The space is half outdoors and half covered, with two levels to explore. The drinks were cheap and surprisingly strong. The rock area had a great band, although they charged far too much to play a requested song. The dance and techno club was also a lot of fun, and the music kept the entire place lively. Throughout the night, I kept asking everyone where Rick was. Each time, someone told me to quiet down. Naturally, I responded by yelling, "RICK! RICK! RICK!" in rapid succession. Rick then appeared from a puff of green smoke, looking like a combination of Macho Man Randy Savage and Grandpa from The Munsters. He asked why I had summoned him by saying his name three times. I apologized and explained that I had merely been trying to locate the owner. Rick handed me three Bacardi Lemon shots and ordered me to drink them back-to-back-to-back to cleanse the air. I obeyed, and we soon found ourselves laughing over a terrible "bad blood" joke. He then gave me a tour of his many bars, introduced me to a suspiciously pale bartender named Vlad, and led the crowd in a spirited rendition of "The Monster Mash." Rick even shared his favorite vampire joke: "Why did the vampire open a bar?" "To raise the spirits, but business was slow because everyone kept asking for a Bloody Mary." It was a fantastic night, although I did wake up the next morning with two strange dots on my neck and an intense craving for tomato juice. I'm choosing to believe it was just an aggressive mosquito and not a vampire initiation ritual. Great atmosphere, strong drinks, good music, plenty to explore, and possibly one undead proprietor. Five stars.

There was live music playing, pool tables, and even some video games, so there's plenty to keep you and the family entertained while you hang out. Kids are allowed in, but they aren't allowed to sit at the bar. It definitely feels like one of those places where you can lose track of time in the best way. They also have a merch area with hoodies, stickers, and other souvenirs if you want to take a little piece of the experience home. And knowing it's one of the oldest bars in the Keys just adds to the charm and history of the place. The service was quick, you walk up to the bar and order then find a place to sit. Super chill and laid back. One fun thing you have to try is tossing a quarter into the fish's mouth outside... test your luck and see if you can land it! Can't forget the drinks! The rum punch is to die for... super refreshing and perfect for the Key West heat. Overall, such a fun stop if you're in town. Definitely worth checking out! Fun fact: - it used to be a morgue and ice house back in the day. it also used to be the original home of Sloppy Joes, before they moved to Duvall St.

Of course it is an attraction because it is supposedly the original Sloppy Joes where Ernest Hemingway hung out. It is dark inside with low ceilings. People have hung paper currency all over and you will also see lots of bras hanging from the ceiling. There is live music and lots of people watching. We enjoyed our drinks and the fun atmosphere.

Our bartender, Daniel, told us how good the food was - especially the Jamaican Jerk Wings. My wife and I were like, yeah, whatever dude, we don't look at trip advisor and the foods going to be meh. Well, we were wrong. Jerk wings were great. So were the pork sliders. Like really really great. Anyhoo - we crushed the food. Had some drinks. Watched the end of the last 2 late NFL games and then Daniel took us around the complex. Um, the old strip club in back is now a karaoke bar? Whaaaaatttttt!!!! We will be back once the good ole bac starts approaching .2. And man alive do I miss Cowboy Bills, i wish they'd bring it back. But i hear its becoming an event space. I cant wait to see it. It's been far too long. Anyways, I cant wait to come back. I can't believe we hadn't stopped in earlier. The food hit the spot and love the fact that our bartender was so stoked about the complex coming back to life. 5 stars fooooooo shooooo
