many large city restaurants. Highly recommend if you are in Fairhope.

The meal was just okay, nothing too special and service was normal. Probably wouldn't come back.

We had a very friendly waitress that timed our meal perfectly. We started with the gyoza a pork dumpling. The dumpling itself was taaty and prepared well however a theme emerged here, the sauce was very sweet. Even our house salad with ginger dressing was sweet. The greens were cold and fresh. Next we both had the sea bass entree with mixed vegetables and fried rice. The fish was cooked perfectly but again, the sauce that covered the fish was sweet. This may be the style here and while the food was cooked well it was overshadowed in both our opinions by the sweetness of every dish. Perhaps the sushi was the way to go. Maybe we will try them again, time will tell.

Best Sushi Ever!…read more There's not a lot of things I take seriously, but I take sushi seriously. Being from Malibu and a world traveler, I never thought I would have some of the BEST sushi of my life in a small Alabama town!!! Imagine the shock when the delectable fresh concoctions were entering my mouth one after the next! Ohhhh and later someone got me to try the sautéed pork dumplings in the best gyoza sauce known to man. Now I'm celiac so when I say these are to die for, I mean literally . Master Joe trained in Tokyo, Japan for something like 9 years to become a master sushi chef. Lucky for us he settled in Fairhope, Alabama to rear his family and open his phenomenal restaurant.

We had crab rangoons, pork dumpling, and fried veg rolls for appetizers, then veg Pad Thai, and coconut shrimp for our entrees. Food, and I mean everything, was fantastic!!! About $20.00 per person. Great atmosphere, and very clean!

Best thing: The boutique location in downtown Fairhope (it serves its purpose as a quick Asian spot…read moreif you just need something nearby). Type of Food: Asian Fusion / Pan-Asian (featuring a mix of Japanese sushi, Hibachi, Chinese classics, Thai noodle dishes, and Vietnamese Pho). Wok by d'Bay | Local Chinese Foods Review: Wok By D'Bay is located in a nice boutique area on Fairhope Ave, but unfortunately, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. I placed a takeout order, and it quickly became obvious that takeout customers are not a priority here. The staff focused heavily on seating and serving the people walking in for tables instead. To make matters worse, there was almost zero communication about the status of my order, and my food sat completed behind the counter for quite a while before anyone finally handed it to me (didn't know at the time). When I finally got the food, it was just okay--nothing special--and the high prices felt completely unjustified given how small the portions were. It might pass if you just happen to be in the immediate area and need a quick fix, but the lack of service standards means you are better off looking elsewhere. Cons: The service is incredibly slow for takeout, communication is poor, and your food may sit forgotten on the counter while dine-in tables are prioritized. Additionally, the prices are high for the small portion sizes you receive. Thumbs up / Thumbs down: Thumbs down (I would look for good food elsewhere).

I can't remember the name of the salad, it has the crab. I opted for their homemade ginger dressing. Yummy yum yum.
