We arrived today as soon as they opened. Have passed by many times as we live very close and decided to try today. Not impressed at all. Ambiance was great. Very cool vibe but Sushi was lacking. We had 3 rolls VIP, volcano and spicy tuna. What was suppose to be a volcano roll topping was very dry and mushy at the same time, cucumbers in the roll had gone bad and the deep fried VIP roll was cold. WOW!! From the minute we walked in and saw the fun decor, it caught our attention. Our waitress, Naomi was incredible as she waited on us like she had known us for years! I was really impressed with the bathrooms as they were black and pink, such a different color scheme for any restaurant I'd ever been in and very clean for being both genders. The music was upbeat as it was Rock-n-Roll with the videos playing on all the TV's. As far as the food...DELICIOUS! I have been to many sushi restaurants and this by far is one of my top new places. This is my 2nd time ordering to go food from this establishment. The rolls both times were incredibly small. I got the lobster roll for $20.99 and it was the same size as the $5 sushi at Publix, possibly even smaller. Also my miso soup wasn't even filled halfway. There might have been four sips of soup in the container. The food is fresh, but definitely lacking for the extremely high prices. Not sure if this is just a "to go" order problem, or all around. Be careful eating at this location! I've always love RnR Sushi.. this was my first time at this location. My mom and I went for late lunch around 4. The floors were sticky, and he place was very dirty. We had to try every booth until we found a clean one. I ordered 2 rolls. After eating about half way through I saw little sprigs sticking out from my roll- my first thought was fish bones. But after further investigation they looked like bristles from a brush of some kind. (Still not sure) we asked the waitress- she had no idea. She handed my plate to the guy behind the counter(maker of said sushi) and he tried to tell us it was from the avocado.... Well not from any avocados I've ever seen. The waitress didn't seem bothered by me not willing to eat it.. and didn't offer to take it off the bill. No apologies or anything.. they just acted like it was totally fine to eat.. very dissatisfied with the service we received. Ordered food when they weren't busy. Took Over 25 minutes just to receive one order it and then I had cold food brought to me. Their "Hall of Fame Brownies" didn't even come with the whipped cream or cherries. I am very disappointed with the food and service I received. I would not recommend. I arrived at this location I had never been to before. I placed an order. Service was quick. I got my food and left. I noticed when I got in my car and opened my food that my order was wrong. So I turned around and brought my roll back to restaurant. After I waited for about 10 min I had to ring the phone from the counter to get someone to come out. After waiting 15 min in an empty restaurant, I got the right roll. I personally will skip this location on my next trip in this city. read more

First off, this is not your typical sit down sushi place. Think more fast casual sushi. Yes, the sushi is pre packaged to an extent, but the overall quality is great and you get your order fast. Prices are a little higher than some other options, but you can't beat the convenience. Plus it has a neat/different atmosphere/vibe. Personally, I've never seen the issues with wait time or service that other reviews have mentioned. Nothing but positive experiences from me on both of those areas. My only real gripe/wish is that the place is a bit small. I wish it had more seating and a full bar. Still, it will be a quick, regular stop for us locals. read more

Absolutely horrible and horrifying. Owner is rude to employees and guests. Of course it happens as Sushi was equal to the owner. Sticky, slimy old fish in and on top of my roll. Smelled and tasted bad. Couldn't finish my first bite. The amount of sauce on top of the roll must have equaled the weight of the roll to mask the horror underneath. I truly feel sorry for anyone paying money for this product. The employees should all boycott until a real restaurant owner and proper management can take over. There may be a better run Rock and Roll Sushi out there, but I'll never know. Total turn off from the whole franchise, who would allow this to happen as a representation for their company. Writing this review while STILL waiting in the parking lot, waiting for food... DO NOT go to Rock and Roll Sushi tonight!!! We ordered ahead and have been sitting in the parking lot waiting for AN HOUR waiting for food. We've been watching people come in and out very angry, at what I'm guessing a similar experience. I just called in and asked for the status and was told "maybe 10 more minutes". I asked if they were doing anything like comping the meal or offering a discount for the future and was told "no ma'am". Atrocious customer service. I get it's a learning curve, but over an hour after the call in order was promised????? I paid in advance, so can't leave. read more

The food used to be good, but the quality has dipped down a little. It's no surprise since there's almost no one ever at this restaurant. It's sometimes a ghost town in there. Secondly the staff for the most part is good, but there's one waitress who has gotten my order wrong twice and seems like she doesn't care at all and she even overcharged me for a roll once. An example happened recently where she asked if I wanted to add avocado and I said no thank you, and she proceeded to ring me up for extra avocado. I would avoid this place at all cost. I went a few days ago and I have to say the staff was nice and the food came out fast- this was a big change from the past, good on you guys. Was surprised to read about the lack of customer service as Japanese restaurants are usually pretty good. This place doesn't seem to be Japanese owned or operated and customer service doesn't seem to be a priority. Left without ordering and won't be back! The inside is like a traditional sushi house in Japan. Small and cramped with minimal seating. Their menu looks amazing and the sushi was delicious. The presentation of our plates was beautiful! Now the down side...they were at about half occupancy therefore we were seated promptly. Shortly after our order was taken the place filled to capacity. We started noticing that three tables that were seated after us had been served and we had not received our meals yet. We bring it to there attention and they told us that a "mobile" order came in and threw them off. The manager came over and said that a discount will be applied to our bill. When the bill arrived the discount was on there but there were two items on it that were not ours. Now they bring us a corrected bill without the discount!! Not going to leave one star. It's actually been decent a couple times. I guess it all depends on which sushi chef you get. I had a roll recently and the pieces of fish on top were the smallest I've ever seen. And I'm a huge sushi guy. Been eating it for 22 years. I'm disappointed because it's right by my house and don't want to drive all the way to Pensacola. It's a chain, I guess this is what you get when you do chain sushi restaurants.
