Ordered a grill cheese sandwich. Not really hard to mess up a grilled cheese, but the cheese wasn't even melted and it was cold, not to mention, no butter on the bread. I sent it back and the new one comes back and it's was basically toast with two pieces of American cheese. A grilled cheese is supposed to be buttered on both sides to give it flavor. This was the most flavorless grilled cheese ever. The fries looked like the oil hadn't been changed in forever, brown and greasy with no seasoning. Glad I didn't order the hamburgers as they were sitting out on a counter in stacks of raw burgers in the kitchen. I could see it through the window in the door. That is a No-no. The usual suspects are on the menu but they also have a couple of great ones you don't see at other places, like the Southwest burger with lots of chilis. The chicken tenders were also really good. Spent over $80 plus a tip for 4 burgers & fries. Overpriced, but totally expected & understandable given their location. What is completely unacceptable is the fact they wouldn't remake one of the burgers when it unexpectedly came with mayo. Mayo was not listed as one of the many ingredients listed. The reason they refused was there is supposedly a sign saying all burgers come with mayo. Not sure there is a sign, but even if there is, that is absurd. Went in to order ice cream cone just before 7pm. Placed our order and couple behind us placed order for food. We were waiting for 20 minutes and the people that ordered after ours food came out. Stopped the waitress and inquired about our order. They came out and apologized and got our order. We ended up here on a Sunday evening hoping to grab something and take it back to our lodge. It was busy so there was a wait which was fine. When I ordered my husband's grilled cheese and me the small 5 pc. basket of sticky chicken chunks with an upgrade to a side salad I thought the total was high. When I question him about the $6.00 difference with my meal price he told us that their menu hadn't been updated in a very long time and that he had been on his manager about it. My husband asked if the manager was present and he said no. He said he would see what he could do about the price difference but did not. When I received our take out meals I saw that my chicken was just dry breaded chicken, nothing about it was so called "sticky" Neither was there sticky sauce with it. I figure the cashier simply doesn't know the menu to know the difference and it was easier for him to lie to our faces. I think the lesson here is to stick to what an establishment's known for, burgers, and do better research next time. This place is dirty and my chicken was RAW. IM LITERALLY GOING TO THROW UP. When I told them it was raw, they just put it straight back into the fryer, even the one I bit off of! The girl at the front desk was wildly unhelpful. At least the guy delivering the food was nice and helpful. We saw a lot of unhappy customers and 1.5 hours later we understood why. $15 for a standard small town burger is insane and then it was dry, the bun was soggy, the fries were tasteless and it was absolutely not worth the cost or the wait. It was nice that they put the lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on the side because I only want the lettuce and tomato in my burger, hold the pickles and onions, please. You won't go away hungry since the portions are large. Both dining areas are spacious. You can choose to either dine inside or outside. Inside has retro diner or table seating, neat and clean with fun decor on the walls like nostalgic signs and license plates. Outside there is a window where you can also place your order. Dine under a covered roof in their outdoor picnic-style tables. The staff of young people were nice and friendly. They seemed really young!
