These two students are also citizens in two different countries other than the United States of America and they did not get nominated for most likely to travel the world they also did not feature a section specifically for people who are not citizens of this country. the yearbook club is very closed minded when it came to international students they only featured students who have traveled countries for vacation over summer break but there were almost little to none students who actually got featured in the yearbook who are citizens of multiple countries. I personally find it a bit wrong to not feature these people and take the time to know abt their special stories. The students bought a yearbook only to not be featured at all in the sections that they were almost guaranteed to win. another thing that I find wrong about the school, is specific teachers way of teaching. I also know of many students that have complained about a specific teachers way of teaching, as he or she mainly talked them through showing a sheet of notes. However, nobody took action in the complaints and as a result of this lots of students failed this class. I think this should be an example that some teaching at the school should be more hands-on than it is at the moment.

I loved all my teachers, shout out to Mr. Hicks. The moms are terrible at driving, so watch out in the parking lot. Also, this school kinda has a gossip problem; the moms even gossip about the kids, and the kids also gossip a lot. The Bayside blaster will always be amazing. I still crave it. The main church's theology was kinda interesting, a little evangelical. Also, the school makes you pledge to the bible, the Christian flag, and the American flag, which felt like it bordered on Christian nationalism since you do them all in order, but do with that as you will. The visual arts are kinda lackluster, and sports are very favored at that school. To be fair, a lot can change in nearly 3 years; this is just my experience. I was also a bit of a menace at this school. The Bathroom parties were exquisite.

So far, so good. We just started at the end of last year, so I don't have much to offer yet, but…read morecompared to Rocklin Academy Gateway, my daughter is much happier for many reasons. The big things that have been positive are how organized staff was and how supportive they were to getting us in. They were VERY proactive. They also were very responsive to my requests to speak about my son for next year's special ed. My 7th grader had no major issues while transitioning in the spring as a new student. We had to remove her from a toxic situation at Rocklin Academy Gateway (my 3rd kid removed from that school). The parking situation, while it's not monitored well (always a concern for middle schoolers and bullies) the routes have been ok. Someone did hit my car, but honestly that's very common at schools as parents just don't know how to be patient anymore and follow rules. Not good..but not as nightmarish as other schools like RAG and some bay area schools. The library is great and the facilities are much cleaner than the schools my kids went to including a new school in the bay area. The food is exceptional, but it would be nice for some reform to include on meat and dairy options considering our extreme climate situation and animal agriculture as well as kids with dairy allergies. For 2024 there will be a new principal and vice principal with a good reputation, so let's see if that improves anything. The biggest issue right now at the school is communication, or lack of communication and updating the website. They also removed girls softball which is a bummer but not a deal breaker. The school also doesn't have soccer. Their electives are great. I suggest you take a look at the website for more on that.

My college bound kids have been academically prepared for the rigors of Twelve Bridges High School and my oldest graduated from TBHS and got into all 3 of his top choices (UCBerkeley, UCLA and UCSD- for engineering). A solid academic foundation is key- and my kids have received that at Twelve Bridges Middle School.

My children had cultivated a close-knit community at Lincoln JAA and appreciated the overall positive atmosphere. They held high expectations that the Roseville campus would offer a similar environment; however, we were disappointed following our interaction with Mr. Norman Gonzales, the Secondary Principal of JAA, and Mr. Smith. The initial reception was anything but welcoming. The conversation quickly shifted to one of my daughter's academic performances, highlighting her struggles in a manner that rendered her feelings of inadequacy and anxiety regarding credit recovery for graduation. While I acknowledge the importance of direct communication, it is essential to remember that we are addressing a teenager, not an adult. My child has faced significant self-esteem and confidence challenges stemming from prior experiences of bullying, which is precisely why we sought the supportive environment at JAA. Mr. Gonzales's demeanor, which I suspect may be influenced by his extensive background in government, appeared to lack compassion. He was cold and lacked any empathy. Someone like this should not be in education or around children. It doesn't surprise me that he was on the JAA board; the same board that failed to adequately inform parents about the closure of the high school division at JAA Lincoln. His comments, particularly regarding my daughter's appearance and the manner in which he addressed her, were inappropriate and made her cry during the orientation. The atmosphere felt more like an interrogation than a welcoming introduction, and his behavior was entirely uncalled for. He was speaking to us like we were beneath him. Mr. Smith remained largely silent throughout the meeting, which I interpret as a precautionary measure to avoid incurring Mr. Gonzales's disapproval. I left the meeting astonished that an educator would confront and demean a child in such a manner. It appears they reviewed her transcripts, recognized her IEP status, and opted to distance themselves by deterring her from attending. Also, he wanted to make it very clear that they do not have services for emotional needs and that they do have a bullying issue. Rather than conveying a message that they wished to welcome her back, it seemed they were discouraging our continued engagement with JAA. I am deeply unsettled by the handling of this situation and am considering elevating this matter to the board, as I believe this experience was both inappropriate and unacceptable. If they were attempting to discourage, they certainly won. I will never have my kids attend another John Adams Academy.
