Found this place by accident and I'm so glad I stopped in...all the ladies in the store were so sweet, fun, and helpful. The store is very cute and the clothes there are hand-picked high quality for sale by the owner so you don't have to sift through mountains of unwanted junk before you get to good stuff. She was very helpful and wasn't pushy about upselling, which is so rare nowadays. Definitely bought my new favorite pair of pants from here, very reasonably priced. I saw their ad in the College Times and decided to check it out. Had a coupon for free earrings (little stud dice ones) and I lost it; they still gave them to me anyways since they knew I was legit :) Stormy the co-owner is really nice. Lots of cool bargains to choose from; some really nice stuff I had to pass up since I am on a budget :) I did in-store trading too and got around $24 worth of store credit, which I used all at once. Yes! Just what Tempe needs somewhere with unique and different to shop. Like this place, staff ( I think Stormy with the awesome red hair) was so helpful. They have fun stuff, I got some stuff for work (will pass dress code) and some cool finds for not at work. Alot of really fun neat jewelry. Originally came in with my clothes to sell, they were very nice, not a snooty attitude that some resale have. They were very fair in trade, if you bring in your stuff you get more in trade (pretty much like other resale shops) , I found neat stuff took the trade and bought more than my trade. They have a 30 day layaway, so I put a coach purse on layaway for my sis for Christmas and a cool artist's Sugarskull purse for me ( great price didnt want them to be gone). Going to send my brother for some cool band t-shirts. Would recommend to my friends. read more

Driving by this store front shop the Skull candy in window caught my attention. No doubt something that I needed to check out, I turned around and after some navigation found a place to park. There is a large parking lot in the back if you go west of the shops you can get in, or sneak a spot at the Circle k(wink wink) jk that would be wrong! The store is filled wall to wall with reasonabley priced new & in their words "previously loved items" trendy clothes, jewelry purses and more. The skull candy & day of the dead girl art work had me so distracted that I was almost late returning to work, highly recommend allowing yourself more browsing time than a lunch hour. I'll be returning to this local hot shop, there is some art work I need to add to my walls! read more

I love this store, they such an eclectic selection. It's so hard for me to find clothes that I usually drive to Tucson to find clothes as there is no such store that carries anything I like. The workers were very friendly and helped me with my every request. I was able to find 5 inch platform boots in neon pink, which may sound bizarre to some, but to me is just an awesome find for those parties crazy people like me go to. They sell a lot of local art, men's clothes, and funky accessories. Everything was reasonably priced, which is a big plus in my book. It is right next to the Yucca Tap Room. read more

I always have so much fun whenever i'm there. They have a very fair trade system and i feel they give me a more reasonable estimate then buffalo exchange. I was about to head to Name Brand Exchange today to sell some used clothing and stumbled upon this place on Yelp while trying to find their address. I decided to come here instead because of the reviews and the fact that it's only 5 minutes from my house. I am sure glad I came here! Employees were so friendly, the prices for new and used clothing are very fair and they pay a fair amount for the clothes they buy from you. Favorite things about Rocket: Always getting new stuff, very responsive to what customers request, have a great variety, good trade values when I bring my stuff, recognize repeat customers (super nice staff!), unique jewelry. Fun find. Suuuper unique clothing. Found a few shirts, a dress off the $2.00 rack and two rings that I LOVE. I wish I lived here to shop often, but I will be back every time I visit AZ and shop online. I almost steered clear of the store bc the style looked too retro for me, but so glad I took the chance. I will say for one piece of feedback that the girl overcharged me by ringing something up twice (a little over 10.00). But I do trust that if I went back they would have taken care of it. On my first visit to the Phoenix area, I wanted a real taste of the local flavor & locally-owned businesses are a must for me. I'm also a voracious thrifter & was thrilled to discover Rocket Resale! The owner Roseana was so friendly & helpful, and even gave me some local tips on food & fun :) Their selection is impressive for such a small spot & I loved their selection of merchandise from local artists. Their prices are very reasonable & they even have sales on select items. I fell in LOVE with a ring, but it was too big & Roseana suggested I check back before the end of my trip to see if she had a chance to re-size it! The store has the potential to be a really good place to find amazing items however the customer service is deplorable. I loved the selection of clothes and as a stylist I really loved they had really nice things for all sizes. The store is small and has a lot of stuff packed in the space but they have labeled everything pretty good and it was easy enough to find items. The manager/owner however was rude and very short coming. When asked questions it was answered very short and in a defensive manner and the store was having a moving sale which reduced items by 25% but because of this no items could be held until the next business day. The manager was asked the process in selling items for store credit and the answer was extremely rude. I understand sometimes its not always a good day but as a person who has worked customer service and a business owner, first impressions are always lasting and one should try to make the best first impression. I did not appreciate the way I was handled. read more

This place has changed over the years. The plaza is very empty and questions you if you're in the right area. Not joking! I tried selling some of my clothes and they took a few pieces which is was I gave them a star. Another star for, the friendliness of the associates working there. However, there was multiple times where they were loudly gossiping about their friends/coworkers/private life. I found it distracting and kind of made me uncomfortable not wanting to be there because of their language and inappropriate comments about their private life. As I took a look around, I've noticed that majority of their clothes are very pricey! The price range for women dresses any sizes is $29-$55. I found it surprising because these dresses were Target/PacSun/Gap styles but prices were increased as used clothing not new. Eh. No thank you. I thought it be nice to go thrift shopping by saving money but I guess not. read more

My bf bought me some accessories for Christmas. A few bracelets that don't fit and a ring that is the wrong size. He also bought me a purse that is just too small, I won't use it. He assumes I can at least exchange anything that doesn't work for me. He pulls the receipt to see "all sales final" on it. Nobody told him prior to buying anything. I've shopped here many times before and nobody told me either. So we try it anyway, that's all we can do and it was accessories so I didn't think that would be an issue. We go in to ask and they keep a firm no. Seriously? Then one of the girls says I can use their buy back option. I'm like but you buy it back for less, right? And she's like well yeah. Again, seriously? Who offers that option. Of course that was AFTER she said that I can just "sell them". Like my time isn't valuable at all. I have looked up the store to see if there is a way to get in touch with Stormy who is the owner and there isn't. I live an hour away from them now so it's not that convenient to just drive over. They have one sign on their door that says all sales final. No other sinage in the store and nothing by the register. Yes, he should have read the sign. Along with the other 3 pieces of paper up there too. Regardless, don't swindle people, It's a bad look. And for the love, don't offer to buy back at a lesser price. Just do the exchange. Chances are, we would have spent more anyway. So now, they have lost 2 customers and likely countless more with this ridiculous policy. No returns? Fine. Exchanges only, even within 7 days of purchase, fine. But nothing? Not fine. Especially with the holidays. And I know he spent a grip of money in that store. So Stormy, if you read this, I hope you'll reach out and make this right. And If not, I hope you educate your employees to tell people about your policy and not just leave it up to a sign on the door or a stamped receipt after the fact. I loved your store but I won't shop there again after this. Not unless this is made right. I know if someone had told him there were NO exchanges, he would have just bought a gift card and we'd both be happy. Now I have gifts I can't wear or use and I'm having to deal with the aggravation of this and trying to sell them. You can do better by your customers. Especially as a small business owner. read more

I love everything about this store and the care that the owners put into acquiring great items. No matter how long I spend shopping, I come away with something I love for less than I would expect to pay. On my last visit, I went into the dressing room for 3 full rounds of trying on items, and went home with 2 big bags of clothes in great condition, a mix of new and barely used, for easily half of what I would've paid retail elsewhere... if I could even find this stuff somewhere else! I'm excited for all the changes coming to that shopping center and hope the renovations strengthen the appeal and community vibe going on in the store. read more
