Someone came to our vehicle and wrote down our order, so when we got to the window to pay, it was ready for us. We ordered the strawberry smoothie, mixed berry smoothie, chai frappe, and two everything bagels with cream cheese. By the way, the bagels (choose between plain or everything) are toasted and are large, and you smear on the cream cheese yourself. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly! Coffee is delightful! We visited Dark Sky Coffee every morning while visiting Capital Reef. It was the perfect way to start the day. We were welcomed by the friendly staff. This is the spot in Torrey to get your caffeine fix. We stopped by on a cold and windy morning before we headed to Capitol Reef for some hiking. Not only do they have coffee and tea options, Dark Sky also has some food on the menu. We had initially gone to the walk-up window, but one of the staff, seeing that we were kinda freezing in the blustery wind, suggested that we get back in our car and take advantage of the drive-thru window which we did--thank you for your concern! I had my usual oat milk latte plus a toasted everything bagel with butter. Other breakfast items available if you're on the go, too: oatmeal, breakfast burritos, yogurt parfaits, danishes, and cookies. Dark Sky also offers ice cream and milkshakes, which must be really popular in the hotter months. Coffee was ok, my wife thought it tasted a bit burnt but I thought it was good. The breakfast burrito was boring. Under seasoned potato mostly with a bit of bland sausage. We're in town for the weekend and we decided to stop by this local coffee shop. It was the most delicious coffee I have had in a very long time. The prices were reasonable for four coffees it was $20 bucks. The guy working was so very friendly and always had a smile on his face. Needless to say, I will be back tomorrow and if you have not tried their hot chai, it is absolutely delightful. My favorite was the white mocha cold with a little bit of whip cream. Really great coffee, I had the carmel macchiato and it was very delicious. Don't know if I just came on a day where things were off but I waited around 15 minutes and there was only one person in line ahead of me. The one staff member that took my order and I paied with was very apathetic. There was no since of friendliness compared to the other places in town I visited and her attitude kinda threw me off. This was a cute little walk-or-drive-up coffee shack with no interior dining room. The exterior tables were pretty packed when we drove up, which was a good recommendation. The line of vehicles for the drive-up also stretched all the way around the shack and back to the road. We started debating about our wisdom in stopping by as we got 15 minutes into the wait to order, but we were having a wild road-trip adventure, and listening to a good book, so we were more amused by the wait than aggravated. Turns out, that wait was worth it. We ordered the frozen caramel macchiato and frozen black & white, which as far as we can tell is a dark and white chocolate mocha. The drinks were smoother than most soft-serve shakes we've ever had the pleasure of drinking, and had the right balance of sweet to the natural bitterness of the coffee that they were refreshing right down to the last slurp. We could definitely see why the locals rate this as the area's top coffee shop. read more

They also had muffins and bagels which I didn't have but expect they would also be amazing. My americano was really good, not burnt nor bitter. I had read about this place in other reviews and knew we had to stop there on our only morning in Torrey. It even made the Excel spreadsheet trip itinerary - of course it did, right? Anyway, we pulled into the Dark Sky drive-thru and we're blown away by both the extent of the menu and the vibe of the folks working. They could not have been more engaging and fun!
