We recently took a family vacation at Zion, this was our favorite little shop out of all the ones that we stopped by! I picked up some moss agate + quartz for my plants, I had an espresso milkshake, my man had a cappuccino, and soft serve for the kids. The prices here are fair and customer service was exceptional. Coffee in Utah isn't as great as we are used to, this place had the best coffee out of all the places we stopped by. If you are traveling through Utah, you'll notice some shops have employees wearing masks and others do not, it's kind of a hit or miss in regards to health safety. We were happy to see the shop owner wearing a mask here and washing his hands plenty. He was also incredibly sweet (not everyone is out here lol)! Theres also a very sweet & pretty kitty who hangs out on the patio, my kids loved her! I suggest making a stop here, checking out their great collection + ordering some ice cream or coffee and enjoying the beautiful view from the patio. I saw this on Yelp and knew we'd be driving by - how can you not stop at a rock shop shaped like a rock? That also serves coffee? My crew and I are nerds who love rocks and minerals, so we were excited. Don was so friendly and informative. I bought a beautiful coaster and he threw in a magnet I was going to buy for free! We were staying in a cabin on an apple farm not too far away from here and decided to take a scenic drive stumbling across Don's Rock Shop. You can't miss it, shaped like an actual rock. I forgot to actually feel the building to see what it was made out of, assuming not a giant rock, but it could pass as one hollowed out. Outside the store was large tables filled with various types of rocks and glass. Inside you can find an assortment of souvenirs from low prices of a few dollars to a few hundred. Quite a bit of which is hand crafted stone, wood, and pottery work from various artists, I couldn't help myself but to buy a few. We ordered a latte and americano to go which were tasty. Don was great and made our experience very enjoyable. One more side note was the view of the mountain face behind his store is breathtaking and should be taken note of! read more

This is an unassuming rock-shaped building. Without Yelp, I probably would have given it a hard pass. But this place is amazing!! The owner is lovely and while their isn't cold brew, the iced latte with oat milk is delicious! Lots of neat coke options (raspberry?!?) and lots of really unique rocks and fossils. Ahh such a cool little stop! Visited a little over two years ago now so I can't recall much of the experience, other than the rockin' exterior. (No more puns will be used for the remainder of this review) I'm really only leaving a review because I was admiring my ring just now and remembering my interaction with a sweet older gentleman who was working the day we stopped in. I bought a turquoise/silver ring and have worn it nearly every day since (over 2 years)! So, great quality! Living on the east coast, I get tons of compliments on it because turquoise isn't common over here. The customer service was pretty great too! I was worried that the stone might fall out of the casing. The gentleman gave me his card and said if anything happened, I could mail it back and he would fix it for free. A definite must stop and stretch out your legs place. Super duper wonderful people and a delightful wake up stop between Zion and Bryce! I needed coffee for an early morning drive from our trip and this came up. I am soooooo happy to say that I returned again and again (literally 3 times in the month of June) to Southern Utah looking forward to stopping for the delicious hazelnut Latte and the best mini donuts I have ever had. You can enjoy a stroll through the shop looking at the variety of precious rocks, souvenirs, and decors while waiting for your drinks. They were such great people. For starters they had an accessible bathroom. They also had tea, coffee, delicious ice cream, and several other treats! The crystals/rocks were beautiful and had many different types! If you go outside there are larger rocks, geodes, and even petrified wood. My son and I stopped here on our way from Bryce to Antelope Canyon. It was an early March morning and we were in dire need of some coffee. Not much else is around or even open this time of year, and we were happy to find this place was. And what a happy morning for us! The owner is super friendly and makes delicious coffee. He just started up with making donuts - brown sugar and cinnamon, powdered, and chocolate or vanilla glazed. He let us try a sample, and we went for a dozen each of the brown sugar and cinnamon and chocolate glazed. The fresh donuts were delicious and made a perfect road trip snack to go with our coffees. If you or your kids are looking for fossils, sandstone or other types of rocks, minerals, or even dinosaur poop, there are tons of places in Southern Utah where you can stop, but make sure to make the Rock Stop one of them. The outside of the store looks like it came out of The Flintstones cartoon series and they even have a Flinstones car outside that you can sit in. Not only are there tons of great finds both inside and outside of the store, but the owner - Don - is friendly and helpful. After you make your purchase be sure to put a pin on the map to show where you're from. All in all, a great place for a short pit-stop in between Bryce and Zion. read more

Exactly what you would expect - a shop full of rocks but with the added bonus of an unbelievably friendly couple that makes great coffee! One of the few coffee spots on the route from Bryce to Zion and it's a great one. Make sure you go to the Rock Stop - there are 3 rock shops within a mile radius! After 3 days of terrible hotel coffee in Utah, the espresso at the Rock Stop was like finding an oasis in desert. The strong, rich espresso over soft serve ice cream was pure heaven for this caffeine starved Californian. Plus, Don was very knowledgable on all the rocks on hand and answered all our questions. Happy to answer questions about the area or any rocks in the shop he has. Stopped here after leaving Zion for coffee and oh my god amazing donuts and coffee!!!! They can make any flavor iced or hot! Their espresso is so good!!
