Guy Fieri has never done me wrong, so we booked a trip over after settling into our hotel for the evening. We decided to order online since we find pizza usually takes a little while to cook. Our estimated pick up was 30 minutes after order. When we stepped in, it wasn't that busy for a Monday April evening, with only two tables occupied. We were greeted by the cashier and told it wasn't quite ready yet. The order ended up taking 40 minutes total. One thing we immediately noticed was that the pricing in store didn't match pricing online. For example, the Bhinda Special Pizza Medium Size we ordered for $17.95 online was $21 in store, and the Garlic Naan was $4.50 online but $5.50 in store. I guess they have some updating to do. Bhinda Special Pizza, Medium ($17.95 online) - The pizza is pretty unique since it doesn't use a traditional pizza dough and instead is on a naan-like base. The edges of the naan are crisp, but the interior portion are unfortunately dry and tough. It's oblong in shape and completely flat, unable to bubble up due to the toppings. The crust is honestly not very good. It's very floppy, dense and tough. While advertised as being a 12" pizza, I measured it at only around 11" by 10". The naan is first spread with a base sauce that gives off a tiny bit of heat, amplified by the fresh jalapenos placed on top. I don't eat too much Indian food so I can't really begin to describe the spice mix or the sauce used in lieu of tomato sauce. The flavors are layered pretty well though. They are quite generous with the toppings, although they don't overload the pizza so it's not soggy at all. There's chicken that's tandoori-style with pink edges, plenty of fatty mozzarella, garlic and ginger to add more flavor, then a variety of different vegetables, including cauliflower, mushrooms, and onion. (2/5) Garlic Naan ($4.50 online) - This is a really thin naan and is very tough in texture. There are crackly and bubbly bits, which look nice but doesn't make the texture any better. The naan is covered with a cilantro garlic mix that's quite sweet. It's about 14 or 15 inches in diameter, so it's probably equivalent to a large pizza in size. There's a bit of a smoky flavor. (2/5) Overall I found the naan from Curry Pizza to be subpar. Unfortunately they use it as a base for the pizza, making it tough and dense. It's a bad sign when I contemplate eating instant ramen over the food I ordered. I would not visit again. Bathrooms - Single unisex room

Rock Reef Cafe is another simple dining option in Torrey, and honestly, in a town with limited dinner choices, it works well enough after a long day exploring Capitol Reef National Park. The atmosphere is casual, family-friendly, and relaxed. They have both indoor seating and a large outdoor area, which is nice in the evenings when the weather cools down a bit. The service was interesting because it felt very inconsistent depending on who was helping us. The male staff members were attentive, friendly, conversational, and checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. The female servers, on the other hand, seemed distracted and less engaged overall. More than once, we noticed they brought the check without asking whether we wanted dessert or needed anything else. It did not feel rude exactly, just uneven in terms of attentiveness. One thing I really enjoyed was the whiskey sour, which came complete with a little umbrella. I had not had a drink with a tiny umbrella in forever, and honestly it added an unexpected level of vacation happiness to the evening. Sometimes small details carry the mood. The house salad was actually very good, especially because they were generous with the avocado, which immediately earns points in my world. We also had the trout with mashed potatoes. The trout was decent, though a little dry, but still enjoyable enough after a long day outdoors. We noticed a lot of people ordering pizza, so that may actually be one of their stronger menu items, though we decided to skip it this time. Overall, Rock Reef Cafe is a solid, casual option in Torrey. We had lunch at Rock Reef Cafe, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! The service was top truly notch, the kitchen was super fast, and the food was really solid. I ordered the Impossible Burger, and it was simply superb. The fresh toasted bun and the pickles added a nice touch to the burger. The loaded fries were definitely worth the splurge. They were cheesy, spicy, and simply decadent. My hubs also tried the veg pizza with homemade crust, which was pretty darn good. We were starving after a long hike and ordered way too much food, but it was great to try so many things. Overall, we had a great time at Rock Reef Cafe, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a yummy dining experience. read more

I assume the restaurant doesn't have a large enough grill for more than a couple burgers at once? Unfortunately, our order was placed after theirs so we had to wait even longer.
